I went yesterday for dinner with my Son at Oxford banana tree restaurant. I ordered Thai Green Curry with Prawns. I have been served the curry without prawns.
Its a joke. If there would be a mystery shopper then thid restaurant wont get even a one star. I told them and then they served me a new plate with same curry with boiled prawns.
There is one more i want to add that the lady with long curly hair, took my wrong served dish into the kitchen and start making it without using hair net. She also had bad habit of asking ," have you finished " when she can see there was a food in a plate. She did the same when i was eating starters.
She should ask, hows the food rather than other weird questions.
I didnt like their prawns crackers as well. They should give in house rather than charging it. If you order they ll charge and they ll serve you again seperately in ur main dish.
I am not at all happy with their service.
Their drinks are 2 for 1 but not a good quality. Mocktail pinacolada was watery and like pineapple juice. Please learn how to make it.
I paid £62 and its not worth. I ll not visit again.

We went to Banana Tree Covent Gardens London last night. The experience was a disaster as a mouse was wondering under our table. Manager and waitress managed to trap it in a cupboard . No compensation to try to save our visit, the simple apology in this case was not enough. A mouse was an extreme event. To finish up, same waitress added some covered, unwanted and unnecessary service charge that I was not aware of knowing our experience was already ruined. Will not recommend this restaurant due to lack of costumer service standards.

First and last time visiting
At the start the service we had was excellent but then the person waiting our table finished their shift and went home.
From there it went downhill
When food arrived to our 4 person table the service was appalling
While one of our party was eating food, food was served over him to another in our party sitting next to him.
This happened twice while serving main meals and side dishes
There was room for them to walk around and serve from the that side of the table rather than lean over customers.
Overall the food did not match up to the descriptions on the menu, the food was quite bland and a clear copy of another popular chain but not reaching the same standards
Busy....what an experience!!
Very busy when we arrived - with no booking, but they managed to find a table free for 1 hr.
Placed our order...and whilst two mains came out and were of good quality and decent portion size, my main meal didn't turn up...
Not one visit by the waiting staff to ask how the meals were or if we needed anything else...
When I went to pay, I explained that I hadn't received my main meal. His response was, 'You should have told us!!!!' Unfortunately its not my place, as the customer, to identify the problem and raise the issue!!
Meal and service charge were deducted from the bill.
Decent food, but if very busy, be prepared not to receive much of a service!! Waiting staff didn't seem too happy - no smiles and work looked stressful for them...

Not a good experience, one meal arrived completely cold, another with chilies and chilli seeds on. I checked the menu, no chilies mentioned.
They took the incorrect meals away.
The manager came and said we would not be charged for the cold meal.
By the time our meals were changed, others in our party had completely finished and the accompanying rice had gone cold.
When the bill arrived, we were charged for the cold meal. When we questioned it, we were told as they re-cooked it for us. It was chargeable. The point that we all ate meals at different times and the accompanying rice was cold didn’t seem to matter. Very disappointing.
Excellent Value For Money
Had Tucker lunch with my brother at the Greenwich branch on stockwell street. Food was delicious. We both had Pad Thai. Customer service excellent. Great value for money.

Excellent food with loads of meat in each dish
We had dinner on Wednesday evening at Banana Tree Wardour St in Soho. The food was excellent. We had the beef rendang and hoi sin duck noodles. Both dishes were delicious amd so well spiced and the portions were huge. So much meat 😋I will definitely be returning.

Do not order on Deliveroo, First time we ordered for 6 people and someone’s meal for 1 turned up, tonight ordered again and 2 main courses were missing, the restaurant when contacted couldn’t have cared less, very shoddy service , will never use them again
Maida Vale site - great service
Had lunch at Maida Vale branch. Prompt professional service. Delicious selection of food, great staff, Steve was attentive and friendly. Food was hot and full of flavour and spice. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend
Don’t go there if you have allergy , and it’s not worth the money you are paying
I told them that I have shellfish allergy, and when I ordered there was prawns crackers with the dish without announcing that and no mention of it on the menu.called them to ask about it and they apologised and said they will change the dish for me.Thankfully my allergy reaction wasn’t bad enough to go to hospital. At the end they told me that they will not charge me for that dish but they will charge me for the 1st wrong dish, ridiculous. And to add they charged me extra 12.5% charge service without saying this is an optional and I could choose not to pay it. Never go there again

Came in as a lone customer, order taken… hour later a table of multiple order came out before me… if waited 40 mins already. Walked out as it was embarrassing service. Shameful as a friend and family of the chain. Do better. Reigate branch
Poor experience at the new Cardiff restaurant
Went to the Cardiff restaurant for what was meant to be a celebratory meal. However, we received terrible service throughout our stay. We found it incredibly difficult to get the attention of staff. It took us 10 minutes to get the bill at the end of our meal and our server blatantly ignored us. The food we received contained out of date vegetables and the slaw was way past it’s used by date. I would recommend reading these reviews before visiting, I wish we had.

Lovely restaurant but I want to pay cash, and they’d accept but wouldn’t give you change.
I had a £27.50 bill and 2 x £20 notes. They said I could pay £20 cash and the rest card. But what if someone didn’t have card? My mum wouldn’t have? Nothing advertised to say they don’t accept cash.

We ate at the new Banana Tree in Cardiff. Liv was our server and was very friendly. They catered for my nut allergy really well. The 30% student discount is a great deal. Food and drink were lovely and so I will definitely be back.
