Impeccable Customer service

Impeccable Customer service.
Recently bought a fantasia corner suit from Aldis at Fakenham, after a delay with delivery we took possession, unfortunately after only having this suite a short while we noticed that the cushions had started to loose there shape and rather than the sofa looking like a new 3 month old sofa it looked like something we had had for a year and something we wouldn't have expected from Aldis.
We contacted customer services at Fakenham and found them to be very helpful, firstly arranging for a specialist to come and visit to inspect our new sofa.
They agreed that there were certainly issues with the suite and fed this back to head office, without delay customer service contacted us and invited us back to the store to select a different suite. Allowing us to keep the faulty one until it could be replaced.
Unfortunately after attending the store again we couldn't find anything that matched our requirements and after a short conversation with the furniture department manager he agreed to refund us the cost of the sofa and arrange the uplift of the suite.
Throughout the whole process we found both the furniture department manager and customer services to be accommodating, friendly and helpful, unlike some big retailers that just put hurdles and hoops to jump through inorder to resolve a problem.
Credit where credit is due well done Aldis on your customer service, we would certainly shop there again in the future.

Poor delivery times

I bought two items of furniture on 31/12/20 and was given a delivery date of February. This passed with no contact from the store . I have since been given a further three dates which has resulted in one piece being delivered and still waiting for the telephone table. The last date given from the manager was the last week of May. Never got a call so I rang them. The chap I spoke to said he would check and ring me the next day between 10-12 no call. I rang them the day after and the lady I spoke to said she would ring me back. She did and informed me the new delivery date is August!! It will be eight months on order.
This is bang out of order, taking money and having to wait so long.
We have spent a lot of money with this store over the last twelve months and this is not the first example of very poor service.
I suggest you don’t buy anything from them which is not available on express delivery.
The Managers attitude wasn’t brilliant blaming everybody else except Aldiss.
Be warned.

Brought a lovely sofa and chairs which…

Brought a lovely sofa and chairs which were in stock and 4 dining chairs and was told would be delivered in 2 weeks.arrived today and they look lovely in the rooms.
The two delivery men were very helpful and polite.
Wil definitely be buying from aldiss again and would recommend for quality and service.

Poor shipping times

I think it’s scandalous that you can spend £200 and still have to wait 5 days (excl. weekends) for delivery when it is sent by courier. For this cost it should be sent next working day without argument.

Disappointed to say the least

I wanted to buy a sofa I had seen online but as I was out of the normal delivery zone, I read on the website I needed to call to get a delivery charge. I rang on Monday afternoon, I was told yes delivery would be £99. I wanted to wait for my partner to come home so he could look, he also liked the sofa so I rang on Tuesday to buy.

I was told 'we are really busy here at the moment, I'll call you back'. Got a call back to say, 'we actually have a new sofa in stock in the other branch but I need your postcode to confirm price of delivery'and I'll call you back again', 4 hours later, no call back. I phone again, after 2 failed attempts to get through to each branch, my number gets taken again and someone else calls me back, to then be told, unless you spend over £2,500, we can't deliver. What a complete waste of my time! This should be clear on the website and staff should be aware. I'm very frustrated and disappointed as I had my heart set on the sofa after lots of searching.

Good experience if that reassures anyone

I bought bedding & curtains from here recently and was wary of ordering after seeing these reviews. I went ahead and had a good experience.
I emailed customer service before to double check stock and received replies very promptly. My items arrived today as expected. I have reordered.

Knocked off a star because: The stock updates on the website are slow, so sometimes it says it is out of stock when it isn't (perpetuated by the fact that that if you add something to your basket, it doesn't confirm it, so you can end up accumulating things in your basket which is emptied by the system but not added back to the stock promptly!)
The items arrived in split product packaging, although the product inside was absolutely fine.

Overall my experience has been good and I would recommend.

Fantastic service!

Can’t rate this company highly enough.
Received my two deliveries from them today. Firstly my garden furniture and later my home wares delivery.
The furniture arrived early this morning, delivered by two lovely, polite and friendly gentlemen. Carried it to the back garden for me and unpackaged most of it and took the rubbish away. Were mindful of my property and socially distanced. Brilliant service from them.
Then my homewares arrived, delivered by FedEx. It Was all extremely well packaged, nothing broke including the two sets of glasses.
Fantastic service and I will now be shopping with them regularly.

2 days ago I was asked to review a product I had not received so I put one star to say I had not received the Item I got a very nice email to say how sorry they were and I also got a phone call from Aldiss with apologies and the Item has now been delivered which we are very pleased with.

Terrible customer service

Received lamp that doesn’t work. Left message on answer phone . Rang twice told someone would ring back, emailed twice. Still not received any response .

Outlandish Cancellation Fees

We bought an expensive sofa from Aldiss in December 2020, £3000+ and paid in full. As they did not have one in stock we were told it would take about 12-14 weeks to arrive. Due to an unexpected event at home requiring a large financial outlay, in the eighth week, we reluctantly had to cancel the order for a refund as the money was desperately needed elsewhere. I was expecting a small cost for cancellation but was told I would have to pay £804.00 just to cancel!
Low and behold it mentioned a min. 25% charge for a special order in the Terms and conditions written in small grey writing on the reverse of the invoice. As this item is usually in stock at Aldiss stores I would not have classed this as a special order but they insist that it was. They would not move on this cost, so beware and read the small print. They have lost our future business and we have spent over £10000 with them in the recent past - customer loyalty is clearly low on their list of priorities.

Never purchase from Aldis in Norwich for Delivery

Having placed our order for delivery before December 2020 as we placed on 3rd September 2020. Delivery was 14th December but nothing arrived as per phone call to Norwich Branch. Again phone call made by us and no date was given. If we had known the order would not be placed. We did ask for a refund but told this could not be done. If they had said that this was from abroad and time limit or card on the furniture stating this then we would not have paid in full or even placed the order. We were given the chose of having from the shop floor but with no discount. Hence still waiting. My father has terminal cancer and was for his birthday.
