Poor service from Brookstreet as a whole. Various multiple branches behave the same. Trying to seeking work contact via email and phone and online no response, some branches don't answer their phone and recruitment consultants don't make the effort in putting you forward for interview and being shortlisted. Old jobs adverts still online to apply when actually expired and job role filled.contacted by phone to discuss this issue but still didn't receive the help needed for my relative to find work. He has since found new employment going direct with a global company. Wouldn't really recommend Brookstreet found them not interested and unhelpful

I have been trying to call Brook street for 3 weeks in a row and even left a voicemail. I still haven’t received any communication? Is this for a real? How they still a business.
They need to be shut down immediately. There is no professionalism what’s so ever. No one is willing to help or even reach out to you.

I’ve worked for Brook street on and off since 2021. They are good to work for, offer a foot in the door for civil service and NHS roles and the weekly pay is handy.

It has been a smooth process to date. From Joanne at the Liverpool office then onto Compliance handled at the London Office. Any information required from myself was communicated clearly and concisely by Ikra. I am now looking forward to the next stage.

I should have trusted the reviews. They strung me along for 4 months to tell me the job was no longer available. They initially told me I had the job but 4 months later I hadn't. What a joke, completely unacceptable. I have reported to the EAS.

Fairly straight forward online process. Ikra Khan was really helpful and easy to contact throughout the whole process. She was proactive and supportive until completion. Overall, I've had a very positive experience so far.

Told me I had the job in March and were waiting for a start date, 14 weeks later they inform me the client had decided to place the job on hold. 14 weeks of being told to sit on my hands and wait for the start date. No alternative vacancies offered either.

Absolutely useless agency. I applied for a few jobs with this agency and received one response from someone in the Nottingham office, she emailed me after 2 weeks of my application asking what form of ID I would use to prove right of work, I replied right away and that was it, no response whatsoever, I sent emails and rang numerous times leaving voicemails, still no response. This was 5 months ago and thankfully I found a job. Trash company that does not care at all and very disrespectful of her to not respond. I would suggest finding another agency as this one based in Nottingham is useless and they can’t be bothered to respond or do their jobs properly.

If there is a ZERO star it goes to this agency, they are beyond horrible and treat applicants like they are trash, if you try to ask about your rights and the breakdown of your payments they let you go with no reasons. plz dont deal with them its a waste of time...

I applied for a role through the Brook Street website in February 2025 and followed up by email regarding my application. My email was completely ignored. Since then, I’ve tried multiple times to contact the Brook Street office in Glasgow by phone, but no one ever answers – it always goes to voicemail. I eventually gave up calling, as it became clear they have no intention of responding.
This level of disregard for candidates is unacceptable from a recruitment agency. If you’re considering working with Brook Street Glasgow, I’d strongly advise you to look elsewhere. They show zero professionalism, respect, or courtesy toward applicants.

The role of identity verification administrator within NHS for BS is built on a shocking business model…staff are dismissed in a whim with no reason OTHER than personal dislikes of supervisors…which makes this even more unstable than a regular temp role…I worked this role doing an excellent job no warning or complaints until my new supervisor didn’t like me…very simple…face fits scenario… none can out run that gauntlet…staff remained who did 50% less than me and gained more points as a result of ‘mistakes’…yet are still there…all makes an exceptionally toxic nasty back stabbing (more than usual) environment…while your face may fit with one supervisor…as these rotate in very short lead times it ALL makes for more than usually unreliable temp employment…not worth the risk

Horrible communication, never replied to my emails during my time with them. Clearly do not care about the people they employ. Worst experience I've ever had. The company I was contracted with were amazing (I now have a permanent position with them) but Brook Street were downright awful to be employed with. I put in my resignation letter over a month ago and are no longer with them, yet they still owe me money for my accrued holiday hours (which i was told by Brook Street they would give me). Sent emails after emails regarding this and they are ignoring me, or sending one word replies. Considering legal action.
