Just landed a role through Brook Street. The experience from start to finish was excellent. Luke communicated accurately and promptly. I was kept up to date all the way, everything moved really fast and glad to say after being made redundant on 23rd Feb, im now looking forward to starting my New Role as a Credit Controller.
Would definitely recommend Brook Street to anyone looking for employment.

I'm even surprised they have reviews, they literally ignore applications. They send you constant emails to apply, but then don't even get back to you. No way to contact them and it seems as though they wouldnt even pick up ot reply.

very unprofessional experience from a woman whos name was on this review but they flagged it for me to remove😂
she ignores what i stated in email when asking me to provide certain documents and clearly doesn't understand herself what she is actually asking for.
once i sent her a email explaining the issue she blocked me.
not very professional
very rude approach in the emails and could probably benefit from some customer training.
And maybe if the company spend some time training their staff instead of sending edit requests to bad reviews they would have less 1 stars.
i advise staying away

I terminated a contract in October 2024 and received numerous reminders to supply timesheets despite no longer having a contract. Although I received a P45 they failed to inform HMRC that I was no longer employed with them, resulting in tax code issues over a year later. Similarly with the pension provider who still had me down for expected contributions, despite not working with them for over a year. Clearly have no exit process for employees which has caused long-term issues.

I wouldn’t even give one star but had to in order to write a review. Applied for a job on this site and received an email stating successful application. Didn’t hear anything more so sent an email a week later-no response. I found a contact number and could only leave a voicemail. Still no reply x3. I backed each call up with an email just asking for an update. I never received the call back the automated voice message said I would. Such a dreadful way to treat people, I’m disgusted with this company.

Considering this company have a big contract with The Public Sector they are not being monitored or being held accountable for their incompetence and lack of branch organisation. I have tried many times emailing all the different email addresses I'm told to, to get answers for my pay, holiday pay, P45 queries and they are not read properly and only half answered. Both numbers available all go to one Coventry number that are always Full. No one rings you back if you ask them to ask they say the phones are down. I'm still waiting for my holiday pay that I inputted correctly on the new fast track system! Shocking customer care and they are not concerned for my wellbeing.
The work is brill but beware of the emotional stress with pay and inputting your timesheets.
Good luck if you use this company.

Only giving one star as there wasn't an option for any less. I worked for the ONCE many years ago, no problems with the company I went to work for which was Help Me Quit in Cardiff where I got on with all the staff there and not ONE problem with the work I did for them. Ever since that ONE role that Brook Street actually put me in, I have seen many other roles that I would have been a great fit for and applied, not ONCE have they EVER even got back to me let alone put me forward for! I honestly don't know why companies are using this agency when they could more than likely fill their roles quicker themselves. Lord knows how many companies they are rinsing money from when they could be filling these roles advertised through them, but just don't!

Total lack of support from the Newcastle upon Tyne office.
Had contacted them on December 16th, 2025 regarding some information required by a vetting company for a new role I was due to start on January 12th, 2026. Chased it up numerous times with a consultant who advised she had escalated to a manager as it wasn't something the office could provide. Not sure why they couldn't provide dates for two previous contracts I did through them. Advised it was of great importance. After a lot of back and forward correspondence with the consultant she then sends me an email asking me to email her manager with the details of what was needed even though I had previously explained of this to her in numerous emails. I contacted her last week and advised that if I hadn't received the information by close of business on January 22nd, 2026 I would raise a formal complaint. Low and behold I got an email that same day with the details I was looking for. Due to the all of the delays in getting this information I decided to send a formal complaint to her line manager advised her of exactly what had been going on. This was sent on January 23rd, 2026 and according to their website, complaints are acknowledged within 5 business days. If I have not heard anything back from her by close of business today, I will be looking to escalate this issue higher.
The company is a total sham. They have no consideration for employees and it is a joke trying to call them. You get an answering machine that tells you that you can't leave a message as their mailbox is full. This happens at any given time of the day you call in.
Not impressed with the company at all. Avoid at all costs. There are far better agencies out there.

Isn’t it amazing how your agency just ignore employees though.. 8 contacts I have for Brook Street and not 1 has replied over a 3 week period other than Karl Graham (who’s the only 1 with any credit to your otherwise pathetic company)
Payroll phone numbers just cut out and don’t exist. Payroll email does not respond and unfortunately Karl can’t help me with payroll. More concerning is the fact even Karl has been ignored internally by managers and payroll on trying to assist me.
I’ve went 3 weeks in a row with incorrect salary deductions and I can’t speak to anyone to sort this!!! If anyone reading this feel free to read google reviews. 2.1/5… trust pilot 2.4/5… and what is alarming is that a lot of these reviews come back to the same issues… lack of communication and pay issues not being sorted..
I’ve put in a formal complaint and even that has been ignored too. I’m at the end of my patience and now refer to ACAS and Employment Tribunal to give you people a rocket up the backside… embarrassing
Awful agency don’t communicate, have a phone number that they know they will never ever answer the phone on, had payslip issues for over 2 weeks called emailed and till this day still received no response, if you have any issues just be aware they won’t be here to help

Absolutely disbolocal comms and engagement. Every single time you call, at any time of the day, it's 'all of our operators are busy'. Even when you leave your name and number, nobody calls you back. I am currently trying to get hold of them regarding a seriously urgent matter, and I may as well plait fog. Their only preferred comms is email. Shambolic!

I only worked for Brookstreet agency for 2 months and I have requested from them a reference and one is responding. My new employer has tried multiple times emailing them and calling the Coventry office. No one answers the phone and no one seems to reply to emails. This agency is so unprofessional and the the communication is terrible. Never had this experience before. I don’t recommend anyone to work for this agency!

A very very difficult application process (which I would honestly rate 1/5 stars), however Ikra Khan was an absolute angel with helping me though this. Her telephone etiquette was amazing, a really lovely, polite lady who without I don’t think I could’ve completed the application. Thank you Ikra for all your time and constant efforts to help! I’d give you 10/10 if that was an option!

I applied for hmrc soon after being made redundant I had 6 weeks to find a job , I applied and I got in contact with Tricia she was amazing got me back in work and was very helpful I won’t forget the help you gave me , the whole process was flawless with no issues , same for Anisa she did my checks quite quick ! I recommend this job agency any day one the best ones out there !
