Active windows ltd Avis 

I am writing this to warn others about the severe harassment I have faced from Active Windows Ltd. I only gave 1 star because the platform forces a rating to publish, but they deserve zero. A salesperson knocked on my door using a deceptive "government scheme" pitch. Despite me explicitly stating I did not have the budget, and that it would be well over a year before I could even think about doing something like this, the gentleman insisted on coming round the next day to give a quote. I reluctantly accepted but repeated clearly that I had no money to do anything.
This company then subjected me to targeted intimidation. Over the last two days, a salesperson loitered directly outside my house in his vehicle for hours at a time and left hostile messages on my phone. After hearing the tone of his messages, I blocked his mobile and the company number, as I refuse to be spoken to like that over a quote I didn't want. I was then called again from a completely different mobile number by a person claiming to be from the company.
Today, the same hostile man rang my doorbell again and was caught looking up the side of my property before going back to sit in his car directly outside my house. When a friend politely asked him to leave, he became aggressive, saying, “You had an appointment yesterday.” When it was pointed out that she was a friend and that I had to rush out due to a family emergency, the man then said, “She was rude as she didn’t answer my phonecall,” and refused to move, sitting outside for another 40 minutes. In total, he has spent roughly 3 hours staking out my home to pressure me into a quote I already stated multiple times I could not afford.
When the company was contacted, management actively defended his behavior. They said, "well, she did have an appointment" and claimed "he had other appointments, so that's why his car was outside your house." When it was pointed out to the manager that I have CCTV footage of him sitting outside in his car the entire time without visiting any other houses, the manager changed their story, claiming he had another appointment "a 10-minute drive away." They used these changing stories as an excuse for why he sat outside my house for two days instead of addressing my safety concerns. This has gone far beyond a "hard sell" into unlawful intimidation. Avoid this company.

I arranged to have French window/doors fitted and Dave (fitter) turned up promptly and was very professional. He worked safely and made hardly any mess which he cleared up completely when he was finished. He was very pleasant and extremely patient even though i insisted on chatting to him most of the time he worked. I was extremely pleased with the installation and quality of the work

Had our kitchen window replaced last week, initial assessment a couple of months or so back to work out what needs doing, dimensions, what we wanted, etc.

The two guys that came to fit it, AJ and Rich were excellent, well prepared, clearly experienced, got it done in no time, they even had to go get something extra to help fix the new frame into the cavity better.

New window looks like it's always been there, clean sealant seams, everything. The build quality and materials of these windows should last us a long time as well, no blown seals in a few years with any luck!

Love my new windows! Communication is a little area to improve on but overall I am pleased with my experience. The fitter was amazing. He had to contend single handed with renewing windows in my dormer up/down 2 flights of stairs and an awkward narrow stairway. He accomplished this perfectly with no collateral damage and left things clean and tidy. Good job well done!

A really good company every stage of the process was professional and efficient and Mark did an excellent job in the installation which looks amazing.

Mark Christie was very professional and so helpful. He left the kitchen looking better than when he arrived. He done our windows before I can not recommend him enough. He replaced my kitchen window and the one in my utility room. He was very polite A+++ I will be recommending him.

The salesman was spot on, the surveyor the same, the installer very professional , done a cracking job. However the weak link is the infant in the office
He has trouble putting the right people in the right place at the right time. Answering the phone no chance. Replying to texts takes days. Maybe he should get an adult to do it for him. His spoiling a good team.

We cannot praise Active Windows enough. Their professional, punctual and friendly team replaced and installed massive triangular windows for us and our next door neighbours. It was a challenging project spanning the top floors of three storey townhouses. The installers, Phil, Mark, Danny and Dave, worked at a great height on scaffolding that was built perfectly for the installation on such a difficult position. The team did a magnificent job. If we need more windows replaced, they’ve got the job. We would highly recommend them on all fronts. From high quality workmanship to reasonable prices they are hard to beat.

Active Windows initially replaced 5 windows in our house and we then asked them to replace the front and back doors. We are very happy with the quality of the windows and doors. Communication was good throughout the process and the surveyors and fitters were efficient and polite. We noted a small ussue with one of the windows not fitting the frame by a couple of millimetres on one side and Active Windows weee prompt in returning to look at this.

Active Windows are good quality at a fair price. The windows seem strong and look lovely. Very pleased. Good efficient service from friendly salesmen and fitters alike. Had my upstairs windows replaced a year ago and looking forward to them returning to do my downstairs windows and front door.

The firm was recommended by a friend, and we have been very happy with both the work and the price, with pleasant and hardworking staff. We needed scaffolding for our attic room and this was very discreetely done to safeguard our solar panels on the extension roof. Our 3rd fitting,in Jan 26, on the north facing side of house was on the coldest day of the winter, Dave and Jake worked in minus temperatures, superb workmanship in inclement conditions! Thank you.

Very Disappointing Quality and Service

We decided to purchase two doors from them: a patio door and a front door in sage green.

The main reason we agreed to replace our front door was because we specifically wanted a door that would lock securely once shut. Unfortunately, after waiting several months for the installation, we discovered that the new door would not lock when closed from the outside.

That wasn't the only problem. The front door would not close properly and would even reopen in the wind. Some parts were missing and had to be sourced later, and the handle was loose and shaky. The patio door has issues too, with the rubber seal falling off almost immediately and refusing to stay in place, making the door difficult to lock.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. Considering the significant amount we paid for the doors, I feel the cost was absolutely not justified by the quality of the products. The service could also be improved, particularly when it comes to communication and responding to issues in a timely manner. This has been going on since April so over 4 months now.

What made the whole experience even more disappointing was that, despite these issues still not being properly resolved, they came to our house to take photographs of the doors to use for future sales and to attract more customers. It was extremely frustrating to see our doors being used as an example to potential customers when we were still dealing with unresolved problems ourselves.

We expected much better quality, installation and after-sales service for the price we paid. Unfortunately, we are extremely disappointed with the overall experience and would not expect this level of quality from a company charging such a significant amount.

Your agents have always been very polite and not pushy, leaving us to make up our own minds without any pressure. We’ve had companies that won’t take no for an answer, leaving us to cancel the moment they leave.

We had our sofits and guttering done. Really pleased with them thank you. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and told me about some extra bit that woukd need doing but no pushyness to get it done just honest advice

We have just had our new door fitted , couldn’t be happier. Friendly professional fitter leaving a clean tidy finish . We were able to customise our door and with top of the range locking mechanisms.
Definitely will give them more work in the future.
