I ordered my toothbrush plus additional…
I ordered my toothbrush plus additional heads back in October 2021. I’m still yet to receive anything and I have tried to contact them via email on many occasion. Does anyone have a phone number to call?
I have received my 4 toothbrushes
I received my 4 toothbrushes about a month ago. It's not a scam, they are real. I understood the pre-order process but when you receive emails saying they are on their way and then don't receive them for several more weeks you do start to think it's a scam.
Now they are here they look great. It took a while to get used to the tickly sensation but fine with it now. The 4 speed settings seems a bit of a gimmick and probably unnecessary. However, one has now stopped working properly, it stops intermittently while brushing then runs out of charge. I've charged it 3 or 4 times in a month whereas the others have not yet needed recharging once. I have email support at Bambooi but no reply yet.
Avoid at all costs - £40 out of pocket
I do not understand why, with all this negative feedback, this business does not respond to it's (paying/paid) customer base. I too had a toothbrush delivered that doesn't work. Unless I'm being dim, I cannot find out how to return it and have emailed about the 365 day warranty to return it several times and heard nothing!! With so many people out of work, you would think they'd hire more people to manage customer service, complaints and the supply chain - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!
Dreadful company
Dreadful company. I returned a toothbrush under their 30 day money back guarantee. It was received by them on 21/6/22 but no refund to date. They do not respond to emails, calls or messages and have interestingly turned of commenting on their FB page. Absolutely disgusted and there are many people in the same position it would seem. Their eco clains about this brush are suspect too. Avoid like the plague - I am now £47 out of pocket.

What a bizarre way to run a business
I wanted to get one of these toothbrushes mainly because of their sustainability credentials from Ecovadis. However, looking on their site recently I see the badge they had been awarded is no longer displayed. Looking at these reviews I see others have questioned the legitimacy of the award, so I wonder now whether they had in fact lied about it. I have emailed them a couple of times to get more information but they haven't replied (and I'm not expecting them to judging by what everyone else has said). I can't find any info about the country of manufacture anymore either and I'd really like to know where it's made, but it seems getting information from them is like getting blood from a stone. Highly suspicious, so I won't be proceeding with an order. Further, the Ts&Cs are unlike anything I've seen before - a £20 per item cancellation charge if you change your mind, and warranty voided if you leave a bad review. Just... bizarre. Not only that, they've raised the price by £20 since I was last thinking about getting one.
Greenwashing scam? Do not buy.
I ordered in December 2021. Update number 1 promised late February delivery. On 12th May I received an email saying around half the units were dispatched and the next half would be dispatched that week. I am still waiting.
I am incredibly disappointed that a new "campaign" has begun and I'm still yet to have any response to my emails, I have waited patiently for a product that with very little effort can be found for around £10 on aliexpress etc. I strongly suspect the toothbrushes are a greenwashing scam and they are exploiting the good will of previous eco-conscious customers.
I truly did believe they were having genuine issues they didn't have the experience to manage but the sponsored Facebook ad I have just seen promoting the product has convinced me otherwise. I just hope the bank will accept my payment dispute as I'm sure they'll have as much luck getting a response as I have!
Disrespect for the customer
Update. I successfully claimed the obey back through the bank. Apparently the bank scheme decision does give the vendor 30 days to challenge. It would be pretty ironic if they met this timetable.
Bought a more expensive Pearl bar and I am delighted with it.
I never post critical reviews but I am beyond angry. Like so many people I ordered ages ago in late January. I knew delivery would not be immediate but they did say it would be soon a couple of times in generic emails. That was ages ago. I have heard nothing for months despite email requests for an update.
It’s clear also from these reviews that despatch is not done in the same order as the customers ordered.
Their treatment of customers is so disrespectful. If they had problems with meeting their obligations it would have been better to be open. I would have been sympathetic. As it is I have asked my bank for a refund as I assume my request to Bambooi will receive as much attention as my requests for an update.
Never received after almost 5 months…
Never received after almost 5 months and no response from emails. Fortunately I paid by PayPal so have been able to get a refund.
AVOID!!
Like so many others, I placed an order in February, heard nothing for months, had no replies to several emails. Finally, middle of June I get an email that it is on the way. Still took a while to arrive, but then it finally did. I was so excited about this eco-friendly toothbrush! However, it didn't last long...the toothbrush is absolutely horrendous to brush with, it's like having a mosquito in your mouth!! Gives me me headache and shivers at the same time. The vibration is so poor and the brushing is so bad that I have to brush with a manual toothbrush afterwards in order to get the clean feeling!
Have of course emailed the company several times without a reply, I guess the customer service is non existent in this company.
I really wanted this to be a good product and I have tried everything to get a response from them, but nothing. So I just have to advise everyone to stay as far away from this company as you can, cause all you get is a lot of promises and a piece of rubbish. Most of the toothbrush and its accessories seem to be wood coloured plastic anyway, so not even eco friendly!!
Such a shame! Avoid at all costs!!!
Update: I received an email from this company the day after writing this review. THEY ASKED ME TO REMOVE MY REVIEW!!
They also wanted me to send a video of the vibrations of the toothbrush. Sent the video, again heard nothing. Emailed a few times, no reply. So I stand by my opinion of this company. Unfortunately it seems I have waisted my money, and I'm not the only one...

Pretty sure this is a scam.
They offer heavily discounted eco electric toothbrushes as their main product. They keep saying they are having delivery problems or alike, so it will be one more month of waiting, but 5 months later and it’s gone quiet.
They claimed to have delivered a lot a couple of months ago, but I think they only delivered a few to the customers who were complaining the most.
They rely on green conscious people being very patient and forgiving. They keep on continuing to advertise heavily discounted toothbrushes despite having delivery problems for the last year.
Their accounts don’t look right and the head office is someone’s house. CEO is in early 20s, so potential flight risk.

