The app showed a fare of ~1,500 TL, then suddenly dropped to ~70 TL after the driver claimed the system was down, leading me to cancel and pay via the taxi meter instead. I ended up paying 4,800 TL in total. The app's failure and misleading fare change left me vulnerable to being overcharged, and despite contacting support multiple times, they stopped responding. Extremely disappointing experience and customer service.

Yandex Go Punishes Drivers Without a Hearing: Guilty Until Proven Innocent

I am a Yandex Go driver. Yandex Go takes its commission on every ride I complete and profits from my work. But when it comes to protecting its drivers, it is nowhere to be found.
On 30 September 2026, at around 3:30 a.m. in Konyaaltı, Antalya, a passenger asked to smoke in my vehicle. Both the law and Yandex Go's own rules prohibit this, so I refused. What happened next? The passenger retaliated with a 1-star rating and flagged me for "dangerous driving." My rating dropped from 4.97 to 4.91. A rating I built through years of hard work was wiped out by a single false claim.
At 3:30 in the morning, alone with a passenger, I still chose to follow the rules. And this is how I was repaid.
So I ask Yandex Go:
Why do you accept a "dangerous driving" report without any verification?
Every bit of speed, hard braking and rapid acceleration data from that trip is already recorded in your system. Why do you brand a driver without even looking at it?
Why don't you ask the driver even once: "What happened? Why was this rating given?"
This is not a rating. It is a verdict without a trial. No right to defend yourself, no review of the evidence, no one to appeal to. Just one tap from a passenger, and the driver is declared guilty.
Worse still, a system that punishes drivers for following the rules sends a clear message: "Don't enforce the rules, don't upset the passenger." By penalizing drivers who uphold its own policies, Yandex Go is putting passenger safety at risk too.
My demands are clear:
Review the telemetry data for this trip.
If no violation is found, remove the 1-star rating and the "dangerous driving" flag completely.
Notify me of the outcome in writing.
Stop letting "dangerous driving" reports affect ratings until they are verified against telemetry data.

During a recent Yandex Go ride in Tbilisi, I experienced a serious safety issue that resulted in a personal injury.

While exiting the vehicle, the car door suddenly closed on my finger due to a lack of proper resistance or soft-close mechanism. As a result, I suffered a thumb fracture and complete nail detachment, which required medical attention and caused significant pain.

I reported the incident and have been in contact with support. While I was informed that the case is under review, there has been a noticeable delay in receiving a clear response or resolution.

I am sharing this experience to highlight the importance of vehicle safety and proper maintenance, especially when it comes to basic passenger interactions such as entering and exiting the car.

This is my personal experience, and I hope it will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

Charged €21 for a cancelled ride in Serbia (should have been about €3 cancellation fee). Support promised a refund multiple times over a month (Feb 24, Mar 2, Mar 17), but no money ever arrived and they refuse to provide any refund proof or transaction ID.

Only copy-paste replies and zero real resolution. If a billing error happens, be prepared to spend weeks chasing your own money.

The worst costumers support ever I got charged 40% more of estimated price!! Support couldn’t care less

Well, the hotel called for a Yandex Go taxi in Yerevan, to pick me up to the Airport, from centrum it was about 15km, maximum.
The driver charged me with 6350AMD, he didn't want to accept card, so I gave to him one bill of 20.000 AMD.
He started to tell me something in armenian, I thought that he is asking me if I want the receipt, but meantime he concealed that bill of 20.000 AMD and sharply changed with one of 1000 AMD, telling me that's not enough.
I had around 6.000AMD left, but he didn't wanted, so asked me 20 Euros.
Such unprofessional taxi driver, soo shameful experience.. I really enjoy Armenia, wanted to come back in October, but he made me to avoid this country...
Shame on you, YANDEX!!!

Four days ago, the price for a ride from Hurma to Özel Antalya Koleji was 400 TL. Due to a special event, we requested the same ride again, and the system showed the fare as 500 TL.

