I went with American Way because they stated they are Veteran owned. Rep Joseph Greene told me they would crate the motorcycle and charged me $250. Talked to Carlos and he threaten me with a lawsuit if I backed out of the move. American Way passed the move to Titian Van Lines. So Titian Van Lines came to the house and didn't have the crate for the motorcycle, they stated they were not told about the crate and also didn't have one big enough for the motorcycle. Called American Way and talked to Carlos again and he was sorry about that and would refund me the money. I have not received the money!!! Titian stated they would strap the motorcycle and cover it and not place anything on top of the bike and charged me 250.00 dollars. Well Titian Van Lines passed this to a 3rd party mover. Well, the motorcycle was damaged have pictures of the motorcycle with a boat on top of it and leaning up against plywood no cover or strapped down. I have texted and emailed all three companies, and they are ghosting me.

Stay away from them I am getting legal involved Chris is a pos and is rude and disrespectful. They had my stuff since 9-28-24 and it’s 10/14 and I still don’t have an eta of real time per there contract they 14 days and we’re past it. Chris what goes around will come back around, he will rep himself as the carrier biiggest scammer around . Run please he quote me for 300! Cubic feet I didn’t know and I had to pay 1800 more when they pick my stuff up. I called him he has hung up on me 8 plus times. I am seeking legal and his ass needs to out of business. Please go elsewhere

WARNING: This is not a moving company, they are a broker. They work with actual movers to plan your move. They run very deceptive business practices. Their sales person, Anthony gave me an estimate for all the items to be moved, but the bill of lading (BOL) was for only the base 300 cubic feet of volume (which is the size of a large closet), no where close to moving a 3 bedroom house, in my case.
They tried to manipulate and deceive me in thinking that 300 cubic feet is only for documentation purposes. They threw a bunch of word salad at me.
They collected $960 in deposit from me with a total move cost of $2647 (pretty attractive, huh, but wait, keep reading...) This is a deceptive business practice moving brokers do. They quote you a low price, and then when the actual moving company with the truck shows up, the movers will look at your BOL and deny loading more than what the bill of lading shows. At that time you are left with no choice but to pay more than what was quoted. After I confronted them regarding the discrepancy in the BOL and the quote along with me mentioning the negative reviews and complaints from other customers, , their "supervisor" Joe was rude, manipulative, and made derogatory remarks about my race. In the end when I requested that I'd like to cancel the move and get a refund of my deposit (which was well within 72 hour deadline from signing the BOL), Joe made another smirky response and hung up. I had to go through their customer service to request a refund. They told me it can take 10 business days. This sounded fishy too, so I had to open up a Fraud case with my bank and put a stop payment on the pending deposit which hadn't been posted (thank God).

Please, save yourself the headache and find a direct moving company. Make sure that they do a full inventory count and the BOL makes sense withe the moving estimate.

I would rate this company zero stars if possible. My experience has been marked by unprofessionalism and dishonesty. They do not adhere to their own terms and conditions and seem to have little regard for ethical business practices. I strongly advise against signing a contract with them. Be wary of the low initial estimates, as they will likely increase the final amount at pickup. It's hard to comprehend how businesses like this remain operational. The customer service and sales representatives lack professionalism and expertise. I recommend avoiding this company entirely. Note that these 5-star reviews have been flagged as stated by Trustpilot investigating the 5 stars being left by current employees of the company.

This was a scam. They seem very nice and trusting by sending their sales guy Chris. Then they come to your house with 2 thugs trying to extort you. They then it outside while you call the number...Chris now has you blocked...the 800 number patches you to the thugs outside who are swearing at you. Then they drive off when you won't pay several thousand more than they quoted and then keep your money. They then block you on all numbers.

This company doesn't move you. They are a broker that hires another company to move you. They and the company they hire doesn't honor a binding Contract and Bill of Lading. Great Sales Pitch by Cameron Lawrence. Great follow up paperwork by all at American Way and Moving. NO HELP when the movers they hired MASTER MOVING refused to load items per bill of lading and took only small boxes they chose to select and left all the Mother and Daughter's worldly possessions behind. Bed, Mattresses, chest of drawers, dresser, TV and more boxes with Heirloom Christmas decorations. Not a Lot, but amount computed by Cameron and per bill of lading. The movers demanded more money upon
arrival and none was available. They were asked to remove the boxes they had loaded and take the bed and furniture items and they just closed the truck doors and drove away. Such a horrible experience to have to leave all your possessions behind. Neither Company did nor have done anything to rectify this unjustice.

I am writing to file a complaint against American Way Moving for their dishonest and unprofessional conduct.

The company signed me to a binding agreement with a price that was not to exceed the quoted amount. They took an itemized list of what I would put in the moving truck. And told me that the amount of items would fit, and I would likely have extra space to add more things. On the day of the move, they contracted movers who told me that my bed alone would take up the majority of the space and that I would need to pay an additional $2,000 to fit everything.

When I called customer service to complain, they initially said that if I didn’t want to pay the additional fee, they would refund me. However, they are now refusing to refund the total amount because they claim I canceled the service. The truth is that I didn’t cancel; the movers canceled because I refused to pay the additional $2,000.

Joe and Chris Walters who I dealt with, were rude and incompetent. They lied and cheated me out of my money. The movers they hired admitted that they don’t read the contracts because there are too many to go through. This left me high and dry on my move day, causing significant inconvenience and distress.

I am demanding a full refund as promised. This company is corrupt and should be held accountable for their unethical practices.

They expertly packed all my belongings and took care of everything, leaving me with the simple task of directing them where to park in FL. The smooth operation of everything left me amazed.

They low ball you a quote then on the day of delivery you pay double. The only good thing was nothing was missing and very little damage to goods. Customer Service was great till you give them your money then you never can reach them.

