Faulty product and company don't care!!!

Like many others leaving reviews, ordered my bambooi ages and ages ago and took until May 2022 to arrive, company did an okay job keeping people up to date and I understand issues that had with customs etc. Can't be helped.
I was initally really impressed with the product there's nothing else out there like it as far as I know.
But after a week or so using the product I started noticing the charge only would hold 1-2 days at most despite charging for various amounts of time. Website indicates full charge lasts 8 weeks.
I got in contact with the company and had a response almost instantly and was told I was the first person to report a defective device
I was told by someone called Sophie that a new product would be shipped to me that day...
Fast forward 2 months several follow ups later and no placement has been received and no one replies to my emails
They now have an automatic response on saying if you believe your product is faulty you need to complete a form online for someone to get in touch
Thought this was a bit of a joke considering I've already been told that I would be given a replacement device
Anywho completed the form and what a surprise no one has been in touch.
£50 down the drain
Product that is essentially useless unless you want to charge daily and even bought extra heads too which obviously won't be compatible with any other electric toothbrushes
REFUND MY MONEY BAMBOOI
Considering raising a dispute with my bank to claim the refund but not sure if too much time will have passed

This company appears to be a scam

This company appears to be a scam. I ordered in March, was told it would ship in June. Nothing arrived. I emailed asking for an update which was ignored. I then messaged on Instagram to which I was told it would be arriving next Tuesday (‘with an email with details going out between 19:36 and 19:51’ - almost like it was a joke to see how ridiculous they could make their response). No toothbrush appeared once again and since then every comment I have placed on their social media has been ignored and deleted and they’ve ignored all other messages.

DO NOT ORDER

weeks later still waiting for a response

as soon as I posted my negative review on here Bambooi finally reached out and then POOF! they disappeared again. My countless emails have been ignored. I just want a refund for the toothbrush at this point as I've charged it for over 24 hours (it's still not fully charged) then only lasts for 24 hours. The quality is mediocre at best. Really bad customer service and won't be purchasing from them again.

My daughter ordered a Bambooi…

My daughter ordered a Bambooi toothbrush Bio Max for me in November 2021 as a present. It took til May 2022 to receive. I was really impressed with the toothbrush at first and ordered one for my husband which hasn’t arrived yet, last email update was 19 May. Unfortunately my tooth brush worked for a few weeks and then stopped working, I have tried to charge the toothbrush again but it still doesn’t work. My daughter has emailed a few weeks ago but no reply and I emailed last week and again no reply. So disappointing I was so impressed with this company but I am afraid customers issues need to be addressed. You cannot put you head in the sand and ignore all of these complaints they aren’t going to go away. I am so disappointed.

If I could leave no stars I would

If I could leave no stars I would. Appalling customer service. I have paid nearly £70 and was offered a refund if I didn’t want to wait til October for the product (not made aware at time of ordering in June). Since then I have emailed 4 times and tried to contact twice in the website to get a refund but am being completely ignored. Do not buy from these people!
*Update: within 2 hours of leaving this review I was contacted - great! I received an email and a phone call, both of which threatened me with legal action for defamation of character and said I had lied in my review (I had not). I was told I could be ‘liable for costs’ involved with this. However, following this I happily received my refund 2 days later. Thanks Bambooi! Sorry though, I’m not changing the one star rating as I think the customer service needs a fair bit of work.

Unfortunately this company is a con. I ordered my toothbrush over three months ago and I have had no responses to my emails to find out where my toothbrush is. Don’t order from this company as you will just loose your money as I have done!

A tale of woe

Held off writing a review to allow time to assess the toothbrushes themselves which have arrived.

Unfortunately it's still a tale of woe.

We purchased 2 toothbrushes, 2 packs of heads and a travel case at the end of last year and stayed patient. First told about likely dispatch in about February, then confirmed in May but they never arrived.

Email communications with Sophie were very quick and assuring, but still never received anything.

Sophie then resent the brushes (by this time we were told the travel case would not be available (and we received a quick refund for that). Finally our brushes arrived in June.

Brushes are very effective - really do like them.

Problem is, the recharge stations they came with would not recharge the brushes, which we didn't realise at first as they came precharged and as per instructions we thought we were topping up - but neither actually took a charge.

The lights on the charger constantly flash red - never go green which we were told was normal (but how would you know when it was fully charged?).

Sophie sent another brush and charger out as we thought my wife's had failed because of the lack of recharge (mine ran out later).Luckily this third brush's charger charges mine as well.

Really has been a pretty dire experience. The brushes do arrive, but they really aren't fit for purpose. (I have requested a refund - but it has gone very quiet now - possibly due to the number of others complaining).

I note that there are copies out there - I'm not convinced they are any worse than these.

I'm sorry for this company - but I think they have made a huge mistake backing this product.
They have vastly underestimated demand. Have failed to dispatch using a decent company - I'm sorry, Royal Mail just isn't up to the job - you can't track anymore - only after they have attempted delivery?!

I cannot recommend the company, nor this version of the brush (due to recharging issues)

Make of this company what you will

Pretty much the same experience as most people on here. Placed an order in March, heard nothing for months. Then get an email saying order is now ready to ship and to pay the remaining balance. Now been over a month and no toothbrush and no communication. I can’t say wether this company is a scam or just totally overwhelmed, but either way, looks like I’ve lost my money. Don’t throw yours away! Shame as I really liked the idea.

No replies, no product. Avoid.

