Had a fantastic experience at Castle Combe with 6th Gear today 04/11/22. Well organised and the instructors were professional, friendly and made the experience. I even got drive of the day on my last drive in the Aston Martin Vantage with Chris as my instructor

This was a present from a friend and definintely one of the best I have had. From the ease of booking, to reception and the professional attitude by all at 6th Gear.
You know there are always going to be upgrades, but when you find out the value of those it is well worth it.
They offer a demo lap to familiarise you with the circuit - not all supercar companies do that - including Silverstone - and Don certainly demonstrates the best line.
They also offer a hot lap - Wisely after you have had your drive - to see how it cna be done. I was recommended to try doing that with Andy (National XR Champion) in the Radical - oh yeah, he knows his stuff!! I was grinning ear to ear after that.
As a recomendation, I am going back!!!

A long queue at Castle Combe today to check in and we were outside queuing in the rain for 15 minutes before we got under cover. After coughing up £30 each for collision waiver, we foolishly paid £10 each for a demo lap. We tootled round the track in the back of a Ford Focus driven by an elderly gentleman. We couldn’t hear a word that he was saying to the front seat passenger regarding the breaking points apex etc which were explained anyway when we drove the Lambo and Aston. Don’t waste your money on this.
It was all a bit chaotic and it took us a while to establish where we went for the demo lap. A man shouted out names to the hundred and fifty or more people waiting for the experience and felt amateurish but after a while we got to drive our first car. Both my instructors were friendly, helpful and made the experience enjoyable. However one of my sons instructors had an attitude problem and it felt like he didn’t want to be there.
The cars were great fun and at least we weren’t let down by that part of the experience. Now that we are back home we realise that we didn’t have a hot lap with a racing driver which was supposed to be part of the package. Overall summary: we thoroughly enjoyed driving the cars but was disappointed with the organisation. It felt like a money making machine without exceptional customer service. So that’s why we give it 3 stars.

I received a voucher for 2 supercars and a hotlap for my 30th birthday, bought through Red letter days. I had a brilliant time out at Castle Coombe, despite the torrential rain!
Registration was quick and simple, and I had taken out the insurance waiver when I booked online. I know the risks are low that you crash, but £25 vs £0000's in damages, I know which I'd rather! Someone mentioned there only being 2 or 3 cars on track... there were lots more than that when I drove!
I paid an extra £10 for the demo lap, having not been to the track before I wanted to get to see the layout first. The instructor was helpful, letting you know what to look out for.
I drove the Nissan GTR first, my instructor Adam was very friendly, helpful, and reassuring given that it was pouring with rain and there was alot of standing water on the track. This just made the drive alot more fun! I would have preferred the dry but you can't control the weather!
My second car was supposed to be the Audi R8 but unfortunately it had problems so I was upgraded to the Lamborghini, couldn't really argue with that! Again the instructor was very encouraging, I even managed a couple of tiny slides in the wet!
The hotlap was fun, I can see why they make you do it last! I'd probably have driven a bit harder had I seen how they drive the track!
I paid the extra for the incar video which was good. There are lots of optional extras to add on, they aren't necessarily cheap but they're just that... optional. I did also pay the £25 surcharge for a prime track too.
I would definitely recommend the track day, it was a great experience for me. The day was well run, staff were friendly, and each of my drive times were only 3 minutes later than they were allocated to be!

Best morning ever triple super car driving experience fast cars and my dream car GTR

My experience was bought as a 60th Birthday present and what a fabulous day I had.
Despite rain being on and off most of the time I got to drive the Aerial Atom(got thoroughly soaked lol) Ferrari and Lambo as well as a hot lap in a Focus RS.
All the instructors were friendly and professional and encouraged me to use the cars to the maximum of my potential.
If you are thinking of booking with 6th Gear based on my experience I would say go for it I had a day I will remember for a long time.

Triple Supercar VIP Thrill - Elvington airstrip. Bought for husband as an xmas gift - his delay in organising it once received, hence not driving until September. He drove the Ariel Atom, Audi R8 and was due to drive the Ferrari but the ground staff let him change to the Lamborghini whilst we were there due to a mix up on the original booking. He totally loved the R8 and wished he had had more time in it - maybe next time!. Also raved about the Atom. Really well organised event and the check in staff allowed you to ride out of time if others were not there or the cars became available. Instructors were really good at explaining every thing and putting you as ease. Also had a demo lap in the Ford Focus and the package came with all digital photos, a certificate and one photo printout. Overall a really good afternoon out. (Husband - Pete Mitchell)