Had a seamless relocation. From packing to delivery, they managed it all responsibly. Will surely contact them again!

Unbelievable experience from a close friend. They hired it out to another company that took a month to receive out of state. Broken items and let's not talk 3 price changes!

Bad business ethics!

I have never been madder and more disappointed in a company than I am at American Way moving. They are total scammers!!! Dan started out so nice telling you all about how they are veteran owned and his story and after we went through my inventory he quoted me a price for the full move. All good right? Three days before I was closing to sell my house - exactly close enough that it pretty much would have been impossible to hire a new company- I get a call from a different guy. This guy says he needs to verify my inventory. He goes on to tell me Dan had not done the math right and I now needed two trucks instead of one. I told him I would not do that and he could just send the one truck and if everything didn’t fit I would move it later. At that point he still said he had to charge me more because Dans math was wrong. This is the first time I was uncharged and it added 50% of my original quote - so now I was at 150% of the original quote. Had no choice and agreed. Then they didn’t show up until late the night they were scheduled and it wasn’t even them. They had hired out my job to a totally different company called Good Move USA. The woman in charge was completely unprofessional and they didn’t even finish getting my stuff packed that night and had to come back the next day. And I got up charged again for “bulk items” that were in the original inventory list. At this point I was at DOUBLE my original quote. Once they had everything in the truck I get another bombshell. They aren’t going to be delivering my stuff the next week as we had discussed they would have it there anytime in the next 6 WEEKS!! They put your stuff in a damp musty storage unit until they have “time” to deliver it. Then when my stuff finally came a month later boxes were smashed and my very expensive sleep number bed had been broken when they took it apart. After all that Dan and American Way won’t even answer my calls. STAY AWAY from this company!!!!!

They are scammers, cheaters and liars. Initially they quote for less and demand for more money when they come to pick your things. I strongly don’t recommend this movers company.

So my experience started 6/6/24 when I called and reserved 14’ of trailer from Calif to Texas, 1550 miles 23 hr drive, given a quote and paid, my belongings were picked up on 6/20 by B&A movers as scheduled ( mostly toolboxes, cardboard boxes and 2 motorcycles ( to be crated up for shipping $450 extra) bikes weren’t crated small bobtail truck picked up transferred to warehouse 2 hrs away, I was told then it would be delivered next Friday the 28th, fine. On Friday I called to see what time it was arriving, I was told the carrier’s owner said not until Saturday the 6th! So the next Friday I call to confirm (7/5) and told it was an answering service and they couldn’t help me have to call back tomorrow I questioned it being Saturday and told yes they are open, called Saturday 5 times customer service got answering service finally called sales they answered researched and said would be delivered Monday the 8th! Monday I called so many times they were rude, and said stop calling they would call with an update, I sent a text to B and A moving and they called me back, no truck yet my stuff is sitting in warehouse in Santa Clarita,Ca don’t know when it will ship! I called America Way back again and told them the update! Two days later b&a texted me it’s loading tomorrow the 11th, Great! Now back on the 6th I was told the bulky items fee $675 would be removed for the headache. Today is Friday the 12th and I’ve called 5 times trying to confirm delivery, confirm discount, again told they’ll call me! I’ve been told nothing but lies from customer service, hung up on multiple times, told they would call, not one call from multiple promises still no idea where my stuff is! I’ve spent 8+ hours calling given 3 non existent delivery dates and still don’t know if it’s on its way!

I honestly don’t know if this company can improve. They are better off shutting down their services. Used this company to move out of state and it was the absolute worst experience! First of all I provided a list of items I had in a storage unit that I wanted moved. The first guy I spoke to told me the truck size I would need and cost. Several phone calls later and the price changed multiple times and it was not just a few dollars it was hundreds to thousands of dollars. Pictures of my unit were sent ahead of time so no SURPRISES for anyone. Then the day the contracted movers were set to come I was told they would arrive at the storage between 4-6pm. Due to me already being out of the state I had my friend meet them there. They called at 7pm stating they were still another 30 minutes moving another unit. They called around 8 saying they were an hour out. By the time they showed up to the unit and saw my unit now all of a sudden the movers are stating that there were multiple things they couldn’t take. They didn’t have the space, the item was never listed on the original contract. At this point the storage is about to close. They said we will have to come finish the move tomorrow. They were supposed to be at the storage unit at 6AM they had my friend and girlfriend waiting for two hours to show up. Then they continued to say that they were going to charge me an additional cost. At this point almost totaling this move over 1000s of dollars. The moving company they contacted with told me the day of delivery they would need to charge me an extra 500 to get a uhaul since their truck is couldn’t fit into my apartment complex. Then continued to say they were never informed I was on the second floor so that would be an additional cost! It was in the original contract that I was on the second floor! I had to go get a U-Haul myself and have them put my stuff in the truck and move it on my own. I could not afford to pay more money to this company after already paying thousands of dollars! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are rude, unprofessional and do not have one single ounce of respect for your their customers time or belongings!

This company doesn't move you. They are a broker that hires another company to move you. They and the company they hire doesn't honor a binding estimate since the company they hired after the put all my belongings on their truck doubled the price. I reached out to them about this issue and they still have not returned my call. Please be aware and don't use them use a reputable company that does everything. This is my worse experience with a move and the most expensive even though I downsized from 6000 square foot home to a 1700 square foot house within the last 4 years.

I had a great time. I have many things to say about them. They deserve 10 stars!

I was wondering how long it typically takes for moving items to be delivered from one state to another. I moved from GA to MA. The items were picked up from my house in GA on 5/30, and they said they are in storage in GA. It's been almost three weeks, and I am still waiting for my moving items
