Allwoods started in 1910 and became the worlds leading Dianthus specialist, their breeding breakthrough in the early 1900s revolutionised plant breeding with many techniques still used around the world. Many of our early varieties are still as popular as ever. They are dedicated and passionate about the plants they grow, and are proud to be able to offer such a wide range of unusual and interesting varieties, lots are rare and exclusive to us!! and all are ‘home grown’ on our nursery in Sussex by David and his team. They continue to breed new varieties.

Excellant baby plants.
I have bought plants from this company for several years now. They are always well packaged and labeled. The only problem is me as I don't always give the baby plants the best care. But the plants that survive do well.

Lovely little plants
The order took more than 30 days to arrive, so it's a little late in the season to be potting up, but I'll hope for the best. Some of the plants looked a little peaky, yellow and droopy, but they are perking up nicely. I think they'll all survive.

All our plants are covered by our 30 day guarantee and we don't expect you to keep plants you are unhappy with, simply return them back to us as per our guarantee and we will resolve the situation for you. We ask that plants are returned back so we can see what has gone wrong. We take great pride in our plants and to hear you are not happy causes us concern, alternatively if you wish to send photos directly to us at: plants@allwoods.net we can then investigate what has happened on this occasion.

Some of the worst cuttings I have received, last year's were bad enough, thought I would give Allwoods the benefit and try them again should have saved my money, they must define cuttings differently from other growers, if I could upload photos I would.

10 superb named Dianthus
I collected 10 superb dianthus from the nursery, they are now potted up in the greenhouse.
Lived in the area for nearly 40 years and it’s great to be able to order plants from this long established nursery.
Looking at the catalogue will be ordering more items next spring
