fish oil supplements under pharmacist review indefinitely
Ordered fish oil supplements. For myself. Not pregnant or on any other medications. It’s been “under pharmacist review” now for days and days. The fish oils are not prescription and as a dietitian myself I’m so confused why this even requires review considering the upselling of supplements pharmacists and pharmacy techs have been at (unethically in my opinion) for years where evidence for same has been patchy at best. Oh yeah and they were happy enough to dole out weight loss shakes too without so much as a consult!! Within my order is nappies and wipes so not knowing when it will dispense means I’ve to go off now and buy elsewhere. Really annoying service won’t be using again
Very poor experience with boots.ie
I placed an order with boots.ie. When the estimated delivery date had already passed but the status of the order was still at 'processing', I followed up with customer service. I received an email telling me to wait another 7 days (not including bank holidays), there was no explanation as to the reason for the delay or nothing to assure me that my order would be expedited just simply wait. I then received another email to inform me that 2 of the items I had ordered had been removed following pharmacist's review (one product was a facial cleanser, the other a body lotion?). I wouldn't mind but the only reason I placed the order online was because I had a gift card that I tried to use in-store but was informed that the gift card could only be used online!!! Why the hell would you have a gift card that could only be used online and not in-store??? I eventually received my order several days after their quoted delivery date. Today I tried to use the remaining balance on the egift card (because they cancelled 2 items there should have been money left on the card) but it said that the balance of the card was empty. So even though they cancelled 2 items from my order I was charged for them anyway. I also checked my banking app to see if I was refunded the balance onto my debit card but I was not. I've sent an email to their customer service but I'm not hopeful, I'll probably just get back some generic response. Very disappointing boots.
Terrible customer service - beware '3-for-2' deals
A somewhat large order placed on a Tuesday sat under "pharmacy review" for 10 days even though the only thing vaguely medicinal was a pack of Disprin.
After "pharmacy review" they decided they didn't have two of the ordered items - one of which was part of a 3-for-2 vitamin deal, so that deal was null and void. It still hasn't shipped after 10 days.
This is not the first time that a 3-for-2 items has mysteriously been unavailable after "pharmacy review"- negating any savings. It's not rocket science - it's either in stock when the order was placed or it isn't.
Customer service regarding e-mailed complaints consists of what appear to be rote replies generated by AI.
The CS telephone number rings out before dropping to a message that says "we're not here and you can't leave a message"
Note - I initially posted this on Trustpilot UK as even the link CS sent me went to the wrong website.
dispensing Staff in Tullamore…
dispensing Staff in Tullamore frequently get the pick and match order wrong (just repeat list of packets of drugs). Firstly cannot accept their errors or apologise for their mistakes . Humble Staff in Argos Amazon etc rarely get their orders wrong. However, fully qualified sloppy pharmacists ( less than humble ) usually get pick and match order wrong! Then insist you wait, and then take packets of drugs that you have already said you do not need this month! Terrible attitude assuming customers are fools

Boot poor customer service and GDPR nonsense

I ordered eye drops on line for my elderly mother. My email and my debit card paid for them. I put her name and address on the order so they would be deliverd to her. They did not arrive. The chat bot they have allows limited details. They came back to me and advised due to GDPR they could discuss the order with me.
When I rang them I was told the same. It doesn't make sense that my email and debit card paid for the order and I cannot get details of the order when it wasn't delivered but they use my email to confirm the order eta. I was told if my mam was unable to speak I would need to provide a power of attorney to get information regarding the 27euro eye drops. It is very frustrating and does not make sense.

worst experience.... they don't give satisfaction, they cancel items randomly, they don't respond to emails. If you can avoid it... avoid it
Dont honour advantage points
Great range of products but this is my third time to go to place an order and the loaded advantage card points are not honoured at checkout.
I had to contact them twice in the past about this, both times customer service denied i was entitled to the points until i screenshot the loaded offer. Only then were the points allocated to the card.

