**Update from me:

They appear to still be trading. They're certainly still taking orders that it seems they can't actually fulfil. I've been trying to find out whether it's possible to get them investigated. If anyone else has tried this route and has any advice I'd love to hear it, as I'm £40 down.**

I pre-ordered in Jan and have received nothing, no communication or refund. I'm trying once more but I'm not holding my breath.

It seems this company is now telling…

It seems this company is now telling their customers (if you are one of the lucky ones worth a reply) that they are no longer in business and people can't receive their refunds!

Here is some information from Citizens Advice on getting money back if a Company has indeed stopped trading.
Trustpilot doesn't allow links. Go to Citizens advice - If a company stops trading or goes out of business

For those who have actually received their orders but the product is faulty then you can go directly to the manufacturer using the warrenty that Bambooi legally has to provide.

Due to the number of faults reported I can't see how these products are at the most sustainable product on the market.

Please, report this to CAB and Trading Standards asap. I hope you get your monies back.

Definitely a scam company

Along with all other reviewers, I too have to admit that this company is a complete scam. I pre-ordered in March 2022 and by August 2022 I have yet to receive my purchase. I emailed the customer support team asking for a delivery update and an automated response assured me I would receive my product by 12th July. That was 4 weeks ago almost. I have requested to cancel my order and asked for a refund. Thank goodness I paid through PayPal so I am certain of my refund!
Maybe the company started out with all intentions of fulfilling orders, maybe they just can't cope with the volume but a little customer service goes a long way in customer satisfaction and these guys have not provided any. They are still advertising pre-orders online! Never done so before but just reported them to Trading Standards.

DEFINITELY AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!!

Dreadful. Total scam. Ordered a brush in January & despite numerous chases & unfulfilled promises from them, it’s still not arrived. I sent another email on 5th August stating I would go to my card company for a refund if it doesn’t arrive & got the following response yesterday…

‘The company is closing down as we have run out of money because of people going to card companies for refunds. We are charged a £50 penalty per claim so I can understand why we can no longer fulfill pre-order.

Our bank accounts have now been closed and your card company will be unable to take anything from us.’

Ironically, their website is still up & running & you can get as far as the payment page - DEFINITELY AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!!

Absolutely terrible experience- do not go near Bambooi

Absolutely terrible experience, I’ve never experienced anything like it with any other company (if it is even a real company) as with others there was a four month delay in receiving our two Biomax electric toothbrushes - I put that down to genuine misfortune with ‘batteries being held up in customs’ which was what the company eventually told me. Finally they arrived, worked for two weeks then both of them stopped holding charge. Here we are over 6 weeks later, many unanswered emails and dms, many comments deleted off their Facebook page quickly (as noted in other reviews) - I urge people to report the company - I realize now that there is a almost non-existent chance of getting a refund - so £75 wasted, so now I just want to see the company stop selling to other unfortunate people in the future. I wish I’d known these reviews existed before purchase.

I finally got my order of FOUR brushes

I finally got my order of FOUR brushes. Relatively happy with three of them but a long long time to wait for them. I have one that doesn't work, have sent at least 6 emails requiring a replacement. No Response. Hoping this may prompt a reaction

NO PRODUCT, NO SERVICE AND NO REFUND

Like many other customers who have left reviews, my experience has been appalling. I 'pre-ordered' 2 toothbrushes in February and despite receiving notifications I would receive them, and contacting them through their website several times, I am still empty-handed. I feel conned and totally ripped-off by a bunch of scammers. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS COMPANY.

I ordered 2x toothbrushes on 30th…

I ordered 2x toothbrushes on 30th January 2022. And another transaction for toothbrush heads same day. I have never received anything. I contacted this company via Facebook politely asking when my order will arrive on 5th July. And they replied on 15th July saying my order is scheduled to FINALLY arrive on 22nd July. It’s now been another two weeks and nothing has arrived?
I have now sent in a claim to my bank to see if they can investigate for me.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I am now £82 down :( really really disappointed

Don't buy from this company

This is my 2nd review - my toothbrushes finally arrived. My husbands seems ok at the moment but mine won;t charge up. I returned it to Bambooi in early July - it was received & signed for by Bambooi on 14/7/22 but in typical Bambooi style, no response, refund or replacement. I followed up with an e mail & completed their online form but no response.
Don't buy from this company - their customer service is a joke!
Like others on here, when I wrote a bad review before, I was threatened with legal action - that could be interesting bearing in mind their lack of compliance with the various laws to protect consumers.
I think I'll just write this off as a bad experience.
Consumers - keep your money in your pocket & find another eco toothbrush elsewhere.

Feels like one big scam

Like many others I paid back in October, expecting my electric toothbrush in February. It arrived in May without the travel case so I contacted them and was told I should have been refunded £15 for this. I didn't receive a refund and contacted them again. They said they could no longer refund through paypal and asked for my bank details which I gave. I then emailed again saying I hadn't had the refund and now my unit was only holding charge for 2 days. No reply except for the automated reply. I've completed the form twice to say my unit is faulty....nothing. I've contacted them on Facebook, messenger, email and contact form on their website and still nothing. £64 down the drain and a pack of 10 toothbrush heads that I bought useless.

Edited to add I've just made a comment on a Facebook post of theirs and it's been removed in seconds.

£90 down and 9 months later still no order or refund

I pre-ordered 2 toothbrushes and 10 spare heads in October last year. In April, I got an email asking for the full amount - total £90 - and the order would despatch in 2 weeks. Then May. Then June. Then July 6th. Then definitely all back orders out by 1pm on July 18. Numerous phone calls and emails have yielded no responses, not even asking for a refund. And yet they are still asking people for money for preorders. Just what is going on? DO NOT ORDER from this company.

Dreadful service and product

Having been asked to be patient after investing in a Bambooi brush I received mine a few weeks ago. However like so many reviews gave stated my brush stopped working after a week or so and just won't charge at all. I have emailed and completed two "Feedback" forms but after nearly 3 weeks I have heard nothibg3from them. Such a disappointing waste of money and very frustrating.

Additional to yesterday

Further to my review yesterday, I have noticed they have removed mine and another person's comments on their Facebook page and have removed the ability to make comments. Thus they are around but choose not to engage with their customers who are in receipt of faulty goods. I think this needs to be escalated beyond trustpilot as there is no response on here now either.

Total scam

Total scam. Never received pre order (ordered in February) and they don’t reply to my many emails. So upsetting, I was really excited about this product. It’s just a dirty lie.

Order never arrived, emails ignored

Order never arrived, total lack of communication or updates, promises made but not fulfilled. They keep sending emails and advertising on Instagram saying they have a 'limited time' offer of 40% off, but this offer is on constantly. Incredibly dishonest. I requested a chargeback through my bank which was approved and lo and behold, I immediately received an email from 'Sophie' begging me to cancel the chargeback as they 'are in no position' to pay the £50 fee they are charged for this (I believe this £50 fee is a lie). They said they would send my order as soon as the chargeback is cancelled. I replied saying I would cancel the chargeback after they send my order, and guess what? They ignored my email.

Everything about this company is shady. I understand it was a pre-order, but at least keep your customers updated. I wasn't even going to leave a review as they already have tonnes of 1* reviews, but after finding out they are clearly a scam company, I can't let it slide.

No product, no explanation

Joined their fundraising campaign to create an eco friendly electric toothbrush and received a steady stream of updates and apologies for the delay over many months, culminating in the welcome news that my toothbrush was ready to deliver. This was in May 2022. Since then, nothing. I have tried to contact them on their website but haven't heard back. I hope I will at least be refunded my initial investment but fear this is a scam.
