I AM a fan.

Well, I definitely do not understand the poor reviews here. We all know what we are going to get when we go to Aldi. Limited choice (my personal fav vs the overload of other bigger stores), self checkout, no customer service and cheaper groceries. It's my go to.

What ever happened to customer service?

What ever happened to customer service? You can't even call Aldi now to query stock location. Instead you have to check the app for stock availability and hope that it's accurate. It would have been nice to be able to check with the stores that were listed as having stock to save driving around only to be disappointed. This is a major Aldi floor. The other thing I find a joke is Aldi making the same product 1c cheaper just to make the claim of cheaper.

You can’t complain to Aldi

You can’t complain to store
You can’t call head office
You can’t email
And
You can’t forward a complaint form
as their ‘organised’ glitch won’t allow a surname - any surname to be accepted so you can’t send
I’ve tried 3 times. For over an hour each day. It’s always the same.

I used to praise now I am going to spend 10 mi utes co plain g to staff everytime I go back and get told. Go to the website or send an email. Nothing works

ALDI's Bunbury store is a joke

ALDI Australia's Bunbury store is an absolute joke - rude staff, no customer service, keeping the self serve checkouts closed constantly and forcing people to line up at one check out - when you ask staff to open it, they are rude and tell you to 'go and shop somewhere else if you don't like it'. One staff member lost control of the trolley she was pushing and rammed into the back of me - absolutely appalling. I complained but Aldi doesn't care.

I'm a senior who shops every second…

I'm a senior who shops every second week for a three generation household, I enjoy the outing, went to Aldi today, they closed the main checkouts, I was approached being asked if I was paying by cash or card, I said card and directed me to self serve, at first I thought they were going to open another register, but no. Stood my ground and refused and waited. After waiting and other people waiting with full trolley's, another senior lady behind me refusing as well.
Eventually they opened the main service register. The staff stated they are starting as of next week, will only be self serve. Being elderly and trolley full, I expect to have the option, at my age I'm not fast and have slowed down. Even when I was finally put through the main registers, I was hurried a long to pay twice, before I had all my items in the trolley.
ALDI You will loose customer's. Customers should have the option and keep Australians employed, not machines, we all know the difficulty of using these machines without it failing and having to wait for it to be fixed, especially with a big shop.

Don't order food from Aldi

This week I bought groceries through Aldi using Door Dash to deliver. I bought a 2kg mince which did not turn up at all. Also I ordered for my dog some cans of Sardines in spring water and said not to substitute it. They provided the Tuna in oil which my dog can't eat. I contacted them and they refused to provide a refund or give me what I ordered because I could not provide a receipt of which they did not provide to me in the delivery.

All Manned Registers Closed from now on unless you ask and are using cash only!

Went to Aldi today and all the manned registered were closed with only self-serve open. When I asked a staff member why, was told manned registers are now only for cash transactions.

Double loading and off loading of groceries is quite painful. I fear for the disabled or elderly if this going to be the policy from now onward.

Will stop shopping there if this policy is not reversed.

Had the worst experience at Bentleigh…

Had the worst experience at Bentleigh store in Victoria today . I was going through check out and showed my bag which had Blue ribbon icecream that was purchased from Woolworths as Aldi have not stocked this at Bentleigh for many months. The cashier insisted to scan it and told me it was their product and would not give back to me. I told him to look in the freezer section as they do not sell this at present. He said they did. . I showed him the receipt on my phone but because it doesn’t show itemised he insisted I had to go back to Woolworths to get the paper receipt. Apart from being totally humiliated and inconvenienced as I had to walk back 20 minutes to get the receipt , if he had checked the freezer section he would have seen they don’t have this in stock . When I arrived back with receipt he realised he was wrong but it was too late as I felt embarrassed.

Worst experience

Genuinely sad writing this. Loved Aldi for years, until this new thing where self checkouts are closed. Why have them?! They are closed until the line passes the freezers, forcing people to wait till someone comes and opens them up, which then the scale goes off every item I scan!!! Do better Aldi !

Not comply with Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA),

On 31 July, at around 10:00 am, I attended the ALDI Auburn store to request a warranty assessment for a milk frother that stopped working after approximately five months. The appliance had only been used a few times. I brought the original receipt with me.

The store's relieving shift manager, "DXXXX", advised me that the milk frother was not covered under warranty and that he could not assist me. I explained that, according to ALDI's warranty policy and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law), the product should still be covered if it has failed within a reasonable period.

Declan responded by saying, "I'm not going to do that. Go wherever you want." Several customers in the store told him that he was mistaken. Some of them searched the ALDI website on their phones and showed him ALDI's warranty policy for the milk frother. Despite this, he insisted that the policy did not apply to the model I had purchased. He repeatedly stated that he was the manager and that what he said was final.

I then asked him to contact or speak with his manager to confirm the warranty policy, but he refused. His behaviour was dismissive, unprofessional, and inconsistent with the level of customer service I would expect from ALDI.

I would like ALDI to investigate this matter thoroughly, including reviewing the store's CCTV footage from around 10:00 am on 31 July. The footage will confirm what occurred and the discussions that took place between myself, Declan, and the other customers who witnessed the incident and attempted to assist by showing him ALDI's own warranty policy. I also request that my warranty claim be assessed in accordance with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law) and ALDI's warranty policy.

I am also seeking legal advice regarding the way I was treated. I believe I was unnecessarily delayed in the store for an extended period and publicly humiliated while the relieving manager attempted to demonstrate that his decision was final and above challenge. I found his conduct disrespectful, intimidating, and completely unacceptable.
