I was disappointed with my experience…
I was disappointed with my experience with AE Sewing machines. I only chose to buy from them after reading good customer service reviews.
I received my initial order very quickly which was amazing, unfortunately the machine had a couple of chips on the arm plate.
I understand these things happen but the lady I spoke to about it was very abrupt and short. I was told to ‘just return it, we sell loads of these’. I did ask if the return would be at my cost and was told in the same manner to ‘send in my invoice’.
I returned the machine and requested a replacement. I had to call twice to chase my replacement which I did receive and am happy with.
I am just going to cut my losses on the return costs of the damaged machine, I will not be spending any more of my time or money with AE Sewing machines. Hopefully my experience was just a blip and others will have better service.

Thank you for leaving this review. We have discussed the issues raised in our morning meeting to establish where we went wrong in this instance and how we can resolve this.
In terms of the machine itself, being a portable blind hemmer rather than a standard machine with a table, etc. it was not subject to our usual build process. The machine is delivered to us as a complete unit, and we unfortunately didn't pick up on the manufacturers issue with the chips before sending it out to you.
It is important for us to receive a faulty product back before issuing a replacement as we need to carry out checks to establish that the same faults aren't present. As we don't have your delivery invoice (as you have explained, you were just going to cut your losses) we have instead refunded you £10 from your order value in the hopes that this will cover the cost.
We apologise for not meeting your customer service expectations on this occasion, as this is not the standard we hold ourselves to. Although it isn't what we want to hear, your feedback helps us to improve.
If you need any advice or have any questions about the machine going forward please don't hesitate to contact us.

BRILLIANT COMPANY WOULD RECOMMEND
Impressed is an understatement. Pricing very competitive, couldn't find cheaper including postage for original part. Kept in the loop regarding delivery by email. Delivered on time, packaging was second to none. Product was perfect and original. Would recommend. All round amazing service from start to finish. WELL DONE

New machine
Wow! Excellent customer service . My own lock stitch Machine broke and spoke to Rhys about a new one late afternoon. I explained I needed a replacement as soon as possible and it was delivered the following morning. Would definitely recommend AE again.

Ordered between Christmas and new year…
Ordered between Christmas and new year was told it would be shipped on 05 Jan, still didn't arrive until 09 jan with 48h delivery. I am sure that Royal Mail was the problem. Apart from that the service was good and my partner loves the scissors and says they are really quiet compared to the cheaper versions.