I am so sorry to write this review, I really am. I so wanted to be able to give this company 4 stars, but I just can't. Like everyone else I struggled getting my orders but after the help of Sophie they got sent. One month in both toothbrushes are faulty. I have contacted support 4 times... No response.
First toothbrush - on button was difficult to push and the brush heads started to swivel around because the mechanism was chewing up the clip inside. When changing the head the whole thing fell out of the bottom and the reason the on button didn't work well was because it was never attached properly.
Brush two - doesn't hold battery for more than two brushes. I have left it on charge for the 1 hour recommended. Come to brush my teeth and it's flat again.
Please Bambooi, you can turn this around! Don't give up but PLEASE answer your customers when they are in need! You built a great reputation last year. But this is killing your business 😔 it's heart breaking!
Bambooi Pre Order Scam?
I placed a pre order in April 2022 for the electric bamboo toothbrush with a view to my order being despatched in June 2022. Money was deducted from my bank straight away. I have emailed them and I have heard nothing! Am concerned this is a scam
Terrible customer service and business practices
UPDATED: My bank has informed me of a refund, which I am grateful for. I have edited this review a little to reflect this update, but the rest still stands as my experience.
REVIEW:
Is this business a scam or just the most horrible businesspeople you could ever encounter? Either, way avoid them at all costs because you will find dealing with them is awfully stressful and useless.
I ordered their eco-friendly toothbrush in March. Got order confirmation on Shopify. After many weeks of no product or information, I sent an email that went unanswered. I then checked their FB page and saw many, many angry customers on there. No one getting their order, and Bambooi refusing to communicate.
Eventually, they did communicate with everyone and they seemed to be shocked, shocked! and horribly offended that anyone could possibly think they were scammers just for not sending out the products after months and refusing to communicate with their customers about their orders. Gee, why would we think that?
So we all waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, in May, I asked on their FB page where my order was. I got a reply saying it was sent out and would be arriving at my house that Wednesday. But Shopify didn’t have a tracking order, there was no official notification of shipment, this was just a reply to my comment on their FB page. It was nothing official. So I asked for a tracking number, no reply of course.
Three Wednesdays later, my item had still not arrived. No tracking number. No nothing. So in June I asked again on their FB page the status of my order. This time they did not reply, but I received notice from the Shopify app the next day that they had cancelled my order and refunded my credit card. When I checked for more information, the Shopify app said “Cancelled order at customer’s request.” That is false. They lied about shipping because they said it would be at my house on “Wednesday,” and that was a long time ago and it has never arrived, and then they lied about me cancelling my order.
On top of everything, after I asked where my order was, they blocked me on FB. They deleted my comments and all the comments of people asking where their products are, and then they blocked me from ever commenting again. I guess they did the same to all of us? That’s really shady.
I don’t think they are a scam or a fake business because I did get a refund, thankfully. But this behaviour is outrageous and actually quite puzzling. Why treat the people who want to give you money in this way?

As others have said placed an order months ago but nothing from them at all, no replies to messages so had to go to paypal to get money back. Weird behaviour in this day and age.

I placed a pre-order for an electric tooth brush in February and to date haven't received it. I have sent numerous emails to their support email without response. I have received generic emails indicating delivery in two weeks and still nothing.
Innovative, sustainable product, lovely design
Like many of the other reviewers here I pre-ordered and did experience the long wait times. This was partly expected due to the nature of pre-orders and partly caused a bit of concern due to the initial silence and worries about a new and untested/reviewed product. However, after the initial silence I received several shipping updates and speedy responses when I got in touch.
The toothbrush arrived speedily once they let me know it was shipped and arrived well packaged. The actual toothbrush is really beautifully designed. It's sleek and really aesthetically pleasing and the teal colour I chose looks great. The handle has a nice rubbery grip and I like the built in timer. This is the first electronic toothbrush I've tried and I'm really impressed by the sustainable credentials as well as the execution. My teeth feel really well brushed. The charger is a contact base stand, so you sit the toothbrush in it without 'plugging in' and it charges. Very well designed. One of the brush heads had some issues as it moved off the brush when it vibrated but I got in touch and this was resolved with a replacement head straight away—all the others work well.
I love the fact you can send back the heads for recycling too. Love the product and the philosophy, looking forward to seeing how this product develops and hope to see it in more widespread use.
6 months and waiting
I placed an order in January with estimated delivery of the order in late February. This date has been delayed over and over again. Apparently some orders have now been sent out but not mine. I have contacted customer services twice with no response. According to reviews on here, others have received their orders even though they ordered after me. Doesn't appear to be any system to which orders are sent out when. I am very dissatisfied with my experience with this company.

I have to say this isn't a scam. I got both of my toothbrushes a week ago and have been using them since. My teeth haven't felt this good in a long while.
The bristles are fairly strong and it feels really good holding the brush in my hand.
I did have to contact them regarding if this was a scam and I am glad that I did. They reassured me that my toothbrushes would be with me as soon as they were available. It seemed an update email had gone to my junk folder as had their response to my enquiry, luckily I spotted the reply before it was permanently removed.
The team have been fantastic, the product is sleek, strong and amazing.
My one feedback to them is to work on the packaging a little so it is more streamline within the box.
I wish them good luck for the future and don't trust all the bad press. Talk to them, send them a message and find out for yourself.
