I was a bit skeptical at first but am so over the moon with the Ayi we work with. It was super easy and they found much stronger candidates than I was able to.

I hire for a lot of difficult roles at a major tech company and prefer to do my own recruiting because I'm just really obsessive about working with amazing people. I was really struggling to source great candidate and reached out a bit out desperation at like 2am panicked about my return to work.

Ayi connection concierge schedule a same day meeting, listened to my needs, and gave me an honest assessment of what was realistic and helped me prioritize my requirements. We actually only ended up meeting with 1-2 candidates. I'm in a smaller market of theirs and it was super obvious the first Ayi we met was going to be a fantastic fit. She's crazy careful with our baby, really engaged singing to him and taking him on walks outdoors. When there is downtime, she's proactively a helpful member of the household - helping us keep the common areas nice and such.

This company is very efficient and reliable. I need it a full time job right away and they came through. I filled out an application and within two days I was already interviewing and got a full time job by the 3rd day. Very happy with their services.

This was a great service when I was in a jam of finding a nanny that met my qualifications. The team was extremely responsive and easy to work with- I could get in contact with someone when it was time sensitive even on evenings and weekends. I would definitely work with them again.

We went through two rounds of selections and hired someone. The team was very responsive and professional. We appreciate they told us best practices that we weren’t aware of, like the market rate, and the speed to hire. I had trouble with some of my mandarin, the team helped me with communication and clarification on the calls. We hired the ayi who can also speak some English so minimizing communication issues. She is proactive and takes charge of our kids schedules and house work (cooking included!) We appreciate her assistance and energy when we have absolutely no time outside work to do other things. Highly recommend!

I have been extremely disappointed in the services provided by AyiConnection. For an expensive "concierge nanny placement service", they delivered terrible results. They might appear professional in their way of communication, but they are very good at making sure that their contract is written in favor of themselves. That means, if the nanny of your choice doesn't work out, it is entirely your fault. You only have three days of the trial period to ensure a nanny is a right fit before they let you off the hook, but sometimes issues arise after the trial period. In addition, as parents, especially during the pandemic, you do not want to keep bringing different candidates to your home just for trial purposes until you are truly satisfied. You trust the agency to do enough work so you don't have to keep trying different candidates at the cost of your own time and risk bringing strangers to your home to your young children. There was no background check done (confirmed by the agency), no previous work history shared with us from the nanny we recently fired.

Keep in mind that their service starts at $500, and if you are like me, who used to post nanny ads in local newspapers on your own, a friendly reminder that this is exactly what this agency does. The cost for them to do business is embarrassingly minimal. As to how in-depth they really interview the nannies, It's reasonable to assume that they only briefly speak to the candidates before connecting them with families. Then it's all on your own to decide whether to use them or not. They make sure that these nannies have legal working status and meet your "basic requirements" on paper so contractually they will have done nothing wrong. There is no personal investigation on the nannies' experiences, background checks, or, out of an agency's decency to charge so much, any efforts to ensure that if the nannies are the right fit for the family. It's mind-blowing that they did not even try.

They place lots of different nannies, tutors, etc. all over the US (according to the staff at this agency, they are busy!) so just imagine how little time they would spend on your search. From talking with the nanny we recently fired who was placed by AyiConnection, she did not know about this agency and only answered their newspaper ad. She was quickly introduced to us and did not know anything about us. She was okay on the phone interview and during the three-day trial. However, we specifically requested someone who is quiet, but this nanny turned out to be entirely the opposite. She was loud, ill-mannered, and respects no boundaries. This is what happens if the agency does almost nothing when filtering candidates for clients. The nannies show who they really are after you officially start their contract. Most importantly, she lacked the basic skills of a nanny and do not follow our instructions. I was shocked to have someone this unprofessional and I would've ended up finding a better one on my own. We also found out later on that this particular nanny was let go from the previous family that only used her for three months; she also had a fallout with another family after one week of working with them. None of this information was shared with us prior to the interview, of course. And they did not interview for my feedback after I let go of this nanny. Imagine she is probably now somewhere bringing more trouble instead of service to another family.

I expressed my concerns even before the nanny started officially with us that this nanny barely met our criteria. When I had issues with the nanny after the trial period, they tried to intervene once and told me that the nanny does not talk loud but just has bad hearing. They promised to "make things right for me", but they convinced me to continue using this nanny. In their original email, they mentioned that they would provide 1-3 free replacements for our family for "whatever reasons". It never happened. They only provided a laughable additional service proposal for a "10% off discount". I found that extremely insulting.

I would caution others who care about their money's worth not to use this agency. The end result is not much different from finding one on your own, or worse. I would also take extra steps to dispute this case and speak with the better business bureau.

Great service, the staff is really responsive and responsible. We found a great Ayi through the Concierge service before we went back home. Highly recommended!

Helps to provide 3-5 candidates based on your requirements. You are responsible for pretty much everything else, including interviewing, discussing pricing and job functions, and signing the contract with the nanny. You can get a three days trial, and there is additional fee for any warranty. Value wise it is very expensive for what you get and how much work you have to do yourself, and there are a lot of policies here and there for anything other than the basics. I’m only giving a 5 star because the team did a good job in having effective and fast communication. Tips and recommendations: 1. Go into details of the policies before you sign up 2. Know exactly what your requirements are for the nanny 3. Ask for vaccine records if you are looking for infant/young childcare, the company does not disclose this information unless you mention it and it can be overlooked.