Boots took my money but did not send…
Boots took my money but did not send the products, 2 orders in a row. I have spent an absolute fortune with boots over the years. On one order recemtly they just didn't send a moisturiser and after complaining they came back 3 times saying that they had packaged it correctly, in other words implying that I was lying and it's my problem. I had another huge order, and in a buy 2 get one free deal they sent me only 1 of the 3 items. Again I complained and the same thing is happening.
I am out about 200 euro over these 3 items, which I cannot afford and when I contacted customer service they are saying that the decision came from another department and they cannot overrule that, such bshit.
I explained all of this to Boots customer care but the reply was always the same. It was delivered to you and your complaint has failed. I am exhausted from all of this and I would have expected better service from such iconic company such as Boots.
On saying I received it and that my claim failed is saying that I am a liar and and a cheat. This has been the worst experience of my life .I will never ever buy from Boots online, It is the worse customer service I have ever received. I have lost €200, but it is not just the money, it is the total lack of empathy shown by Boots to who I have been a loyal customer for years.

Was in Boots Sligo recently. I got the feeling they must be closing down soon or something by how the staff acted so insanely. Needless to say I wont be back to endure the Madams there or their gross nonprofessional lack of competence. Good riddance Boots.
Took my money but did not send the product
I am not here to write a review, simply to explain my experience with Boots Ireland on line sales. It is up to the reader to decide whether this is useful or not.
I purchased a men,s Braun 9+pro shaver for €349.I paid my money and subsequently received a e mail to say that it would be delivered on a certain day. On that day my package arrived. I opened it to find that inside Boots Box was another box (Braun Shaver official box) sealed with a piece of sellotape both sides. I open it, only to find that it only contained a brush, a leaflet and a charger but NO shaver.(Brown box indicated that it came from Boots Dundrum Town Centre)
I contacted Boots Customer Care and was told to send images which I did within an hour of receiving the package. I received an e mail later to say that I would get a refund with 3-5 days, but first I would receive an e mail to say if they agreed or not to give me a refund. I did receive an e mail saying that I would not be getting a refund as they felt the goods were received by me. Obviously, I was not happy with this and so began an email to and fro for the next week. Each time they said my claim was not justified. I have just received another reply just now saying that there was nothing they were going to do.
On Saturday last (I thought I was getting a refund) went to Boots in Childers road in Limerick and purchased the shaver for the same amount. Interesting part was the box for the shaver was on display with no shaver inside. You had to hand it the assistant who then retrieved a box and shaver from their store room.
I explained all of this to Boots customer care but the reply was always the same. It was delivered to you with the shaver and your complaint has failed.
Bottom line is, I am exhausted from all of this and I would have expected better service from such iconic company such as Boots.

I made an online purchase over a week ago and its still says pending. When placing the order it said delivery by 19th February. It's now the 21st and I've no idea when or if they will decide to ship my order! There's no customer service no one to contact...so I'm just left in limbo. Obviously if I'd have known I would have just went to an outlet. I can tell you now I won't be near a boots going forward. Don't offer a service if you can't fulfill it?

Terrible floor manager
Terrible floor manager. Returned mascara that was dry and devoid of product. Bought it last week 26 euros Was extremely rude and didn’t understand the concept of a faulty product. She described herself as a manager !

I visited Boots Carlow and would like to say thank you to Sandy for the wonderful customer service I received last Saturday. Nothing was too much trouble and Sandy was so knowledgeable,pleasant and helpful a real asset to your company.
I am a regular customer
I am a regular customer approximately 5 years. Enough is enough! I cannot fault the staff and the pharmacist. The Customer service and care is exceptional. Prescription is never ready! Waiting time too long! I never receive texts to say that my prescription is ready. Shame on the senior management not providing adequate staffing levels to cater for the demand of their customers needs and care.There are plenty of other pharmacies in the area. Goodbye
Avoid online purchases, you may not get them!!
I have no idea when I order items online that I get an email from Boots saying that a pharmacist has reviewed my order and removed items? There is a number to call the pharmacy for further information, which rings out, every time! ( called on eight different occasions…same result..nada! First time was shampoo, second time a face cream? Non prescription items!? There is no way now to telephone customer services so you have to email….received three emails so far, all from different people and none of them answering why my items were removed? Very frustrating and incredibly poor attempt at customer services. Perhaps it’s a language issue?
