The keyboard I wanted (PSR SX600) was supplied at a good discount direct from Yamaha's London store and I was kept helpfully informed on its dispatch and delivery progress by customer service manager Carl Smith. This was a 'B stock' item (maybe a customer return or because it's been superseded by the very recently launched SX620 model) but was shipped in original packaging and brand new condition. It's perfect for my needs in a semi pro level recording capacity.

This shop has for many years been the go-to for both my daughters across piano, guitar and drums - after our latest experience we will not be returning and can't recommend it for those who expect respectful behaviour from staff on the grand piano floor.

My daughter wants to upgrade from a digital piano to an upright or grand and we were visiting during the half term holidays. When we got there we waited for another girl who was playing on another grand to finish for about 10-15 minutes before getting an opportunity to try playing. On playing for about 2 minutes she was approached by the floor manager who told her to stop so others could play. My wife and I were sitting close by watching and we could see the floor manager had a pretty stern look on her face. This put my daughter off, and she wanted to leave. I approached the floor manager to ask the reason for this kind of communication and she told me it was policy for visitors to only play for 5 minutes. Clearly this is not a policy uniformly applied and the nature of communication had put off a potential customer. As I told the floor manager this, she started telling me to leave the floor while gesturing aggressively to the stairs!

I went downstairs to speak to the shop manager. On finding he was not in, another not-to-be-named senior colleague spoke with me about the issue. While talking with him, the piano floor manager came downstairs, approached me, started arguing with me again and told me to leave the shop again while pointing at the exit again! As this was clearly our of her remit I refused at which point she leant against the counter and said ' then what are you going to do about it?' - more street urchin and less piano sales lady.

This is the worst customer service is have ever experienced in any shop, much less Yamaha's only flagship store outside Japan. A lot of money has gone into the store, especially the top floor and it's a shame for it to be spoiled by such poor individual attitudes. I would urge serious pianists to find specialist piano shops of which there are several around London.

The keyboard was of good quality as expected from YAMAHA.
But the stool TGI that was supplied with the stand was a cheap and unstable to sit as it is too small and wobbling.
I am 69 years old and I feel I will fall off this small contraption.
I have a Yamaha Piano at home with a sturdy piano stool that has lasted 25 years. Also I have a Yamaha Keyboard which I bought in Srilanka over 25 yrs ago and that was sold with a sready stool and both are still going strong in my Srilanka home.
Shame on you Yamaha UK to sell stools like these with your excellent keyboards.

Wir sind Schweizer und waren auf einer Reise durch Schottland und England. Als letztes Ziel auf unserer Reise war London und ich freute mich extrem das einzige Geschäft von Yamaha zu besuchen. Selber spiele ich Violine und wollte mir schon lange von der E-Violine Silent SV-150 auf die EV 104 umsteigen. Ich wurde von Abigail extrem freundlich, unkompliziert und kompetent beraten, durfte alles auch ausprobieren und so kaufte ich mir die Violine EV 105, mit dem kleinsten Amp von Yamaha, dem THR5A. Ich bin extrem happy, der Ton ist der Hammer und das ganze ein schönes Andenken an London. Das Geschäft selber, lohnt sich es anzuschauen, ist wunderschön und die Instrumente sind schön ausgestellt. Leider ist es für mich etwas abgelegen, schade.

Have recieved delivery, have not opened yet as it is a gift for my son on his 13th Bday.

Ordered our electric piano from the website and we were told they would be in touch with a delivery slot within 10 days. Within a week we had the slot and they delivered it within the 10 days.
We paid £50 for assembly, and they got it all done in about 15 minutes. Great service, very friendly and polite and respectful of our property. They put carpets down for their trolley access etc.We are extremely pleased with our piano. Would recommend Yamaha London and would use them again if the need arose.

Having been searching for a new digital grand piano for some time, we contacted Yamaha London and were delighted with the service we received.
