Tribute Band Was Good.

Monster Truck
Ardingly Summerfest was busy there was much going so on that people were spread around the site pretty well. Monster truck show was easily our favourite part .
The Abingdon show has to be seen in…
The Abingdon show has to be seen in person.Photos simply don't show how wide it is.At one point there were fireworks everywhere we looked.
Ducklington was brilliant
Ducklington was brilliant. Great atmosphere, good sized fair and excellent fireworks. Exactly what we wanted from a family fireworks night.
Been to far Xplosive events now…
Been to far Xplosive events now everyone has been enjoyable .Some are enormous some have more a local community fee, but they clearly put a lot into the entertainment and fireworks are always first class 😊
Jaw dropping displays brought to you by Xplosive Events
Jaw dropping displays created by illusion fireworks and showcased by explosive events, you can not find a bigger show that surrounds you with the biggest firework finales. Each year they get bigger and better!
Plenty of things to enjoy like the funfair and food stalls if you want to miss the initial mass exit!
Amazing displays and great event…
Amazing displays and great event organisers I’ve been to afew events now summer and fireworks and they are all fantastic and well organised, yes Abingdon had some issues with the parking but the organisers have taken a this seriously from the communications they have sent out so this year should be a lot better and will then take away everyone’s main concern, even with the issues it was well worth the wait, to see fireworks like never before, absolutely amazing keep doing what you are doing as you make a lot of people very happy x
Better fireworks than Disney
Better fireworks than Disney!
Car park can be a nightmare but if you plan and get there early, and enjoy funfair ect after the display to let the crowds die down it will be fine
50th Birthday Shambles (Cancelled Event No Refund)
We were booked to go to the Ibiza Orchestra at Holdenby House for a friend's 50th birthday. There were 3 of us going in July, That event was cancelled and rescheduled at Holdenby House again for September, which non of us could make, so we requested a refund from the company. Weeks later, they replied and said they would send a refund in due course, but we are still waiting. If you comment on their events they advertise on social media, the posts get deleted, and they aren't replying to emails, so we are currently going through my friend's bank to get the money back. An absolute s**t show of a company. STAY AWAY, DON'T BOOK WITH THEM.

Event cancelled twice with no explanation and poor comms
We booked the symphonic Ibiza at Holdenby House. The event was cancelled but postponed to September. Yet again it was cancelled (with no explanation) so we’re now all trying to get ticket refunds… even now we’re getting emails to say ‘nearly time for your event get your tickets ready’ with ‘cancelled’ all over the email at the same time!! So badly organised and communications are extremely poor. I think the whole event could have been a scam.
1 srar is 1 to many for this shambles…
1 srar is 1 to many for this shambles of an organiser. Booked tickets for Icons live in northampton. It was delayed 2 months so I cancelled and asked for a refund....... Nothing. They then canceled the revised date and invited people to "apply" for a refund. After them having my money for 3 months and them cancelling the event TWICE, I still dont have money back and now have no option but to send a small claim as they eont respond and you cant call them. AVOID them - I think they are going bankrupt due to the way they behave and to prove it watch them not respond to this.
It was a shambles
It was a shameles, many things that were advertised were missing and not on . Car park opened 30 minutes later that expected which caused chaos, grass all uncut .... never again compared to other years this was extremely poor as an event.
Badly organised event
Badly organised event. Very poorly organised or the site is not suitable, probably both. Fireworks were supposed to start at 8pm. We left at 8.40 and they still hadn't started. No communication as to why. £5 to £8 per person for rides. £10 for a cheap hot dog. Sound system and lights were good. I would avoid at all costs
Service fee is a joke!
Went to Abingdon fireworks last November… despite the issues with fireworks not being very visible through the smoke and the lack of bonfire to start with, we did actually really enjoy it. Stepson loved the monster trucks and the rides, yes they are pricey but we didn’t expect much less and the fireworks were pretty cool. We seem to have had a smoother ride than most with the parking as we got in quite early and left while the last lot of fireworks were going. Probably didn’t spend more than 30 mins queueing either side of the event.
