Where's the Customer Service?

The telematics device will never give you anything more than Average driving no matter how well you drive and don't expect to reach anyone at customer service.
There's bad service then there's Bell, which is non existent.

A NIGHTMARE!

A NIGHTMARE!
My car had light damage and scratches and they found it as a write-off without even communicating this to me.
Every time you want to get hold of someone so you can ask about your claim you have to wait hours on end just for someone to answer and when they do they tell you it's a different department and give you endless apologies.
It's been 2 weeks since my car accident and I have days when they don't even answer the phone.
I asked for a callback and it never came.
Dont put your hopes up to get a courtesy car, its never going to happen even if you had it on your insurance policy.

I wish I read all these reviews before getting insured with them. This is by far the work experience I have ever had with a company. I have waited for about 14 hours in 4 days on hold just for them to apologise and tell me to expect a call from them soon.

Awful

One of the worst insurers I have ever dealt with. It should be possible to give them a rating of lower than one star.

The plug and drive is assessed using a spurious and nebulous methodology that expects me, inter alia, to spend less time behind the wheel. When I questioned their metrics, I was told that the assessment is non-negotiable and that not driving the car will not help me improve my score. Logic fail or designed for me to fail?

Terrible customer service that takes an age to reach and thinks repeatedly apologising is a viable substitute for a substantive explanation or an attempt to fix a given problem.

In trying to put through a claim, they are detached and completely hands off. I’m dealing with all parties except them. Back to trying to reach someone to discuss things with and that endless holding music…

Better off by far elsewhere.

Sono in italia in vacanze a non ho abbastanza tempo di ordinare una carta nuova la mia non funziona e mi sto esaurendo er trovare un modo er trasferire soldi Nell altra carta che funziona ho cercato aiuto nell wed site e sto aspettando una risposto d 6 ore nessuno risponde l telefono nel sito o nell app sono bloc in Italy per colpa d queste cose il peggiore servizio del mondo

I have been with Bell insurance for 2 years now and so far have found them to be great.

I had to have a plugin drive for my first 6 months and then returned the device, although I had returned it I was charged a fee because it was over the return date, I had kept my receipt of postage and the customer service team refunded me the money as it was a postage delay not fault of neither myself or Bell insurance. They sorted it very quickly and did not hesitate to refund me the money for fee.

I have just called bell insurance to renew and spoke with a really lovely young lady who managed to get my renewal price down to the cheap quotes I had online. So I am now on my 3rd year with Bell insurance.

So far I have had a great experience and find their website easy to use, the renewal reminder emails are always in plenty of time, the customer service numbers are easy to get through too I 100% recommend this insurance provider.

Just don’t.

Just don’t.. i had the plug in and drive fitted only to be toId hadn’t plugged it in, which is complete nonsense as i had multiple emails to confirm it had in fact been working correctly. And had a further £500 that would be taken out of my account with out authorisation. By reading the reviews it seems that this is a common occurrence. Just wished i had read them before hand.

Avoid

Avoid , tried everything they could not to give me a courtesy car, even though i am fully compensated . The collision was not my fault, it s been 2 weeks now , no car no funds , everytime i phone i am out on hold for 1 hour then i just give up . Emailed them

Do not get their black box insurance

Took out this insurance for my son, he only passed his test in June so I got the black box. Biggest mistake ever because what they don’t tell you is even you score well for your driving (which my son does) they mark you down for actually driving at all and for the time you drive. What is the point of of having a car and insurance if they penalise you for driving. My son consistently has a low school because of where he drives (about two miles away at sixth form) and when (he occasionally drives late when he finishes his part time job as a waiter). It’s gotten so I’m telling my son not to drive to keep his scores up which is ridiculous. Avoid their black box insurance at all cost.

Just be careful where you park/ what time you drive

Passed my test in November and started my plug in and drive insurance shortly after. Been driving now for a month and have had my first performance review and scored 44/100 , and what I didn’t know was it penalises you on where you park if it’s not named address on insurance.. but what about work .. and going out . Surely defeats object of passing driving test if it scores lower for driving at all where else am I supposed to park when going to work or school run.. but communication has been okay got through to them via the chat online function and had no issues

Nightmare no fault claim

Been with Bell for 10+ years, had a no fault accident in January and they passed us to Auxillus a 3rd party accident management provider, absolute nightmare. Body shop ignored insurance assessor and manually repaired rather than replace panel, Auxillus took 3 months to find another body shop to do the job properly, Bell refused to get involved. Just renewed insurance with another provider.

Bell force customer to addtional charge without strong reason.

