118 Ink Avis 72

My order never arrived 30 days after ordering, and multiple emails were not replied to. CLEARLY 118ink and edible ink is not a reputable business, as they do not answer emails or phone calls, and I’ve not received the ink ordered. Others also report this for years.

Ran out of ink for my printer and was shocked to see the prices of replacement ink online. Had a quick search on YouTube to see how easy/if it was possible to fill cartridges myself as I thought there would probably be some internal chip on the cartridges preventing you filling them up so you had to go out and buy new cartridges.

I came across 118Inks video on YouTube showing how easy it was to fill and went to their website.

Price was super cheap, around £20 for black ink plus their priming tool. I ordered and it took around a week to arrive. Was a little sceptical as I didn't receive any email confirmation, estimated delivery date and no tracking.

I only ordered black ink but my kit included the priming section for black and colour so if I ever need colour ink I know I'll only need to order the colour bottles without needing another priming tool.

Process of filling up was pretty straight forward. Again, I watched the YouTube video and it's easy enough to do. Can be a little messy for obvious reasons. Priming involves using their rubber mould which creates a seal around the bottom of the cartridges. Through a hole in the rubber you put in an empty syringe (included in kit) and draw ink through the cartridge and into the syringe. This took a little while to get used to as I am not sure if the priming rubber mould was creating a good seal so had to push the cartridge tight into the mould and keep drawing the syringe back several times before ink started to come out. This leaves a little mess so make sure you have some paper towels handy.

I would highly recommend and will continue buying ink instead of new cartridges from now on.

I ordered cleaner kit and inks. I received cleaner kit, but already month not delivered inks. They do not answer to emails. In my experience worst web shop.
People, before placing orders read reviews and do not make such mistake. Sad.

I purchased this ink refill kit well over 4 years ago,and its still as good as new,apart from buying a good quality ink now and then it all works perfectly,and their tutorials how to use it on so many different cartridges are well worth watching on you tube,

I was originally a bit concerned as I hadn't received the package, but it eventually came.
I watched the videos and did it myself. It didn't work the first time, but I did it again and then it worked. 10/10 would recommend. You can save a lot of money using this refiller.

Appalling company to deal with

Possibly the worst company that I've had the misfortune to deal with on-line. I placed an order, nothing arrived after ten days, I then contacted 118ink by email and again through their website, no response. I then rang the company and was told that my order had been dispatched but I never received anything. How is this company still trading! My advise is to look elsewhere for ink supplies.

Very disappointing customer service! Unhelpful and rude staff! I ordered printer head cleaning kit and I have never received it. They claimed that it has been delivered by Royal mail and refused to submit the claim from their side to launch the investigation of the lost item.

I wish I could leave a positive feedback like most others. I ordered a kit 12 days ago to be shipped to Germany. I didn’t receive a tracking number so I asked them to provide me with it multiple times without an answer. When I finally got an answer it was to tell me: The shipment is currently on its way. I answered back saying I need the tracking number to be able to set delivery options as I’m not at home most of the time. But I didn’t get a response.

I have been using an Epson WorkForce WF-3620 MFP over the last few years and was very happy with it. Unfortunately the print quality started to deteriorate with certain colour not. Since it was quite old, I started to look for a replacement printer when I came across the 118 Ink product. I followed the instructions in the easy to follow YouTube video and only needed to syringe the print heads once and the printer worked fine after a couple of test prints and print nozzle clean. I am very impressed with the product and think this is a great solution for both your wallet and the environment by continuing to use the same product for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend this product.

I bought the Epson refresh cleaner and followed instructions to clean my Cyan head as it had a few gaps. After use the printing on all colours was worse and terrible quality. I contacted 118inks and asked to send back (dont they have that policy?)- I got very poor response from 'Seamus' and he did not reply to 'I want to send back'

Be aware of this company! I wonder how they are still on the market!?! They never deliver and steal customers' money!

I place a order on March 14,2021 for HP 62 printer cartridge kit plus ink you received payment of 37.79 plus foreign fee of .37 cent on March 15,2021. But I never received my order why? I will call my bank about this problem. I try to contact you twice all I get I’m not a robot over and over again your infro @118ink.com doesn’t work. Please refund my money because I need received my order or response from you. Rate is zero.

I very rarely leave reviews but was super impressed by the service from this company I felt I had to! I normally only ever buy genuine HP ink cartridge replacements but after randomly coming across one of their YouTube tutorials about refilling cartridges which was so detailed and easy to follow I thought why not give it a try so placed an order for one of their kits early afternoon yesterday and completely unexpected my order arrived in the post this morning! I’ve just followed the videos on both dealing with a dry ink cartridge and how to refill and it was literally so easy and I now have a working printer again. I can’t believe I’ve not tried this sooner and after spending so much on cartridges previously I’m now converted and will certainly use this company again!

I'd never refilled ink cartridges myself before because it looked too difficult to get it right, but rumbling anger about the extortionate cost of new ones finally made me try. Now I'm completely sold on DIY refilling. I had no idea it would work so well or be so easy. The 118 Ink kit is really simple to use and very well designed for the cack-handed like me. The how-to video online explains it all step by step. And you get a *lot* of ink. I was able to resurrect an ink cartridge that had been lying around empty for nearly a year and print perfectly first time on an HP Deskjet. Another how-to video by 118 Ink explains how to deal with dried-out cartridges like mine, and if you follow the instructions, it will definitely work. It's going to save me a fortune and I know I'm never going to run out of ink now. A small thing in the general scheme of life, but I can't tell you how thrilled I was that it worked. Good friendly service, too. And no pile of cartridges to send for recycling. Made my day.

Order was missing parts, reached out to company for resolution. Happy to report they responded quickly and are replacing all of the order. Always impressed when a company owns its mistake and takes action to resolve.

1 bottle, 1 syringe & tube + 1 pair gloves... oh yeah and two strips of blotting paper which are the most important bit (you use 2 per clean so if the printer needs a 2nd clean theres no paper left). I will have to spend a futher £5.50 on more blotting paper at WH Smith.
Fingers crossed a 2nd clean will work because the error message has changed to be fair.

The ink was great and it was of very high quality.
I dealt with a friendly chap called Seamus who went out of his way to help me and the customer service was also great.

I ordered a kit for refilling HP 62 cartridges which included the tool for priming the cartridges using the syringe provided.

The tool was not compatible with the colour cartridge, and the black cartridge failed to prime.

I was informed that the cartridges must be 'blocked'

The procedure for unblocking was linked to me. I followed the direction; still no result.

I am told that no refund is available because 'the ink is not faulty'

All in all a totally shocking response. Beware!, the videos give you an impression of cheaper running costs for your printer, but it cost me £20 less a penny to find out differently.

Not having used a refill kit since the late 90's I was sceptical. When this kit for the HP 901 cartridges arrived I was impressed by the overall quality. Having watched the very concise instructional videos suggested in the included reading material I set about clearing and refilling my carts. What a breeze. The premium plus adapter makes it so easy. No mess, no fuss. When I refitted the carts and went through the alignment procedure and tried some photo quality printing. The results were flawless, the supplied inks are superb.
If you are considering purchasing one of 118's kits for your printer do so, you won't go wrong.

Bought the extra large black refill kit which now comes with the premium plus tool. It was a leap of faith to go XL before trying and it was absolutely the right decision.Easy to use and prints perfectly. So having been unable to source HP304 black for weeks, thank you James and Katie for an excellent product at a price which makes home printing cost effective.