Ordered in February, kept being patient with the updates to other customers with February order saying next week each time from April. Heard nothing, no reply to my question on a post, no reply to PM and no product by July. Deleted and claimed my money from PayPal after seeing lots of concerning reviews on Trustpilot. Ordered from Try Suri instead, arrived in 4 days, very happy with this eco toothbrush instead. I would advise to avoid Bambooi.

Ordered 4 toothbrushes in February and…

Ordered 4 toothbrushes in February and extra heads, total £150. Very few email updates then after post on Facebook was advised it was about to be shipped but 6 weeks later nothing has arrived, no response to Facebook posts or emails. Extremely disappointed as have given time and trust but it’s now getting ridiculous.

Another sustainable item in my household

I purchased two electric toothbrushes as part of the pre-launch campaign + the travel charger. Since I had done this before with another company, I knew it would be months before I received it. More or less six months is average, so I can say the items were delivered on time. The company kept constant communication, but unfortunately, a couple of initial emails on the delivery status went to my junk box or were not delivered. Nonetheless, upon fixing this, I was kept updated with any delays. Moreover, the travel charger was not supplied, and I was immediately refunded upon notifying their customer service. As I understand, they are a small company trying to change the world one toothbrush at a time, so I knew it would take time, but I did get answers.

Ultimately, I love it! It has four different settings, and each set comes in 4 intervals of 30 seconds each round. This is an easy (and lazy) way to brush your teeth. All that it has missing is to move on its own.

I highly recommend it, but know that it would not be quick. I used other bamboo brushes whilst waiting for this one, so I already did the switch. If you are patient, go for it, it is elegant, cleans efficiently, and the pre-launch prices are remarkable.

Struggling Service

Update - they have contacted me and returned my money so upgrading the stars from 1 to 3. Not great customer service and only responding when someone threatens to go to the media isn’t great but at least they did respond. They are a v small company but getting supply and demand right from the get go and being able to respond to customers is the most important thing any new business can do.

Ordered and paid for my toothbrush back in February, much like other customers, I have not received the toothbrush. Contacted customer services, no answer/response. Also posted on instagram to ask and when no response, I also posted about the scam. They deleted my posts, then when I posted again, they closed their Instagram account! Next step, I’m contacting BBC Crimewatch to report this business. And Rip Off Britain!

SCAMMER ALERT

Scam artists. Avoid and spread the word. I have been emailing Bambooi for a while now asking where my toothbrush is. They haven't replied (they've taken my money, of course). I asked them on Instagram what the status update is. They deleted that comment. I posted on their Facebook page asking where my order is. They deleted that comment. They have now restricted my access to their Facebook page so I can't post again and have deleted three of my Instagram posts. Their sustainability claims are a load of rubbish as well. Make sure to report them to South Tyneside trading standards department for criminal activity so they don't get away with it.

No product received, no replies.

No product received from order in February, no reply to multiple emails, no reply to online form submissions. Very concerned that I have lost my money. Rather than receiving a reply, last email I received was a marketing email asking me to place another order. Non-existent customer service.

The toothbrush is really nice, BUT……..

The toothbrush is really nice, I wish I could give it stars on it’s own but as I can’t I must rate the whole situation. The charge lasts approx 3 days. No worries I’ll contact the company and they will replace it. No such luck, not even a reply to my messages or phone calls.
Lovely idea, ruined by their customer service

Worst communication/customer service ever

UPDATE: Originally agreed to refund me and then emailed to say they had run out of money and couldn't even afford to post out products, so I would have to wait until all pre-orders were done. Luckily, paid by PayPal and managed to get a refund by making a claim there.

Original review:
Firstly, I do not believe this is a "scam" company as some people clearly have received their products. But it is a company that perhaps has been too ambitious, taken too many preorders and simply cannot fulfil them. Nor do they have any comprehension of what it takes to manage customers' expectations or communicate effectively. Customer support is non-existent.

I however have not received anything since ordering on March 7th. I understood this was a pre-order and I understand that delays can happen, but at no time have I received an apology, notification of delays or even a response to support tickets (other than the standard pre-composed generic response). Their telephone number is also listed within PayPal if paying via that method but there is never an answer on that number either.

We were expecting them in June and I contacted them via the form on their website and got no response. So I emailed on the 20th of June and got an automated response stating orders would be fulfilled by the end of June.

On the 5th of July, I contacted them again as I'd received no shipping information, there was an automated response saying all units would be fulfilled by the 12th of July. That has now passed and nothing received.

At no time have I received any order updates or notifications of delays from Bambooi themselves since ordering at the beginning of March. In fact, the only communication I've received is asking me to register for wave 2 for delivery in September, trying to get me to order more units when I haven't received the first, it's a damn cheek!

So, I've now had to create a claim with PayPal to try to get my money back.

Overall a poor experience, you can't get any worse than not receiving the goods promised and not receiving any kind of update.

If I could leave a review with no stars…

If I could leave a review with no stars I would. Lousy company, too happy to take your money and not deliver. No communication other than automated responses to emails that still promise the earth but couldn’t possibly do what they say they are going to. Now four months since ordering, with no information. I expected delivery in June, which ended almost two weeks ago. No reason given as to why, no communication at all. Promises to deliver by Tuesday lunch time in their automated response, it’s now Saturday afternoon and the Shop app confirms it still hasn’t despatched, so thank you Bambooi, I will be asking PayPal to give me my money back. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. Don’t waste your money.