I spoke to the driver and sent my young son with him, as he was travelling alone. However, the driver charged 700 TL, which is a large difference. It seems that he took advantage of the situation, knowing that the passenger was a child, and overcharged him.

The ride took place at 7:00 AM on 10 November 2025, and the driver’s name was Hamza, with license plate 07 T 3101.

This is very bad and dishonest service

On a ride that normally costs me 380/450 lira, a driver charged put a 900 lt fee on the app, and it was automatically discounted off my debit card! When we ask for help on the app they just answer saying they will check the case and never get back to us. I try to ask for an update and nobody answers! Worse experience ever!

I used Yandex Go for taxi services in Kazakhstan and, even if it was reasonably ok in Almaty, it was a disaster in Astana… Totally unreliable, prices can suddenly become very expensive. And I almost missed my flight… because it showed taxis as arriving and being close and there was nothing! Useless. Will never use them again

Funny how westerners rate russian yandex from there ! Here its all smooth and people are happy. I particularly appreciate new design on the cars with less ads. Go !

Even if you delete the CC details so that you are not charged for anything from anywhere anyway they save your data and they are continuing to try to make charges, so be careful what CC u put there.

Be careful! In fact, the amount charged from the card for the trip is more than the total amount mentioned in the app for the trip. The company charges the first amount at the beginning of the trip and the second amount at the end of the trip. As a result, they mislead the passenger, the amounts in the app and the amount actually charged are completely different!!

I booked a taxi in Serbia, app gave an estimate of RSD 2980. I arrived and they debited RSD 4823 from my card. I reached out to support several times they kept copying and pasting the same nonsense to me. No help at all.

Ordered a taxi through yandexGo app from teracity antalya to askalara. App said 225tl , when driver arrived he said he's got meter in the taxi. At that point it was raining and got in and thought it would be same price as App but when we got to Askalara the price went to 445tl. So becareful with this App and with all taxi drivers in Antalya, they want more fare than actual. So its better to use buses with frequent service.

They started operating in Serbia, I assume due to sanctions and many Russian immigrants there. I don’t understand why they’re allowed to do business there, but let’s avoid politics. I went to visit my girlfriend in Serbia last week, and we went out for a drink. Since the night bus runs about every hour, we decided to call a taxi. We used Yandex, and my girlfriend, who’s from Belgrade, gave them the exact pickup location. They told us we would receive an SMS with details about the taxi and the expected arrival time. Five minutes later, we received a message saying the taxi would be at our location in 7 minutes. We waited for 10 minutes, and I called the number provided in the SMS. The driver said he had been waiting for us for 10 minutes at the specified location. I asked him exactly where he was, and he told me he was at the bus stop. There are six bus stops within a 100-meter radius, so I asked which one he was at. He nervously told me to cancel the ride. Given that it was -4°C outside and we had already waited long enough, I told him we weren’t canceling and asked him to tell me which bus stop he was at. He insisted I cancel the ride again. I explained that I’m not from Belgrade or Serbia and simply asked him to name the bus stop, as we were standing at one and couldn’t see him. He yelled at me to cancel the ride again before hanging up. Ten seconds later, I saw a car pull up next to us—a white Ford taxi, as described in the SMS. The driver laughed at us from inside the car and then drove off. I still don’t understand why he did that, and I have no idea what kind of company this is or who their drivers are. It just felt like a really unprofessional and frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t bother with them again.

So my friend ordered yandex from Zvartnots airport and the app said 2300 but the driver charged him 10 thousand drams and when he left the taxi for 2 min to get money out of ATM the driver stole 500$ from the bag . I contacted yandex and they didn’t do anything instead gave me the drivers number and advised to contact him , Like why would I contact a criminal ?! Worst app ever , worst customer service , they don’t do background check on their drivers at all , they hire thieves and criminals.
