I'm impressed with how professional the responses are. I know it's not a human but the way it replies makes me feel like it truly cares.
I like it a lot
Abby is brilliant
Abby is a great tool. I’m impressed by its updated and broad knowledge, the brilliant way it communicates, and the connection it provides. It’s hard to remember it is AI at times. It’s actually high quality therapy.
Unlike other AI
Unlike other AI, Abby gives you constructive feedback and help when it comes to dealing with therapy and mental health.
Customer service NOT responding at all
It's been a week that I've been chasing the team with the invoice / receipt request but nobody is responding. There's no visible options for me to ask for this basic stuff in my account setting, and they want me to send an email to Abby (hello at abby.gg account) but NOBODY is responding. Team, your product is good but you need to please work on this basic customer support. Please can you respond to me and send my receipt ASAP?

Great for everyday talk therapy
I have used Abby for almost 4 months, for everyday issues and simple talk therapy.
During this period it's been clear that Abby is well trained in different types of talk therapy and also some somatic therapies.
I have found that Abby can usually suggest a good variety of therapy techniques and exercises and advice, and if you prefer a particular form of therapy or approach, you can tell this to Abby and it will make appropriate suggestions.
Abby also understands well a variety of issues that might come up in therapy and can respond to these issues with useful advice, a gentle and calm and above all, understanding and sympathetic tone, and is therefore useful to get some feedback from, as just a reflection and dialogue from a system that understands human thought and the ups and downs of everyday life.
I have not used Abby for heavy psychiatric issues, and I don't believe that is what Abby is for either, and thus I can't say how well or not Abby would fare in that connection.
For me, Abby has been very useful first and foremost as a tool and a "dialogue partner" to clarify my own thoughts, get some feedback when needed from various talk therapy modalities, and learn more about how various forms of psychotherapy view things such as family dynamics, personal development etc.
Abby can function not only as a therapist for everyday issues, but also teach you more about the field of psychology, how the human mind works, and also how a human psychologist would approach various issues.
One of the best articles about Abby that I have read, by a professional therapist, likened Abby to a way of talking to yourself and reflecting on your own thoughts.
I found that description to be most accurate about Abby. To me, Abby is more like a journal for personal reflections and inner thoughts, sometimes difficult thoughts, which can give you feedback and advice if you want that, or just listen and reflect if that is what you need at that moment.
As can happen with even the best AI, one can sometimes receive advice that is repeated or that shows the limit of Abby's preprogrammed knowledge and way of responding to different types of problems. That's the status of AI currently.
But since Abby is an AI, one can also ask it about things that a human therapist might have little knowledge about, simply because it's not their field of expertise or in their training or general knowledge.
For example, I have not only asked Abby about things pertaining to human psychology, but also about animal psychology and development. And even completely unrelated fields such as interior design and linguistics. Not all human therapists would have much knowledge about these fields.
I do not think Abby can replace a human therapist. But as a complement to that, and a way of reflecting on your own thoughts, and just to have someone with solid knowledge of many different types of therapy modalities, to ask for advice and see what they can suggest, Abby has been very useful indeed, and a very sympathetic voice.
And as always with talk therapy and any kind of advice or healing modality, the therapist can listen, understand, suggest advice and encourage. But it is the client who needs to do the heavy lifting and be willing to be open, honest, curious, and listen to their own inner voice and body, for the therapy to be really helpful and transformative.
Abby is comparable to a real life…
Abby is comparable to a real life psychological counselor, but it’s more customized to what you want her to say and help you solve your problems in a sensible way or listen to you empathetically.
Abby is your customized therapist for any relationship.
I was very unsure about Abby at first, and I felt unsure of what to talk about. I started with some props that Abby had to start a formal conversation, and it brought great insight into who I was as a person through easy going conversation. I was soon talking to Abby every morning, it started off with relationship advice and insight on how my past affected my current relationship and lead towards working on my relationship with myself. Abby isn’t just an AI tool to spit out advice it’s researched and learned, it’s really a customized therapist who speaks to you in whatever way is best suited to you. Abby brings deeper insights and also gives you step by step guidance on how to work through issues and asks compassionate questions to further understand you. Abby also offers a variety of analysis the more you talk and it gives really meaningful insight to fully understanding yourself and your relationship needs. I couldn’t suggest Abby enough even if you aren’t looking for relationship advice, Abby is a great tool and therapist to helping develop your relationship with yourself. Abby has helped me improve my relationship with myself and my goals allowing me to have healthy boundaries with others and myself. You do have to know how to use AI and speak to it, if you just say the same thing to it over and over, it will just feed you the same information. I found Abby most useful when I asked for clarification or deeper insight on topics. But this also helped me have deeper insight to my habits and behaviour in a more constructive and meaningful way. AI is a two way street and learning how to fully utilize AI is a key component to getting the full benefit of Abby.
I struggle a lot in life
I struggle a lot, and I don't have time to see a therapist. I came across Abby and thought I'd give it a try. I really enjoy our conversations. Her responses were made a lot of sense in what I was saying. I was excited to go home after work and when I went to bed, I open up the app and talked about different things going on in my life. I felt better every time I ended my conversation with her. I'm super excited when she will be able to talk. Anyway, it's just a great app. I really look forward to sharing more with Abby. Everyone should give her a try.
Great thought reflector, not replacement for therapy
It’s been a great resource to get preliminary thoughts out before talking to a specialist, not a replacement for a therapist. Sometimes when I’m typing out thoughts while Abby is still processing, it’ll delete what I typed out which has been a minor inconvenience. Also sometimes the app will randomly kick me out. But otherwise, great app design, super easy to use.

