Superb from start to finish
We were looking for a used car and had seen a Peugeot 3008 on Baylis’s site. We went in, we were warmly greeted, not pressured in any way. We were left to look around before talking to Dale Hope-Wilkinson and Clare Cowlishaw-Hearn to sort the detail. From start to finish it was friendly, professional and so easy. The car we liked had to be brought from another dealership, and arrived 2 days earlier than expected. Great car, very good price, superb service and attention to detail. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you Clare and Dale.
Patronising and sexist experience
I’m happy with my car, but the actual experience of buying it from Baylis was honestly so patronising . As a young woman buying my first car, I felt like the salesman didn't take me seriously at all. When I tried to negotiate the price, he actually showed me a joke video of a badger mocking a customer for asking for "wiggle room." I highly doubt he would’ve done that to a man, or if my dad (who works in the car industry) had been there to accompany me instead of my mother.
It was so uncomfortable; he kept trying to bypass me by making eyes at my mother to get her to intervene, until she had to tell him she wasn't the customer. As soon as he realised his "friendly" act wasn't working and I wasn't backing down, his mask slipped. He got visibly annoyed and started making subtle digs that suggested I was difficult just because I wanted a fair deal.
I eventually got about £200 off by staying firm, but I felt like I was being judged for even trying to negotiate and feel like had I been treated different I wouldn’t have given up as soon. To make it worse, once I’d paid and was literally driving off the lot, I noticed a chip in the windscreen. I’m glad I stood my ground, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to any young woman who wants to be treated with actual professional respect instead of being teased and talked down to.

I bought a second-hand Suzuki from Baylis Hereford. When I got home I noticed the rear-view camera was not working properly and I could not use it.
I contacted Baylis Hereford and I returned the car and they fixed it and apologised.
They should have checked it was working properly before it was sold.

Great customer service
Great customer service, Dan was calm, knowledgeable and polite throughout the transaction. Having visited 2 major dealers in Cheltenham earlier in the day, the sales people seemed only interested in talking on their mobiles whilst watching us. Even upon entering the showroom, looking at a car a salesperson walked passed us ignoring us completely. Dan at Baylis approached us in a really calm manner and was very helpful and interesting, resulting in a car sale. Thank you Dan

Delighted with the car and with the overall service
Bought our first second hand EV car from Peugeot Baylis Cheltenham last week (Peugeot e208). The salesman, Rob, was the best car dealer my wife and I haver come across. Absolutely no pressure, fully informed, genuine. Really helped allay our anxieties around purchasing an ev for the first time, and made sure all was okay with us afterwards. The car was sound, and well presented when we picked it up, (although my wife thought they could have cleaned the windows inside better! And had to do a bit of extra cleaning - she is the 'Queen of Clean' after all!)
We had to make a few calls regarding the payment and the customer service from Clare was also excellent.
We are delighted with the car and with the overall service from Rob & Baylis.
