Good fun, but mis-sold the damage waiver
Good fun driving the Aerial Atom and the instructor was great. Very well organised day. My only gripe, is the mis-selling of the damage waiver. The person checking me in asked if I would like the waiver and I said no. He asked my if I had £5000 in my bank account and would I be ok paying it. I said I did not want it and he replied 'What if someone crashed into you?', to which I said 'then that would be covered by them. He said it wouldn't be and I would have to pay it if they crashed into me! I got fed up with this guy and paid it, but looking back, this guy has mis-sold this insurance to me. Shame because it was a good day otherwise.

A great experience-loved it!!
It was absolutely great. The driver asked me about speeds, etc to see I was ok (I am 75!). My son had a hot lap too. Brilliant day. Thank you-driver's surname Hughes.

Had a truly brilliant day today with all the great people at 6th Gear at Elvington Airfield.
Right from our initial contact with Sophie who provided ALL details of the day and supplied full details of cover options for damage waiver and illness cover etc, we were totally informed up front. Right through to sign in and some truly brilliant drivers who have the knowledge and skills to help you get the most from these brilliant cars. HUGE thanks to Mark in the 458 Ferrari I will definitely not forget that run anytime soon. Onboard footage options and professional photos if you choose to take them. Catering van was totally adequate for drinks and food. We will absolutely be back for more and planning a day for my two sons as soon as we can. Thanks again to all for an amazing memorable day

I got to do this experience thanks to my daughter.i had a 3 car drive and loved it.the staff involved were excellent.co drivers friendly and knowledgable. The only down side was the on site food.poor sele tion and poorly done.Bit more attention and effort would be so worth it.

Junior driving experience is a joke
Took my 16yr daughter on a junior driving experience ( sold to me as a junior track driving experience) and was not impressed at all !! Simply put my girl was doing 15-30 mph at a push in a car park going round and round in circles. They even had a cheek to ask for damage waiver £35 and video footage £35 . They could not do any damage if they tried they are with a professional instructor who has pedals on his side of the car, for safety and the video wouldn't be worth it as they don't do any where near enough to justify it. I could understand them getting the kids used to the car then going on the track for a lap or 2 but not just round and round. Not worth the money I paid for it !! 2 stars at the most.id rather wait til she passes her test to do that again !!!

Sorry for not getting back to your review sooner. We're happy to address some of the comments you have made regarding your daughters experience with us at Three Sisters Circuit.
As a reputable company who have been operating for almost 17 years, we would never allow an un-experienced child to drive a 500bhp supercar on the same track as adults. Juniors do go at slower speeds than adults, as it we deem it highly irresponsible to let youngsters go at higher speeds in such powerful cars. This is why we offer our junior driving experiences in a separate safe area, we do clearly advertise on our website that junior drive on a coned-course. We do have some venues where we offer the chance to drive the full track (i.e. Stafford Driving Centre, Anglesey Circuit and Castle Combe Circuit), but as you requested the Three Sisters track, this is what was booked.
We do offer ALL customers the opportunity to cover the drivers whilst they're out on track. We have had juniors damage cars at this venue, hence why we offer this cover. As it would have been explained on the day, the cars are all dual-controlled, however the instructors secondary brake pedal will not override the sheer force of the car, had your daughter accelerated too harshly. A lot of customers like to capture their childs first drive, which is why we offer this chance. This was refunded to you as soon as you came back into the Registration Team and demanded your money back. The additional extras are all clearly outlined in your confirmation email before you get to the venue.
Overall, we do hope that your daughter enjoyed her time behind the wheel of the three supercars that she drove. If you were to do this experience again, we would recommend looking at one of our alternative venues, so she can have a different experience in the supercars. Otherwise, we do hope to welcome you back when she has passed her driving test.

Had a fantastic day at Castle Combe
Had a fantastic day at Castle Combe, driving the Porsche 977, Ferrari 458 italia and the Lamborghini Gallardo. Also had a high speed passenger lap in the radical, ended up paying for another 2 laps, Andy and that Radical are insane. Had a brilliant day. Looking forward to doing it again soon.

Disappointed customer
Just spent a day at the Anglesey circuit driving two supercars. The experience itself was very good; good selection of cars to choose to drive, instructors were friendly and helpful and did their best to help me to get full enjoyment from the day. However, like a previous reviewer, I purchased a memory stick for video footage of the day. This would have added to my enjoyment of the day, and worth the expense, if it had worked properly! However, on my return home the sound on the recording of one of my drives was missing, and my excitement at being able to share my experience with my family was spoiled! Upon my calling customer service the following day I spoke to Becky who explained the procedure for a complaint, which was to fill in an online form. I received a reply to this which offered me a £5 refund as compensation! This is an insult! My enjoyment of the day was somewhat spoiled by the video not working properly. Out of the two recordings, only one worked properly, and yet having paid £35 for the memory stick, I am only being offered a £5 reduction! If I had been able to view the memory stick at the event before purchasing it, I would not have paid for it as I am extremely disappointed with the result! Sixth Gear obviously do not offer customers this facility as it would no doubt reduce their money-making opportunities. I appreciate that I did not have to purchase the memory stick, but the opportunity to do so was presented to me before my driving took place and would have been a lovely memento of the day had it worked properly. I also purchased a number of other extras which I have no complaints about. The attitude of customer services, since speaking to Becky who was happy to explain to me the procedure for complaints, was unhelpful and uncaring, just reiterating that everything about the experience was explained in the terms and conditions. I would do the experience again, as the track day itself was enjoyable, but customer services, you need to polish up your act.

