I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering. There was no confirmation email and what arrived was a dead plant which had clearly been ringbarked. I won’t bother returning it as this is clearly a company which doesn’t provide a good service. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY,

Awful . Do not deal with this company. Delivered dead plants and I had to pay return courier. Then then did everything to avoid refunding me. Only I had paid on PayPal and they fought for my refund. Took 6 months. This bad company had no intention of refunding me. They also operate as Beechwood Nurseries. AVOID AVOID AVOID !

Zero customer service unless you’re ordering something.
Ordered 2 Damson trees in October 2024 which turned out to be Victoria plum trees, they have no email contact or phone number.
All they have is a contact form which, as in my case, they have totally ignored all three of them.
I couldn’t recommend this company any less and would have given zero out of 5 if it had been an option.
Very, very disappointed after many years of business.
Been dealing with this company for ten or more years. Have noticed plant quality declining over the past two or three but ordered two apple trees and two pear trees this spring in the hope that they would be of the past and not more recent standard. The two pear trees looked dead on arrival but i planted them anyway more in hope than expectation. Once it became obvious that they were indeed dead I messaged to make them aware of the situation. I was told they were certainly alive and healthy when I received them but must still be dormant. I said I was pretty sure they were dead but I'd wait and see until the new planting season anyway. The trees have never shown any sign of life whatsoever and I have emailed a further four times with no reply, despite the emails being polite and accommodating. Given the total disregard for my attempts to settle the problem as reasonably and amiably as possible I felt there was no other option but to take them to small claims court. However seeing how they've been treating other people I guess they'd just ignore that and any award made against them as well as they plainly have no concerns about so-called "customer service". I guess my only option now will be to visit them in person and they certainly will not ignore me then! To put it in perspective I have planted somewhere between 7 and 8 thousand trees of my own over the past dozen or so years, so I'd like to think I know by now how to give a tree the best chance of life, but these were either dead or irreversibly dying when they were boxed up and sent out. Needless to say, I will not be dealing with them again in any way shape or form.
No reply at all after 10 trees failed to grow
I bought 10 Italian Alder trees from this nursery in February this year and they arrived fine. I planted them in a paddock along with around 100 other trees and shrubs I bought from other suppliers. Not one of these Italian Alder trees grew despite an almost 100% success rate for the other things I planted.
I contacted customer services at the end of April to tell them there was no sign of growth and they replied saying it can take until the end of May to show growth. I duly waited but by 3 July there was still no growth at all so I contacted them again on the same email from which I had the original reply. I had no reply from them.
I sent a further three emails to that email address and other email addresses I found online and none of my emails which answered.
I feel incredibly let down by this nursery, will not be buying from them again and will advise others to do the same.

Do not buy from this shower. They don't except responsibility and insult genuine customers when things go wrong. Can't get to speak directly with anyone. No customer service whatsoever. Wait a long time for refund if return item.

Their website describes their mirabelle plum as being stoneless... it isnt... it has a very hard stone.
The bramley seedling they sent me was not a bramley.

Fast delivery and plants in good condition.
I have ordered from this company for a few plants in the past and never had any complaints.
I ordered 50 laurel via B&Q and was surprised how well they were packed and each plant in a small pot which was well soaked.
I needed 50 more laurel and decided to use Beachwood nurseries and the packaging and condition was the same, however I saved about £20 buying direct.
Very pleased with the condition of the plants and the very fast delivery.
I will use this company again.

Don't bother with their "ready to fruit" range as thats a total lie.
If you want some silver birch saplings then great, order them as thats about the only thing they're good for selling.
Do not bother with anything else, at best, itll survive and fruit God only knows when, but most likely you're going to pay a large price for a dead stick. Customer service is non existent.

Entered delivery details on website. Royal mail returned to sender as my door number was not included.
To be fair they did communicate in a timely manner, but I asked for it to be re sent and they, replied saying they would refund me minus the postage.
I went through PayPal who refunded immediately, which shows they are having a lot of issues.
Just go to Amazon or anywhere else.
Avoid!
Bought 100x Hornbeam bareroot a few months ago. Seemed like great value at the time. I needed 300 so thankfully in retrospect 3fatpigs only had 100, which I bought.
They arrived wrapped in cling film struggling to breathe. Very poor root structure. No leaves. Very unhealthy looking.
I lived in hope.
Planted trees and have cared well for them for a number of months. Unfortunately they still resemble a series of sticks poking out of the ground. Very unhealthy and most are dead … no green shoots. I’d say a maximum of 10 of these trees have survived.
I won’t be making any more purchases from this garden centre. I will have to go elsewhere to replace the twigs sticking out of my lawn.
I wish I had of come to this website first as it seems my experience isn’t unique.
The dead plum tree
Bought a bare rooted dwarf plum tree last autumn. Planted as per instructions, no sign of growth has ever been seen. Contacted 3fatpigs in April, told to wait until end of May. Sceptical, as other fruit trees in the allotment were well in flower by then. Sure enough, the tree is dead and when we went back to them we were told, as others, that trees are perishable items. Customer service terrible and then they just stop answering emails.
Update: they sent a link about someone who was sued by a law firm after a poor Trustpilot review!
Here's a FOC business tip: threatening your customers after poor reviews is just the pits and is not going to shift you from a 1.6* rating.....

We ordered the above barefooted in February and planted as per the guidance. The tree showed no signs of growth and a scrape test in May/June indicated it was dead. Beechwood were contacted and asked for a replacement or a refund both of which were refused. They said and I quote:-
'Trees are perishable items, and we are not able to replace or refund the tree'.