We try to return the drivers record box since first adopt service to Bell however we posted the box by Royal mail service however the Bell staff claim no received anything which "additional charge" $50 GBP in total. It is no made sense to charge customer for Bell Internal logistics mistake. It is totally unfair. It is recommend all of us select another provider instead of Bell.

This company should close down I spent six months driving with a little black box monitoring every bit of my driving I put up with it thinking it’s alright it’ll bring my premium down boy was I wrong my renewal was priced at the same amount for last year luckily I read the terms and conditions to spot the policy is on automatic renewal so I called and had this removed otherwise they would’ve taken the same amount out of my bank without notice to me I wouldn’t use bell insurance ever again luckily I had no accidents as I doubt it would have been able to help me going by other reviews DO NOT Use THIS COMPANY EVER

Black Box SCAM!!!

Black Box SCAM!!!! AVOID THIS INSURANCE!!!
We installed a blackbox in time only to be told it wasn't properly installed and charged a huge sum of money without our consent. After complaining in August, and receiving no proper response, we have just triggered the Ombudsman as this seems like a scam.

The customer service is very poor.
There was very little communication to remind me that my policy was coming to an end and automatically renewing- they did not check with me if I wanted to renew my policy- which I did not.
I have been trying to find out how much it would cost to cancel my insurance and have found the information on their site is inaccurate. When speaking to an agent using the online chat I was told there was an additional cost involved. When asking what this cost was it took the agent 40 MINUTES to answer my question. It seems they intentionally waste your time and ask more questions with the threat of charging you even more money if you don't check the information they are telling you is correct.

In essence, I asked a straight-forward question to be met with the threat of additional charges and intentional confusion.

This is not how good insurance brokers operate in 2022.

BlackBox Pointless

When i filled out the info on comparison site it didnt give me option to put i park my car in a communal secure car park and instead closest option was outside home, as all other options werent viable. I tried to sort this out through chat and they were absolutely useless. I have a black box as had only recently passed my test, and wish i had just paid the extra £5pm to not have one. My score never ever goes above 48 out of 100, despite other scores being good. Get rated for when, where and how you drive, i rarely drive at night and make regular weekly trips into town or to go shopping at my local supermarkets (which are 10-20 minutes by bus if i were to go on public transport, so not too local, but take 5-8 minutes to drive to them) Got told to also not park outside my partners home at night which is not often given he works away (so in other words dont stay over at his ever) as that reduces my score as my car is more at risk apparently! How the heck can parking my car outside another home thats im at be more of a risk, especially when it is in a quiet country village?Even when i have stayed there for a few days my score is exactly the same range as it is when i am parked near my own home (in the communal secure car park!) Utter bs if you ask me. Note, I am also registered disabled, which they knew about, and asked how i could improve my score as at that rate my premium would never go down, i was told not to make "so many" short journeys. WTH so if i am unable to walk and chose to drive to my local "corner" store/post office (which would usually take 10-15 minutes walking) &/or go to my local supermarkets, then i am being penalised for this as they are classed as short journeys ie penalised for being disabled and unable to walk what they class as short journeys!!My feedback every single week is EXACTLY the same, word for word "whats good" = same, "whats improved" = same, "what can you improve" = same! I go to exactly the same places week after week, park in the same places week after week etc etc so how the heck can my feedback be exactly the same yet my scores fluctuate from between 44 & 48?? At once point my car didnt get used for a little over a week yet my score was very low ie 46!Scam, at this rate i will never have lower amount but i will definitely be removing once the 6 months is up (an option to do once had the black box for 6 months) & i wont be renewing, if to take it off now theyd want a disconnection fee, say what? they didnt even fit it, they sent it to me and i installed it so wth!!...they are part of Admiral and even when i had temp insurance through them before i got my car (a Kadjar) i was cheaper per month on an Audi A5 than i am with this - yet have the same named driver on my policy as i did the A5! shocking

Good Customer Service

Good Customer Service, I bought an insurance from them last Saturday, then changed my mind after reading all the bad reviews and had concerns on the way the plug would work. I phoned the customer service on the next day (Sunday) and they passed me to the concern service which was very efficient and canceled my policy. As per the terms of the contract I should have been charged £25+the key (which was not sent yet) but they waived the fee and reimboursed the full amount. Cannot comment on the insurance itself but the customer service was great!

Never received the plug whatever they…

Never received the plug whatever they were going to sent! The claimed it has been sent, but it wasn't. They said I will be charged for the device I've never received. Then they said I had to pay premium for insurance since I don't have the plug! Ended up paying twice as much.