Excellent day out at the Anglesey circuit drove 4 cracking cars all instructers were great especially lee Johnson who was absolutely brilliant with my experience who I had a good chat with before I left and it was in the best car I drove of the day the Nissan GTR will defiantly book again soon

Great fun in an Aston Martin
My dad had a great few hours at the Anglesey Circuit driving an Aston Martin Vantage then a hot lap in a Focus RS. The event was very well organised. Would recommend.

Went to Elevenighton with my family to…
Went to Elevenighton with my family to celebrate our wedding anniversary, father's day and my husband 50th birthday. I bought 4 memory sticks after the event we went to the truck to view the photos and I was advised that 2 of the memory stick did not have a recording but the porche had a back up and it would be looked at. I had to email to ask and I had a response to say no footage was available and I was given a refund of £5 per stick YES a total of £10 for something that cost £70. I found this was an insult and I have no video footage of what should have a day to treasure. I would not use 6th Gear again or recommend to family or friends.

Hi Ann, thank you for taking the time to leave a review from your experience with us. We do send all customers details regarding issues with memory sticks when the experience is booked in. On the off chance that our team are unable to recover footage from the hard-drive of the cars, we offer a £5.00 refund per missing video, if no footage is recovered at all a full refund can be processed once the stick has been returned. As you do have footage on the stick, we were unable to offer a full refund, hence why you were eligible for the partial £5.00 refund.
All of these details can be found on our website as well as in the About Your Day information sent to you when the booking was made.
We do hope that you enjoyed your time driving our supercars however.

Excellent experience. Fantastic cars. Friendly, professional instructors really made you feel at ease and encouraged you to drive at a pace to suit your potential. I drove 3 cars, Porsche, Ferrari and a Lamborghini, then a hot lap with one of your drivers. That guy could really drive.
A great day. I plan to revisit.

TOTAL RIPOFF
Very disappointed. I paid a lot of extra money for nothing. £30 for using the Anglesey circuit (not that special tbh), £30 for insurance (total rip-off, don't take it, there's no chance you will crash a car with the instructor inside) and £35 for video recording.
For the video they give you a USB stick that the instructor sticks in a port and it should record your experience. However, when I got home the stick was empty. After raising a ticket and multiple emails I still didn't get my video or my money back!
Not to mention that no-one told me about the photo truck where I could get my photos taken before the ride.
TOTAL RIPOFF !!
If I could I would give them negative rating. -5 stars !!

Thank you for taking the time to review,
We can see your voucher was a Virgin experiences voucher redeemable on one of our events but not a direct voucher, as such we don’t control the amount you paid for your single car drive or what is or is not included.
For example, your voucher was £99.99 via Virgin, but the same experience direct through us is £79.
Then you booked your experience in March 2023, you chose to select Anglesey which is a proper racing circuit and not an airfield venue. This does come with an extra charge as it’s a proper racing circuit, as you say you chose to pay the extra £30 and travel the 205 miles, 3 hours 45 minutes from your home in Coventry to the event, we visit other non-premium venues without the charge that are both less time and distance from your home, Elvington near York is 149 miles 2 hours 50 miles, and Three Sisters in Wigan is only 121 miles and 2 hours 32 minutes.
You chose to select Anglesey racing circuit and it has a charge to use this venue, as your Virgin voucher did not include this.
You also chose to take out the damage waiver when booking online, this is not insurance as you have called it but it is a damage waiver, our cars are insured but the excess is £5000, this weaver covers you for the first £5000 if you were to cause any damage to the car or indeed another car.
You say you are not going to “crash” with an instructor next to you, We very much hope you don’t but for the customer that accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the break as they lined up at the photographer / start point, or the customer that didn’t turn the wheel quite enough and caught the side of the car they were parking next to after the drive, they were both grateful the have the damage waiver in place. Both of which happened at your event. This cover isn’t compulsory, and you chose to select it yourself online when booking. It doesn’t just cover big incidents, but the small and very expensive mistakes. A wing mirror on a Lamborghini is £2000 for example without paint or an actual mirror glass. This waiver is optional.
Your USB was according to you blank, we have and are still trying to support you with this and of course if the footage is not retrievable you will get a full refund, the delay has been the lack of information supplied on the “ticket” - it asked for your details, the car you drove a picture of what you look like so we can identify you in the back up footage, none of this was supplied so we have tried to call and asked further questions to which you didn’t answer in your replies, we have tried our best without a way to identify you and when asked still no further info, it’s hard to find what you look like.
We are sorry you missed the 44ft articulated lorry with ‘purchase your photos’ written on the side, you did not need to visit before your ride but after would have been fine to view the pictures both in the pitlane and on track that we took. These are still available if you wish.
We have had an issue with your video in the Atom, this car is like a go cart so the equipment does get shaken around, it is tested before each event and until we receive your USB back we are unable to determine what the issue has been. We have been trying to sort this for you but the missing information from your “Ticket” has slowed us down considerably as has reporting no photos when you had not ordered, paid for, or viewed any of our photos.
This whole review is about the venue “Not that special TBH”, the damage waiver that was optional and you chose to purchase in advance, and the USB – this has reportedly got an issue and we recognise this has had a delay, still inside our 30 days terms but a delay to our planned 14 days process for any issues. We simply didn’t have the information from you to identify you and for this we are sorry.

Everyone was professional and helpful. Amazing instructors and of course the fabulous supercars. Would recommend this experience to all ages who love supercars
