Echo what the other poor ratings have…
Echo what the other poor ratings have said, they will use their terms and conditions as it suits to avoid paying out. They are not regulated by nor do they abide by the guidelines of the Motor Ombudsman, that should tell you what you need to know.
If you have the choice, avoid like the plague.
If 20 20 do read this, please don't waste your time replying you stand by your terms and conditions, they are not worth the paper they are written on, that's the point.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with your experience.
We appreciate your frustration, however we'd like to clarify the circumstances surrounding your claim. Your policy provided 6 months of cover, and the fault was initially reported to us in May. Following diagnosis, the fault code was cleared, and no repair estimate was submitted to us while the policy remained active.
We understand the fault has since returned, but as we have not received an estimate and the policy has now expired, we are unable to authorise repairs in line with the Terms & Conditions of the policy.
That said, if you ask your repairing garage to send us the repair estimate, we'd be happy to review the circumstances and see if there's any way we can assist.
We always aim to assess every claim fairly and in accordance with the terms of the cover purchased, and we're sorry that on this occasion we've not met your expectations.

20-20warranty for peace of mind
I’ve been with 2020warranty for just over a year now and decided to wait it out before leaving an honest review.
From the initial setup of the policy until the renewal invitation, I have to say everything has been on point.
From the get go, Mark (who is an absolute Gentleman by the way) explained what the service entailed and walked me through the entire process. Everything was made crystal clear and any questions that I had were quickly and openly answered with no hassle at all.
I also think that the pricing is great value for the level of coverage when compared to other warranty companies that I’ve used in the past, even the renewal was keenly priced when most try to gouge.
Couple all this with the outstanding customer service I’ve received over the past year, I’ve renewed my policy, taken out a 2nd on the work van and will have no problem recommending to friends and family.

2020 warranty always gives me such peace of mind when it’s comes to looking after my car! As someone who doesn’t know a lot about vehicles it’s so niche being able to leave it to professionals who know what they are doing!!

AVOID - Actively schemed to avoid payment.
AVOID - totally untrustworthy company that will refuse to pay-out on valid claims based on terms and conditions that can be manipulated as they see fit.
Unfortunately this review may come too late for many of you that have this disgraceful company thrust upon them when purchasing a second hand vehicle; but hopefully I can help those looking to purchase a warranty directly from them.
2020 will move the goalposts to make sure that they do not have to pay your claim. They lyingly claimed that a leak caused my clutch damage, and when the garage confirmed that this wasn't the case, 2020 made up a new excuse to state that they wouldn't pay. They even stated that the age and mileage of the car was part of the problem (2018, 88k) which is hilarious considering that the warranty was given to the car when purchased in the first place.
To put it bluntly, if you have a warranty with this company you do not have a warranty. Watch as they twist and turn and scheme to withhold payment.
Please do not believe just me. Look at the other 1 star reviews. There is a worrying trend where many have experienced exactly the same issue. I was pleased to see that a car garage has also spoken out against this terrible company and I have written to my garage to encourage them to also sever all ties with them.
I have also read the replies from 2020 which basically state that all claims were assessed against their terms and conditions and therefore they haven't done anything wrong.
Don't bother saying it again, because your T&Cs are written to suit you, and you have proven that you can use them to suit your own pocket. You care nothing for the customer or their car repair costs.
I hope that this review helps those that are considering buying a service from 2020. Just don't.

We are sorry to read that you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of your claim.
We respectfully disagree with the comments made in your review. Our claims are assessed on the technical evidence provided by the repairing garage and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the warranty, which are supplied with every policy.
In your case, the technician's report stated that the cause of the breakdown was "brake fluid leaking through the hydraulic pipe mounting on the rear of the slave cylinder." The warranty specifically excludes hoses and pipes from cover, and our decision was based on this diagnosis and the policy wording. We did not alter the reason for declining the claim; we reviewed all of the information provided throughout the assessment before reaching our final decision.
Whilst vehicle age and mileage can provide useful context when assessing a claim, they were not the reason your claim was declined.
We appreciate that you do not agree with our decision. However, we do not accept the suggestion that claims are declined unfairly or that the terms and conditions are manipulated. We are committed to assessing every claim consistently, fairly and on the evidence available.
However, since receiving your feedback, our claims manager has tried several times to contact you via phone and message to resolve this situation, and no response. Please can you call our team on 0333 242 7644 as soon as possible, and we would like to resolve this situation for you.

AVOID!!!!
As a vehicle dealer, I have had serious issues with this warranty company and would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.
The product was sold to me on the basis that it “covered everything”, which has proven to be completely inaccurate. Claims handling has been inconsistent and extremely frustrating throughout.
There were also occasions where customers were contacted directly and given misleading information. In one case, a claim was initially rejected, then later accepted after challenge, only for a subsequent claim to be refused again without proper consistency or explanation.
The overall experience has damaged customer confidence and created unnecessary problems for my business. Due to the seriousness of the issues involved, I have now raised a formal case with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and supplied supporting evidence.
I would strongly recommend that dealers fully review the terms, exclusions, and claims process before working with this company.
Maybe you should invest better in training your sales executives. I am still pursing with the FCA with the evidence and messages I have proving other wise.

We dispute the comments made in this review.
At no point was the warranty sold as “covering everything”. All cover is strictly subject to the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and covered component schedule provided at the point of sale.
The claim in question relates to a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), which is specifically excluded under Page 2 of the policy documentation. The repair therefore falls outside the scope of cover.
A previous claim under the same policy was approved in February where the failure related to a covered component. All claims are assessed individually in line with policy terms.
We note the reviewer is an experienced motor trade operator and would reasonably be expected to understand standard warranty exclusions and limitations.
We reject any suggestion of misleading information and confirm all decisions were made in accordance with the agreed policy terms.
This constitutes our full and final response on the matter.
