Poor service & long wait on delivery
We ordered furniture with Aldiss Norwich back in Sept 2021 and all items have been fully paid for. The service we have received has been very poor and overall the experience purchasing with Aldiss has been a negative one. We still havent received some of the furniture and most of the furniture we have received needs to be replaced due to being broken. We have been advised we should get them end of August/ Sept which will be a year since our purchase.

Thank you for your email stating you would sell 3 Door Wardrobe to help me out and replace with 2 door.

We purchased sofas and had an issue with them which wasn’t the fault of the store and they have been absolutely brilliant in working with us to resolve it, the customer service is first class and highly recommended.
Faulty Goods and poor customer care
On the 3/09/21 I ordered two chairs from Aldiss, having understood they had a reputation for high quality service and goods, they cost £329 and £659 they were eventually delivered on the 9/12/21. Early in January, 22 I noticed a nasty fault in the material on the arm of the more expensive chair, I contacted the Norwich store where I bought it, who weren't very interested, but eventual told me I would have to email, a named person in some department or other and send photos, which I did, I then waited and waited, eventually I contacted the Norwich store who put me through to the named person concerned, who happened to be in the Norwich store, who then informed me, yes she had the email and she then told me the flaw was flattening of the pile, the chair had hardly been used, I told her I wasn't satisfied with this explanation, eventually she told me to get in touch with the repair company who sent someone to look at the chair, he agreed that there was a definitly a flaw, and the chair had been badly finished, he would send a report to Aldiss regarding this, I waited and waited, eventually I rang Aldiss again and spoke to the person concerned, by now it was mid February, she informed me that she had not received a report, I would have to get in touch with the repair company, which, reluctantly, I did. The repair company informed me the report had been sent.... This goes on and on, anyway, yesterday, the 1st April I received the replacement arm cover, by post heaven only knows when the repairer will be here to fit it, looks like it will entail more phone calls, Never ever will I buy anything from Aldiss again, nor would I recommend them. The remainder of the furniture I bought for my new flat come from Furniture Village, about £4000 worth of goods, everything was delivered in 4 - 6 weeks in good condition, and I was constantly kept informed as to what was happening.
PS 5th May, still waiting for repairs to be made, by Aldiss, I also put a review on their facebook, and I have now been banned from using their page page, which was removed within minuites.

Have been a customer here for many years, had found an excellent sofa from a competitor at an excellent price. However we try if possible to shop locally and called at Aldiss Norwich store to ask if they would price match which they said they would. However the manager came over to see us after a short while and said that we had made a mistake and the competitor did not include the sofa we wanted in their sale price (20% off). When I checked later I found out that this was a complete lie and within 15 minutes had ordered the sofa and obtained a quotation to confirm, which I emailed to them. They telephoned back and insinuated that I had asked for a quotation from their competitor in a cheaper fabric than the one I wanted from them which in short was accusing me of lying. I have now ordered the sofa from Furniture Village and will not be shopping at Aldiss again. Vic
Excellent service and products
I bought four pieces of furniture from Aldiss this month. It was the best experience I had shopping for a long time. The sales assistant really knew her products but wasn't pushy. Furniture was very good quality.
It was delivered on time, guys wore masks, they were on time, put the stuff in the room and took all the rubbish away. All in all a very good experience. I will be back.
Faultless and friendly customer service and delivery
I would give Aldiss 6 stars if I could. I ordered a set of Denby bowls 3 days before my partner's birthday. These particular types of bowls were very hard to get elsewhere as they were no longer in production but Aldiss had them (and discounted).
I happily submitted my order and the estimated delivery date was 4-7 days. Fair enough, I thought, they might come a bit late for my partner's birthday but that's fine and it was my fault for not ordering sooner.
I still decided to chance it and emailed Aldiss just to see whether they could deliver sooner rather than later. To my surprise, I got a lovely answer very quickly saying 'no problem', it was being packaged now and would be delivered in 2 days!
True to their word, the bowls arrived much sooner than expected, at no extra cost and in impressively carefully wrapping and protection.
My partner was delighted and I would absolutely come back to Aldiss again and recommend anyone else does too.