Double super car taster - Elvington airstrip. I had a fantastic time today. I drove a GTR and a BMW i8. Really well organised event. Instructors were really good at explaining every thing and putting you as ease. Also had a hot lap in a Ford Focus. Overall a really good day out. (Husband - Allan Sissons)

I bought this Teen Track Treble Taster for my son (12) last year and he had a wonderful time today at Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, driving his 3 favourite super cars and doing a hot lap with a professional driver. His smile after he had driven the Ferrari was ear to ear! Staff were great, really helpful even tho it was busy and the cars were at roughly the times booked. When I watched the in car videos at home I could see that the instructors were great with him, lots of advice and tips but chatty and also let him have fun safely - I was worried he might only be allowed to drive quite slowly but they did allow a short burst of speed which was enough to let him properly experience the car. We will definitely be booking again and I have already recommended to friends and family.
There are a few additional costs if you want pictures and videos etc, we weren’t given a hard sell though and we are pleased we have them. I took plenty of great pictures myself too.
We were lucky with the weather, not wet or too hot, check the weather before you go as there is not a lot of shelter on an airfield! I took a camping chair which was a good move. There were toilets and refreshments available.

Perranporth circuit cornwall. Had as a 50th birthday gift.
Loved it . Drove a Lamborghini and an R8 around the circuit. Although quick it was awesome. Loved putting both cars flat out up the straights hearing that incredible engine work hard.
Had a fast lap from the ‘pro’ chap in the RS Focus which was just great to finish off the experience. I won’t do it but I might knock a star off my review simply because I didn’t have all day to play!
Great fun, well organised and a beautiful day to enjoy my ‘boys fun day’

Absolutely awesome! Had as a birthday present from my wife and kids. Everyone there was friendly and helpful from booking in, to being called to the cars, instructors and even the photograph people.
Cars were brilliant, instructors really helpful with tips but made it fun. Even though it was busy got in cars exactly when the time said I would. Brilliant day and booking again asap. Thank you all for a great day, Joel

Drove two Porsches, a Lambo and Ariel atom and loved every minute (although struggled with the gears in the atom!). Also had a hot lap by pro driver that was really good.

You get good deals on the day as well so my son had a hot lap in a gtr as well.

Received the voucher as a gift. Unable to make the one and only date they offered in my part of the country. As such, voucher expired. Called the following month to ask of there was any way I could extend the voucher given the lack of dates available. was simply told the voucher was expired so that money was lost and there's nothing they 'could' about it. There's plenty they could do, but there's nothing they WOULD do.. Very poor experience with this company, extremely disappointed with them. I do not recommend booking with them as a gift.

At castle Combe on 27/8/22. Have been on these driving experiences before and all been a bit naff with being told to keep revs down or not go in certain gears and was expecting a bit the same but I was wrong . On one of the jet test days of the year 7 of us turned up mid afternoon and hot in all 3 cars in reasonably quick time . My 9 year went round in the Ferrari with al b (written on the ticket) and he loved it . All three guys that took me out were great especially the third guy Connor in the 997 turbo . There’s a few up sales but you get that everywhere , you can always say no . I done a few extra laps with Conner and he was getting me to go quicker and quicker . Thoroughly enjoyed it 😎

Had a great day at castle combe yesterday driving 4 supercars. The instructors were all excellent giving constant feedback to help improve your driving lines, gear usage, breaking points etc. I will hopefully do another day in the future so I can drive some of the other cars. I would highly recommend this company and the castle combe circuit. Thanks for a great experience.

Had 6 car experience, first 5 were within about 1 hour, had to wait for last one two and a half hours. All staff were very efficient as a lot of people were waiting for the same car. Can't really fault this company. Brilliant drives.,especially Porsche 997 turbo convertible, needs extra stars!!!!! This was at Castle Combe yesterday.

Had a Teen Track Attack Double at Stafford bought for my son’s birthday. Arrived early as advised to and was called 20 mins early for his 1st experience 👍🏻 Both instructors were really good and considering he’d never been behind the wheel of a car they allowed him to drive at speed. On watching the videos back they gave him clear instructions and he even overtook cars on the track. We bought the memory stick and then upgraded to have all the photos put on which we found a great idea. We did pay for the passenger drive, a little steep in price for one lap but he enjoyed seeing what the BMW i8 could do after he had driven it.

Couldn't get the car we had voucher for, any date or location. All locations miles from my home and it turns out you only get 10 minutes worth. I had 2 vouchers but had to wait 4 hours between!
Very unhelpful, would not let me exchange for something more suitable after saying they could. Waste of money.

My booking experience through 6th gear was terrible. I ended up paying an additional £80 in administration fees and it felt like their only motive was to rinse you at each opportunity. Would not recommend!
