Claiming process with Bikmo was simple…
Claiming process with Bikmo was simple and straightforward. They ask you for the relevant documentation, and support you during the whole process to make it as good as possible, given the bad circumstances (getting robbed sucks). I totally recommend them.

Smooth and hassle-free
I empathise with the other reviewers who mentioned issues like IVA, e-bikes, etc, but you should have read the IPID and all the documents given when you purchased the policy.
My experience has been really positive. My bike got stolen last week, I reported it during the weekend and provided a crime reference number. Then:
- Monday I was told by Bikmo they're processing my claim and have asked me for a few more details.
- Tuesday my claim was sent to the underwriters.
- Thursday morning I received a cash settlement figure that even covered the lock that the thieves destroyed. I was told that the money will be in my account within 3 days.
Update: I received the money Thursday evening!
Overall a hassle free experience and I'd definitely use Bikmo again.

Look what you said in email! But never received I've been paying you 13 months insurance you made the claim failed because IVA and sma print not available for customers in the first page too customers pay then have accident then you start your evil policy, you should think about it, take a second and re consider what you have said.

We've only just heard back from the underwriters about the claim bein voided due to an IVA and e-bike eligibility.
This has been cancelled back to the date of inception and any over payments will be refunded within 5-10 business days)
Bikmo insurance the best layer ever , they took the money till they new to attack me on the small prints , and they not fair company and they not genuine , the people most of them writing super reviews , they know them ,
This company they built for scamming customers not looking after them.
That's why they have a lot of money.

An absolutely disgrace of a company
An absolutely disgrace of a company , their anti disability policy is something that's needs to be investigated! I am directly complaining them to British and EU trading standards! They have not paid out in my claim where it's proved by the law that my bike was stolen! And they have continued to steal money out of my account afterwards !! Avoid avoid avoid !

BIKMO Insurance – Absolutely Brilliant!
I’ve been insured with BIKMO for four years, and when my bike was recently stolen, they went above and beyond. I genuinely thought I'd only get a fraction of my bike’s worth because it was used, but to my delight, BIKMO checked the current price and provided enough for a brand-new replacement. Tom, who handled my claim, was incredibly helpful and professional every step of the way. I’ve already recommended BIKMO to all my friends – this team truly knows how to look after its customers. Five stars all the way!

They don't have a clue what they're doing.
My Ebike has stopped working over the course of several days, I can't find a obvious reason for this and as it seems to be beyond my ability to fix I contacted bikmo under the homes that they would either provide a replacement, a temporary bike for work (as I pay extra for work coverage) or cover the cost of repairs.
I received an email from Hiscox, bikmos underwriters, claiming that they do not cover electrical issues, mechanical damage, wear and tear or faults. This wording implies they do nothing for the bike. Now the meer fact that I do not know what the issue with my bike is and the fact that they can claim an electrical fault (which I'll add is not written in the not covered section) without having a mechanic look over my bike proves that they are nothing more than scammer. A mechanic couldn't tell you what was wrong from a photo so how can a completely unqualified desk Jockey?
Bikmo have been of absolutely no help at all and not even had the mere decency to support me to have a temporary bike to use for work.
Please do not use bikmo as they have no intention at all of supporting you when you need them. They're a typical stereotype of an insurance company, they'll take your money and leave you high and dry when you need them most. Thank god it wasn't something more serious like personal injury as they absolutely would screw their way out of their responsibilities and ignore you.

This is my favourite bicycle insurance company.
I would like to give a shout out to Bikmo bicycle insurance.
Friendly staff, eager to answer questions & help you understand the difference between bicycle insurance and regular insurance.
I did my research before choosing Bikmo, what sold it to me, was they were the simplilist & came with no smoke mirrors, or tricks up their sleeves, very reasonable and fair terms and conditions, very clearly laid out easy to understand and not trying to fool anyone with word gymnastics.
They provide a "fair handshake" straightforward, simple, clear to understand, & a fair fee towards the cost of bicycle insurance, Vs what your covered for.
I think I would recommend them. I have bicycle insurance, with the hope I will never need it but of course I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!

I want to thank the Bikmo team for a swift and positive resolution of my claim as I was left frustrated for the theft of my electric bike, the team was so proactive and once they got all the right documents and information, they approved it in no time and I was please with they service, highly recommended it, a very professional and serious insurance company.

I had to make a claim after my bike was stolen. Bikmo were slow to process it and could not give me a reason for the delay. I spent many hours over the course of over a week contacting them to ascertain what was happening. They then passed my claim onto a Loss Adjusters who took over the 3 working days I was told it would take them to contact me. I was then told I had to wait for over a week before they could conduct an interview with me. Because of the delay I had already incurred and because I was vocal, they were able to have an interview with me within 5 days. Ultimately my claim was unsuccessful. I challenged it and it wasn’t declined again on grounds which I do not think are reasonable.
I found the Bikmo staff friendly and understanding but all together I spent hours in my working day finding out what was happening. I felt there was a lack of transparency and this, alongside the severe delays, left me very anxious and frustrated. I would not recommend Bikmo. I am still waiting to hear back from an email I sent on the 15th Oct. I have been charged for the two months on my policy following my claim. I assumed this would have stopped as I had made a claim.

Made a claim after a fall had caused damage to my fork, helmet shoes and head unit.
Once Bikmo had all the correct documents at hand then the claim was reviewed and settled to my satisfaction in the space of a week.
Very professional along with friendly communication by all staff.

Excellent customer service
Unfortunately I had to make a claim. I contacted by telephone first where the customer service was excellent, fully explaining what I needed to fo. The claim form was straightforward and acknowledged within a day. After I provided further information as requested the claim was promptly agreed, all within 2 weeks. I was kept up to date throughout. 5 star customer service, would definitely recommend.
