First I was charged erroneously $200…
First I was charged erroneously $200 for work that was never done at my home.
Second I have had to call to make two appointment for technicians to assess and repair my home alarm system. American Alarm should be contacting me with estimated cost of work and making appointments. I should not be calling the company
Third neither visit by technicians resulted in any repairs which is understandable because the system needs to be replaced. The latter technician said the company would reach out to me about another appointment. After several days of not having heard from American Alarm I called the office. It was at that point that I was told the repair/replacement would take 5 hours and cost $1500. I did not expect to have to pay much for a repair/replaebt of equipment that malfunction during a brief thunder and lightning storm.
I started to question how reliable and durable American Alarm hardware as a result. Interestingly my neighbors who uses other alarm system companies did not experience any problems with their systems during or after the storm.
I don’t understand why the client should pay so
Much for repairs/replacements as a result of the malfunction of the company’s equipment and wireless (or cellular) connection.

The guys that show up at the house are always absolutely wonderful, polite, Clean and professional.
But we recently had an alarm go off, and the person on the phone helping us was less than helpful. It appeared that was finger pointing between the Wallingford location and your Massachusetts location. Which I did not appreciate. I really don’t care how you manage your business, but the person that I was speaking to on the phone for Massachusetts was completely useless and could not help me. It was only until I spoke to somebody in Wallingford that I can help. Not sure if anybody has ever communicated this to you, but you may want to take care of this since your reputation is really what I’m paying for.

My problem was caused by a non-American…
My problem was caused by a non-American Alarm Device. The technician felt he could find the source based on past experience.
It was an improper wireless connection and therefore not traceable. His persistence paid off.
