So I did have a problem with BMCS due to some late payment fees but they have since given a good will gesture and I now only have to pay the actual balance owed. BMCS hasn't improved my credit score... Voir plus

Very poor communication if issues…
Very poor communication if issues arises with this company very slow to resolve any issues very poor response to any card issues freezing card when they feel like it and I check with TransUnion score and they give a much higher score than they say it's not accurate for me

We've had a look and can see that our Customer Support team has responded to you promptly, and that your card was frozen a few times because we were unable to collect the funds from your account, on a few occasions, for transactions you made using your BuildMyCreditScore card. We sent an automated email explaining this each time it happened.
The credit score we show in the BuildMyCreditScore app is your up to date "TrueVision" score provided to us by Transunion. The score we show in your app is up to date but, because different Credit Reference Agencies may calculate your score differently and use different bandings, it may differ from what you see from other providers.
We report your spending and account activity to the Credit Reference Agencies and they will use that information, amongst information received from other financial institutions, to calculate your score respectively.

My experience.
I'm only speaking from my experience, and that was 3 times on using this card it was declined, leaving me feeling embarrassed at the checkout at the supermarket. I then find out that although it is linked with my bank card, and works along side it, you have a limit of £30 to spend, anything above that and the card will decline a payment. I found that unbelievable if it's linked to my bank account! So I'm not using it, and found another way to build my credit.

To explain why the daily limit is lower than your current available bank balance, your BuildMyCreditScore debit card is specifically designed for small everyday purchases such as coffee, snacks and other incidentals, as well as regular payments like Netflix and Spotify. We will then collect the payment from your linked account via Direct Debit a couple of days later.
Making these small purchases using BuildMyCreditScore allows us to report your spend to Credit Reference Agencies and help improve your credit score, without the risk of needing to use a high interest credit card.
We also always show how much you have available to spend in the home page of the BuildMyCreditScore app so you know what you can spend before making any larger purchases.

Worth it
Really easy to set up, no fuss. Got the card within a few days and the process actually works as promised! The monthly fee is very reasonable too.

The card is a great concept
The card is a great concept, but I've had real trouble with my direct debit being taken from my account which in turn blocked my account for at least 2 months.
Other than this it does provide real results for your credit file.

Our evidence shows that the majority of our customers that used the product, as recommended, see an increase in their score of between 11 and 55 points within the first 3 months. Of course, individual results may vary and your credit score is made up of a number of factors that could impact your individual results.
In your case, I can see that your credit score has increased by 30 points already since you signed up last month - which is great to see!