So with that said, we’ve not only booked tickets for the August fireworks in 2026, but we’ve also bought tickets for 2 other families plus a gazebo pitch. £270 odd of money is a lot, to then be slapped with a £20 “service fee”!!! Nearly £300?!? I am quite angry about this and the only thing that stopped me from not going was the fact we were going with other families. What an absolute joke, I will be making a complaint and requesting my money back for the “service fee” because I’m not sure what sort of service the £20 covered when I had to do it all myself! £3 yeah fine, but not £20!!
Ardingly Summerfest
Booked a family ticket which ended up costing nearly £100 Inc Parking.
When you initially walked in, it was chaos! First thing the kids see is the monster truck rides, which of course, is an additional cost.
Once we convinced them to go past, the next thing you come to is market stalls...again, run!
We decided to grab some food first, we went to the stall with the smallest que, we should've read the field as the food wasn't great however the price wasn't far off Michelin.
Once getting over the heart attack, of course the kids wanted to go on the rides next, obviously these also weren't included in the fee as these were £5+ Per Person. Possibly one attraction wasn't but that was over in 30 seconds.
After almost spending the daily budget in an hour, we decided to watch a couple of shows, kids excited for the monster trucks & us adults excited for the motorbikes....it wasn't worth us getting excited. The motorbike show was impressive but it wasn't thrilling, possibly saw 8 jumps in total between two guys....taking turns. Monster trucks just seemed to be racing up & down, the kids dragged us away within 5 minutes.
We then come across a donut stall....£5 per donut.
Drink stall....£11 per adult drink.
The only thing that seemed to be free was the live music...which took the kids attention for 10 minutes.
Possibly other stalls but everything was just so chaotic.
I do think they should have staff/stall reps going around asking kids if they want to get involved in the free things, or make it very obvious when something is for free.
It honestly would've been cheaper to all go to chessington for the day!
Terrible experience
Hi,
I just wanted to take this time to say how bad the traffic system was which resulted in my family missing the fireworks. We got to Abingdon at just after 4 and were queuing for over 2 hours. My little boy is almost 2 and hadn’t had his dinner, we were hoping we’d have this in there, also my partner is pregnant and was desperate for the toilet. We couldn’t possibly wait in the queue any longer as we had not moved, even half a mile for hours. It was ridiculous, we’ve been to your event before and we understand it’s busy, but we never waited longer than 20 minutes to get in and even leaving. We left in time to get there for the 6pm show but when it reached past 6pm and we still were hardly moving, we had to make the decision to go and get food for our son and use the toilet. I would like a full refund including the car park. I can imagine I am not the only one to be complaining as there were so many people in the queue and when we left, the queue went back for miles with people who had left after us. It’s not acceptable, our friends continued to wait (having no children) and were refused entry as the car park was full. Hearing this, I was glad we made the decision to leave as we would have wasted more time stuck in the car to have the same outcome (missing the fireworks). Regards,
Abingdon fireworks
Abingdon fireworks
Been there many times in summer and it was good but this time couldn't see fireworks with big smoke . Getting out of carpark was an absolute chaos. Really disappointed 😞
AVOID THIS EVENT AT ALL COSTS
The Parking infrastructure was a joke. 4 hours + to queue, and I did not even make it to the event. I had my hungry 3 year old son with me as we planned to get food on site. The roads were grid-locked and no hope for emergency services.
They are also declining refunds to a clear dangerous and IMO illegal event due to poor planning. Accoutability needs to be made with even organises.
Avoid this event
This event was shockingly badly organised. The entire experience was ruined by a complete failure of logistics.
It took us three and a half hours to travel just 10 miles. The organisers made a big point of having 'fixed' the traffic management for this year, which is a complete joke and, frankly, mis-selling the event. It was chaos.
To make matters worse, there was a near-total absence of staff. There was no one directing traffic, parking, or pedestrians. The only staff we could see were gathered in one place chatting, completely ignoring the gridlock.
The fireworks themselves were irrelevant. The horrendous, stressful journey and lack of any management on-site made the entire evening a write-off. We will not be returning.