Terrible service I would advise anyone looking to purchase furniture to buy elsewhere.
I ordered a sofa in June and was told delivery would be the last week of October first week of November. We went into the Norwich store mid November to find out what was happening, because it was a Saturday we were told that they couldn’t contact the company but that delivery was imminent and they would give me an update on the Monday.
Heard nothing contacted again in December they would chase it up. I was then informed that the manufacturer was saying delivery on the 28 th December they felt this was probably unrealistic and to expect in early January. January finally given a delivery date Wednesday 17th took the afternoon off work, they arrived with the wrong sofa. We ordered a right facing corner sofa a left corner sofa arrived.
Delivery drivers were very apologetic someone from customer services would call me by the end of Thursday 18th at the latest.
Nothing, on friday 19th I called they couldn’t tell me anything !! They had sent an email to the manufacturer!!! I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was in a meeting and was would call me back.
Today still heard nothing so I called again they still don’t know anything they can’t confirm a timeframe possibly another 9 months is this acceptable? They are going to send the manufacturer another email!!! Really!!
Has the manager not called you No,has anyone called you No, promised call back from Adam the manager again nothing.
Please Aldis can you send me the details of someone prepared to deal with this complaint preferably someone who actually gives a dam.

Ordered a large batch of Denby plates over the phone after website failed to accept any of my cards.
Very pleased with the service - super friendly and helpful chap. He took his time to get the order placed correctly, including checking items were in stock, checking deliver dates and price matching web offer.
Items arrived not much more than 24 hours later -earlier than expected. Very well packaged.
I'd never heard of this store before but they were the only place that could offered guaranteed delivery by xmas, had items in stock and were fairly priced. Please to have found them. Super customer service over the phone and excellent fast delivery. Will have no hesitation in ordering from them again.
I am so upset
I am so upset. Have been waiting a log time for carpet to be fitted. They arrived this morning to fit the carpet. When I asked one of them if they would be wearing a mask to enter my house the man said NO they cannot wear a mask when fitting a carpet. I questioned this but was obviously not allowed to do so.
He then threw a strop slammed his door shut and went to leave. I tried to discuss the matter with him and find a way forward but he did want want to discuss anything he was going.
I am now left with a bedroom coming up to Christmas with no carpet.
We live in a cottage with small rooms and windows. Omicron is rife at the moment and I feel that as we are older more vulranable people I had every right to challenge when coming in to my home.
Aldiss carpet fitters have other ideas and just don't care won't discuss anything and just throw a strop and leave.
Thanks Aldiss we have spent a lot of money in store over the years but no more if this is how you are going to treat people.

Inexpensive
Inexpensive, you get more for your dollar. Food is organic and vegetables are always fresh. Love shopping and spending less at Aldis, really wish other stores implemented the same strategies that Aldis implements.

No after care
I ordered some Denby plates. Delivery was great, but the plates had stickers on them that just could not be removed despite soaking and scrubbing. They left a sticky discoloured mark. I contacted them to tell them but heard nothing back. It seems they have my money and don't care any more.

OMG customer for 20 year .... never again will I buy from this store
OMG, The service the products, and the time it has taken are terrible over four months now, and still waiting. was told we would have everything for the 1st of June for my elderly Auntie 87 so she would be comfortable in her new house nothing not even a bed to sleep in arrived when they said after they delivered
end of July most items was missing and they send the wrong items or they were damaged, not just once but twice the wrong thing was sent, they said everything would be sorted out last week Sep once and for all still waiting three weeks since our last call and heard nothing again... we have still got the wrong furniture and damaged furniture and getting nowhere it very disappointing.
Quick service but poor return postage costs
Happy with quick dispatch when I bought a bag. But the recycled packaging made it smell absolutely awful. I appreciate eco-friendly materials, but these really smell and infused into the fabric of the bag. Also be aware if you want to return an item, you're paying delivery both ways - they don't refund delivery costs and you have to pay for the return postage. I understand why they don't absorb the cost but if I'd bought the same item on Amazon, this wouldn't happen. It's a shame as I'd rather support smaller UK businesses, but you get rather stung.
Very poor customer care
We will not be visiting this shop again ordered 2 chairs in January to match what we had purchased 2 year's previously when they arrived at end of May they were a different shade although the colour code was the same, shop manager was not interested in looking into this problem and repeatedly said we got what we ordered and could have our money back all we can say is that if our chairs have faded that much in two years then the quality is very poor, friends and family are also now aware of the total lack of customer care from this store.
