Unfairly charged admin fee $150
Landed in the UK and went to Hertz . Gave my credit card and clean driving licence. Age 37 , licence for 10 years and 0 points.
For an unknown reason , hertz refused to give me a car.
Autoeurop, rather then helping me , charged me $150 fee even though I never got the car . I have a driving licence with 0 points and valid credit cards, there should be no reason I would be refused a car. I subsequently went next door and rented from Europcar directly .
I will dispute this with my credit card company unfortunately which is unfortunate as I have been using autoeurop for many
What’s sad is this was a distressing situation for me at the time having flown 28 hours and without clear reason , I was denied a car. On top of that stress, I have now been charged unfairly for an admin fee. It’s not been a great experience and won’t be using this company again

We are booking ahead of time and this website was easy to use. The price of these hire cars are reasonable. Pickup and dropoff from the same area.

ot a great experience
we had been using hire cars all fortnight via other providers & had no problems
But sadly Auto Europe was not a great experience, I had prepaid it (thinking this would make a smoother process) the wait/que to collect the car was almost an hour, then be told about extra charges not mentioned as compulsory during the prepaid booking (you have to use their insurance ect) & finally I don't consider a Chevrolet Spark (which we got) as similar to a Hyundai veloster (which was on my booking)
Oh drop off was a breeze - thumbs u for that :)
