I dont even want to rate 1 star, but undortunately there's no Zero start provision here. From a highly Very Dissappointed customer.
Very concerning experience with ANZ Bank.

Transactions and scheduled transfers were altered/removed without my knowledge, and payments stopped despite funds being available.
No proper explanation has been provided yet.
This raises serious concerns about account security and transparency.
Demand:
Audit trail of login activity
IP/device access logs
Who changed transfers
Why account marked “ineligible”

ANZ makes it hard for Elderly Customers

ANZ wrote to my parents aged 95 and 93 requesting that they validate their personal details etc despite having had an ANZ Visa card for decades which is paid off every month in full. We tried to do it online but had to call them - they wanted my dad (95) to produce a Drivers Licence (expired 3 years ago) and/or passport (expired many years ago) to validate his identity. They have no idea how to deal with elderly customers and just keep asking stupid question instead of looking to solve the issue in the easiest fashion for elderly customers. They wouldn't accept his Medicare or Pension card over the phone and he had to email it to them....then they couldn't finalise it as it could take time for the email to come through and said they will call my mother on her mobile (which she rarely answers! for fear of scams) to confirm all is OK....what a debacle (close to 30mins on phone). To all in ANZ management you need to work out how to deal with your elderly customers

Customer service centres based in India…

Customer service centres based in India although there making billions in revenue each quarter. Where does the greed stop? Your doing business in Australia, making money through interest from Australiaians so support the Australian economy and hire an Australian based call centre. Every time I've spoken with ANZ it's with someone i barely understand and is rude.

Also, it took me 4 months to go though a credit card application since they kept asking me the same things over and over again. From their online questionnaire then three times over the phone. I don't know if there seeing if their are any holes in my story or just incompetent but it was an utter waste of time. Went with Bank of Melbourne instead and was approved in a few week.

In the 4 months for the credit card application process, i provided the following

1 Year worth of bank statements
2 annual tax returns
6 month activity statement from the tax office
Receipt to show i have no tax debt
One month worth of weekly pay slips

If I could give any less stars I would. So instead of them organising a call with me for my situation they send my details on to a collection agency. When I raised a complaint they did not even resolve the issue.

Disappointing service, no accountability, faceless business banking

I’ve banked with ANZ for years and run multiple businesses through them. My recent experience with ANZ Business Banking was extremely disappointing.
I requested a small $5k business credit card and a $50k overdraft and provided full financials as requested. I was told there was no formal application and that documents would be assessed via email. I later received a brief decline email stating the request “does not service,” with no explanation, no detail, and no indication of what level would be acceptable.
Multiple attempts to contact the Business Banker to discuss or adjust the request were ignored. No call‑backs, no transparency, no opportunity to work toward a solution.
ANZ feels like a faceless bank with no real relationship management. This experience has destroyed my confidence, and I am now moving my business and personal banking elsewhere.

After being a loyal anz customer since my very first pay check as a 14 year old.
So disappointed when i was all of a sudden being charged a service fee for not making enough money after 11 years of being a customer. No communication about this whatsoever, so i decided to close the account. After receiving confirmation that my accounts were closed, i done a $1 transfer test from my new bank to see if it would really bounce back. It didn’t, and i logged in some weeks later after realising & they once again charged me to service the account because they never closed it as i had asked & confirmed so the account is now in the negatives. Seems like a blatant money grab. Now in the process of making sure they make the account zeroed out again after their total incompetence to do 1 simple task of closing the account. DO NOT BANK WITH ANZ. MONEY GRABBING THIEVES.

I have had a very negative experience…

I have had a very negative experience with ANZ. Due to internal errors on their part, my credit score was incorrectly impacted, causing damage to my business. Despite following up multiple times with their case managers, including Dewey Ngan, the issue remains unresolved after over a month.

The delay and lack of accountability has been frustrating, and their customer service is extremely poor. I have now moved to another bank and can confidently say that no other bank I have dealt with has been as slow, unhelpful, or careless as ANZ.

Not very smart.

My wife had to proof her identity she is with the bank for about 25 years. We went the to Gosford banking centre. Few days earlier we had changed the address to our new address. At bank she had to show her photo id which still caried her old address. The manager insisted to put the wrong address on the records. The mail goes now to a wrong address, Pretty dumb.

$1000 STOLEN

I am not a member.
On 25/1/26 I used an IMB visa card in the Carlingford Westfield teller machine.
The screen said PROBLEM WITH CARD. $1000 cash was not dispensed. I tried the second teller. It said. You have reached your daily limit.
My bank statement showed $1000 withdrawn.
When imb imb enquired ANZ said teller daily total balanced. So cash was dispensed. No mention of what their security cameras showed.
It's blatantly clear to me that they would have seen me
Not collect any cash!!!!!
Congratulations ANZ you STOLE $1000 dollars from me.

The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card feels…

The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card feels like a fraud. I got the card 4 months ago, and the points are clearly being accumulated on my credit card statements, but they never show up in my Qantas app.

I’ve already called customer service more than five times, and every time I’m told the same thing — that the points will appear within 48 hours — but that never happens.

What is actually going on? Are all customers being misled? Because I’ve never had this kind of problem with any other company.
Last call was on Thursday 12/03 - Complaint ID is 5890552 saying that I should receive the points in 48hrs, now I just got my new credit card statement showing the points wasn’t released but accumulated again… what is the real issue real? Is someone able to help?

I was recently almost scammed on a weekend into providing my credit card information whilst overseas. I called ANZ and was able within a short time to confirm the attempted scam and cancel the tainted credit card. ANZ not only arranged the issue of a new card but had it courier to me overseas so that I had my new card within the week. Thanks ANZ.

If I could give zero stars I would. They restricted my account because they need more information. Ive been a customer for 20 years. So when you open an account you already give them your information. Logically you can not change your date or country of birth. So they already have that information. And licence number stays with you for life. What more information do they need? It is all up to date. So they bully me by not letting me use my own money. I will not be bullied. The people on the phone won't let you talk. And are like robots reading from a script. They think I'm not being bullied but they're brainwashed by corporate greed.

This bank has the most disgusting…

This bank has the most disgusting policies, appalling customer service. Charge ridiculous fees and I can’t wait til I have the energy to find a branch that is open so I can go in and close down all my accounts. I’m sure there’ll be a reason why I can’t. For example I was a victim of financial abuse and instead of any understanding I’ve been met with unecessary interest and fees and still have an offset account for a mortgage that doesn’t exist. Avoid this bank at all costs.

My account got blocked because they were suspicious of a 10k transaction. Now my family is hungry its been 2 days with no access to my acount. This is dictatorship and no freedom to YOUR OWN money. Don't join whatever you do.

Fraud department is a joke.

Fraud department is a definitely a lazy findings joke.
The team here in Melbourne on Collins Street is a joke.
I submitted online a request for a refund from Picmuse. They came back 3 weeks later via a letter that took a week to arrive at my home. The outcome was unsuccessful. So I sent them another request telling them that I had spoken to someone there and told them I had proof in an email sent to me from Picmuse that I was going to get my refund back. Then I messaged them the same thing. I don't think anyone there do any investigating...they wait a few days and then send the standard letter to everyone who is only seeking a small amount. They don't give a shyt.
