The Britannia Coin Company Avis 

Found this company via the YouTube channel and Christopher Collects who is employed by the company. I am happy with the coins delivered but I found the prices a tad steep. Even the highest mintage £2 coins have a substantial mark up. Had I conducted a more thorough research on comparable sites, I may have hesitated to pay such prices. I am hoping that in a few years time there may be some profit should I care to sell

Wanted to sell some old silver coins that had been in my house for a number of years. Found the BCC valuation process very simple and after sending coins by Special Delivery the agreed amount arrived in my bank account the following day. Very impressive.

Used BCC the other day as I wanted to sell some old coins. Obtained a rough valuation online, sent my coins to them, we agreed a final valuation and the funds were in my account within a few hours. An excellent and speedy service. Will definitely use again, a lot less hassle than selling privately or through an auction.

I have now used BCC twice to sell some coins. On both occasions their response was quick and their valuation more than fair. Payment was prompt. I can certainly recommend them and will use them in the future.

BCC website was easy to use and I obtained a rough valuation of my coins (ranging from gold sovereigns to 19th century very worn silver) from it. I sent my coins to BCC by Royal Mail Special Delivery on Thursday and received an acceptable valuation by email the next day, which I accepted over the weekend. I was paid by BACS on the following Monday. So fast and efficient, I thoroughly recommend BCC!

I haven't ordered online from Britannia, but I did make the effort of visiting their location in Wootton Bassett about eighteen months back. I was underwhelmed to say the least.

I'd imagined a proper coin dealer, but there's a tiny section of coins, and the rest of the store is basically antiques and junk.

I stayed in there for about ten or fifteen minutes, and despite it being obvious I was interested in looking at the coins, the guy at the counter showed no interest and continued chatting up some woman instead.

I was also unimpressed with the scammy way they ran their prize draw for the 1kg gold James Bond coin a year or two back. While it may have all been above board, they didn't do a great job at giving confidence in the draw's integrity.

So, no comment on whether they're trustworthy, or whatever, as I haven't actually purchased anything from them, but I would be reluctant to make it the first place I'd go for coins.

They seem to do an amazing job at getting their website top of the search engines, and if you can get past the the boring gumph they pad their YouTube videos with, occasionally there's something useful to learn.

Their website gives the impression of a very legit' business, but I think the website is far more impressive than the reality. Suffice to say that getting good search engine results and having a nice website don't necessarily mean a thing.

I'd like to be able to have confidence in them, as their prices often seem quite good, but I think I'd feel more comfortable paying a bit more at a more established and reputable dealer.

No response from email I sent regarding item they have for sale.

I had an issue with my online order, as it was delivered to the wrong address according to Royal Mail tracking.

The company's customer service team resolved it by sending a replacement item. The new item arrived promptly.

I've been to Britannia Coin Company on a few occasions. On each occasion the team are polite informative helpful and friendly. They have a huge back catalogue easily available for purchase on request, if not in store contact them and they can get it to the store for your collection or online purchase via mail. Their antique and coin shop is a beautiful display of history as once " the old bank " in Royal Wootton Bassett. Found this Coin company via Youtube and thought i would risk trying them out buying a number of gold and silver coins from them.
No issues with either the finding of the coins I wanted or the buying and despatch of them coins.
UK wise if you purchase early enough they are shipped same day via Royal Mail and you get them the next day (monday to friday shipping)
Prices are good and i will continue to use this company, well pleased with them.
