Birkdale have gone above and beyond to ensure we got the finished product we set out to get. The Durapost fence is great, and I’m very much looking forward to not having to paint a fence this year.

Great product, exemplary customer support.
As with other reviewers I cannot commend enough the way they [Birkdale]have dealt with my problems.
Faded gravel boards caused by a manufacturing process issue were resolved without a fuss and with exemplary customer service.
Nicole at headquarters and Matthew who replaced my panels are the sort of people that make good companies great.
The Durapost product itself is excellent and within the scope of the average diy customer.
I do not hesitate to give my full endorsement of the company and its ethos.

Gravel board Replacement
I contacted Birkdale through their customer services agent Fernlie regarding a discolouration issue with our gravel boards. Fernlie was excellent in arranging new products and also identifying that the Durapost caps had also faded and would require replacement. From delivery of the products to installation Birkdale and all concerned were excellent. I believe I have experienced a level of customer service which is rare these days. I also have to mention the installer Matthew Ching. His quality of work, communication regarding attendance and actual work ethic were outstanding. The attitude of both Matthew and Fernlie is very refreshing although if I were in their positions I'd definitely be asking why each are called upon to field issues that are clearly & repeatedly production quality issues!?
Bendy keys...
I was very pleased with my GateMate lock (supplied by Birkdale) on my wooden back gate. It seemed to work very well. However, I was rather horrified when one of the supplied keys inexplicably bent. No doubt caused by one of the key-holders trying to pull the gate shut with the key. Nonetheless this is not something I have ever experienced before so I would advise any new buyers to be very, very careful how you use your keys!
Poor service Birkdale.
Had reason to contact these regarding a damaged ‘keep’ for my gatemate lock however I spoke with an extremely unhelpful and rude customer service person who said I could not purchase a replacement from them and would not offer any help other than telling me to go to the retailer I purchased it from despite me saying the retailer was no longer in business. A very poor experience from a company I thought better of.
Durapost Urban Fence Panels.
Bought Durapost Urban fence panels made by Birkdale. Installed per manufacturer guidelines. These have warped and discoloured within 18months. Thought these would last for years but already look old and tatty. Cost double a normal fence, dont bother. Unfortunately I didn't register my warranty with 30days so nothing can be done. Donr waste your money.
Outstanding service and lock
I am blown away by this company, I ordered a gatemaster lock, lovely solid piece of kit but unfortunately when I came to fit it a part was missing. I phoned the helpline, sent them an email to confirm what was missing and within 24 hours the missing part. Outstanding customer service!
We had an issue with all our fence…
We had an issue with all our fence panels. Bianka dealt with immediately and sent replacements with Birkdale fitter Matthew. He was extremely courteous, polite and couldn't be more helpful. He replaced our panels and the finish looks fantastic. Thank you so much.
Professional and helpful customer service.
I initially had a issue with a long throw gate lock I purchased. So I reached out to Birkdale customer service, which was pretty much swift to reply and very much dedicated to resolving my issues. Soon after the issues I had was made clear, Birkdale immediately send out a replacement unit, that arrived the following day. This is truly exceptional customer service. Most importantly to make mention of,is that I did not even purchased the lock directly from Birkdale but rather another online market place. Yet Birkdale was very ready to set things right, exceptional! Just goes to show me how serious and dedicated they are to customers satisfaction. Communication and resolution spot on. Overall a wonderful customer experience. Cheers for a wonderful experience Birkdale, much appreciated.
Replacement Panel
We had issue with one of our panels and contacted customer services about the problem. This was dealt with by Fernli. She dealt with the matter in a re-assuring manner by arranging a replacement panel and necessary fittings, plus the delivery and a date when the work would be done. We would agree with a previous reviewer that Birkdale customer service is very rare to come across these days. Matthew the installer deserves a medal as he replaced the panel on the hottest day of the year so far without one word of complaint. Our thanks go to Fernli and Matthew, we would have no hesitation in Recommending Birkdale,

It's always very straight forward to order and deliveries are punctual and rarely have any issues.

I bought some garden lights and unfortunately one became faulty after a couple of months. I contacted Birkdakle and they arranged for a replacement to be sent out immediately, no questions asked. Really good customer service and the lights are fantastic.
Top Class Customer Service
I purchased some Birkdale garden lights last October from a DIY store. They are great, but one developed a fault and stopped working in March, whilst still under warranty.
The DIY store wasn't very helpful and said they were unlikely to offer a replacement, so I contacted Birkdale directly. Kitty, from customer service, was brilliant. Once I had sent them proof of purchase and a photo of the faulty light, I was sent a replacement within 24 hours. I'm impressed.
I won't be back
I dealt with birkdale for 25 years,ordering boxes of hinges/latches etc,then 10 years ago,out of the blue they notified me saying they could no longer supply my needs,I would have to take my trade elsewhere,reason being at 5 to 8 hundred pounds a time it wasn't enough(gready bas#@#s)so I did,and havnt looked back,plenty more fish😂then today got a cold call from a rep,offering duraposts for £21+vat,you couldn't make this up😂😂nice try birkdale,i'me out