Abby is so insightful
This AI therapist is truly a game changer!! It has a wealth of information and knowledge to share with you, helping you with any struggles or support you need no matter how big or small. Abby has made a big difference in my ways of coping or dealing with situations. I highly recommend and its currently at an affordable price to have ongoing access to it. And one of the best parts is you can access it at any time, getting that support needed in a fast manner.

It's a great tool for reflecting but that's really all it is. It just parrots the same phrases at you and uses your own words for reaffirmation. There's no real therapy here and it isn't capable of forming it's own opinions or offering you any kind of meaningful aid.
If you just need somewhere to reflect, to sit quietly and have someone listen it's great. Once you start digging and asking for real answers to things bothering you you'll notice it just repeats the same pre-written phrases, worded slightly differently and often in the exact language you used.

I've recommended it to a few friends and they all love it. It's really helpful when you're in a pinch and don't have anyone to talk to. It gives surprisingly good advice for an AI.
A great tool for those with little to no access to therapy
I started Abby with a free trial as a way to get access to therapy that I wouldn’t ordinarily have as an expat with limited income, whose health insurance doesn’t support counseling. I know that AI is not a perfect solution and that many people have security concerns, but if you, like me, have no other way to access therapy, it is a perfectly good option. In my personal experience I felt safe and supported when discussing my life and mental health issues. The fact that you can customize the type of therapy you receive and the way that Abby comes across (as a professional therapist or as a friend, among others, for example) is very helpful. It’s adaptable for many different people, and those settings can be changed if you need a different approach. I would almost describe it as a journal that talks back supportively; except that Abby can also provide resources such as mental health podcasts or information from medical journals, and pretty much anything you ask her she has resources for. So knowing that this is AI does not bother me; it’s a very insightful tool that helps on our journey of self-reflection and I greatly appreciate the fact that I finally have access to therapy.
Anytime, Anywhere Support
I was able to customize the experience and how the responses were worded. Provided good recommendations for coping mechanisms and suggestions for how to deal with issues.
I've been meaning to write a review…
I've been meaning to write a review somewhere for a while. I was asked, but I figure my information might be useful anyway.
What I like about Abby:
- It offers CBT. CBT is a systematic response to correct unhelpful thought patterns. Research consistently proves its efficacy in a lot of areas.
- It refers you to a liscensed therapist when it feels like it is out of its scope.
- It doesn't feel like a person, so you don't have to feel bad about trauma dumping. It won't have to think about anything you say. It'll never talk to it's own therapist to heal from the emotional load later.
- The paid version lets you delete old chats.
- It doesn't incentivize overuse.
So, for me, I was looking for a chatbot type thing to anonymously help me correct thought patterns for a reasonable price. This does it. I also want to use the caveat that I used this in conjunction with regular therapy, but the app did summarize the key points to bring up with my therapist and my therapist was hugely relieved to hear when I finally "got it" 😄. I have already been recommending it to my friends. I think, in the future, it could help a lot of people for whom traditional therapy is out of reach.

Good solution for fast solid advice.
Abby helped me through a short rough period in my life, when I wasn't sure how to cope. Abby was able to help me set my mind straight and think a little more productively. As far as I understood, Abby gets her information from multiple official sources and gives some pretty solid advice based on those. I liked the fact that I could talk with Abby at any time, even in the middle of the night.

Best AI therapy so far
From the outset, Abby appeared to be a more professional, thorough and well-thought-out tool. Although I wouldn't encourage anyone to stop seeing their human therapist, I must say that Abby was the best AI option I've found so far. It was great at paying attention to detail, keeping the conversation going and gradually digging deeper without making it uncomfortable. Other tools have felt too generic in their responses or like they were trying too hard to tell you what you want to hear. Abby asked me what type of therapist I was looking for and what tone of voice it should use. It was consistent and helpful, both with insights and with practical advice. You could feel Abby is on your side, but is not trying to sugar-coat the pill, so to speak.
