I ordered 2 dresses, it took weeks for the order to arrive, as apparently they are shipped from China, whereas they "appear" to be a small business in NC ....this is not true.
I think it is a sham because i contacted them several times to do a return, and they would not respond. Then they said they would give me "credit" but i wanted a REFUND so be warned....you WILL NOT GET YOUR MOney REFUNDED. I returned the merchandise to address in NC. at a cost to me. They wrote me that they would "refund" 80% Well This has not happened....i was taken for $78, plus the $13. to return ship. I will never again trust anything on Instagram. It is a FRAUD business, with fake reviews.

The products are not as described on their website (fabrics are NOT linen but some polyester or synthetic) and the returns are required to be sent to China which is not disclosed on their website. Despite kind, rational sounding email replies from customer service, this entire set up is a scam. They advertise linen but send you polyester, and claim your request for a refund is all about you "changing your mind," which means you must pay shipping costs of the return to China--which costs more than the item. I thought I had learned my lesson with these clothing retailers that sound American but are fronts for cheap Chinese products. It is getting to the point that i will only order clothing from known, trusted retailers like the Gap, Old Navy, Talbots, Ann Taylor, etc. I wish to could spread the word more widely about the proliferation of retailers like this one.

This is a fraudulent and dishonest…
This is a fraudulent and dishonest Chinese company posing as an American brand. In my experience, their clothes are cheap, not as pictured, ill fitting and they refuse to provide the legitimate full refunds they offer. Though they offer "free shipping," I was instead charged for "shipping insurance." I have spent nearly two months trying to schedule a return with full refund and it has been impossible. When I took the package to the post office with the address in Guangdong Province they provided, I was told the postal code they gave me was not a legitimate one for China. Out of exasperation, I finally agreed to accept a 50% refund with no return, but even that has never been credited to my account. Let the buyer beware!

Deceptive advertising. They lead you to believe that they are located in North Carolina, when actually they are in China. The ad clearly stated that dress was embroidered, it was not, it was a photo print on cheap fabric. They were quick to respond to my query to return the items, but said I would incur cost of mailing back to China! Don't buy anything from this company! I should have known better.

I’d pick negative 10 stars if it was an option. Scam company—unhelpful customer support with canned answers to everything! I ordered two LINEN shirts. When I finally received them, they were 100% polyester and very poorly made. They look nothing like the pictures on the website. Dealing with customer service is a nightmare trying to return something that was THEIR fault. DO NOT ORDER anything from this company. I have to return at MY cost to China! I’m reporting them to the Attorney General’s office for Consumer Protection.

Like many other reviewers, I am only disappointed I cannot rate them a zero. Took forever - several weeks - for package to arrive despite my several inquiries. Products that did arrive were poorly made, terrible fabric quality, and then took forever for me to return. Finally instructed to return at my expense to China ! Even though package came from California ! Do not buy from this company and avoid being scammed like me and so many others.

Bad experience
Returns (that did not fit or were wrong) needed to be sent (at my cost) to CHINA even though this company's name suggests it does business in North Carolina. When I expressed dismay, they offered to return 20% of original cost to my credit card and allow me to keep the items *I do not want*. I am still waiting for a meager refund. Rather than ignore that they owe me money, I have waited 3+ weeks for a refund to my credit card and still, no refund or explanation. What a waste of time and money. Never again!

Be aware that Carol and Margaret North Carolina are based in the Netherlands (although their products are manufactured and shipped from China) and therefore can not be investigated by the BBB which I learned after trying to file a fraudulent complaint. Two of the items I ordered were advertised as 100% linen but what I received were 2 poorly color printed cheap polyester items. Their online statement says that incorrect items will be “fully refunded at no cost to the customer”. They said they will refund for the items but I have to pay for the shipping back to China so the cost makes the refund pointless.

Crap clothing. Terrible fit and quality. Says it's "linen" when it's polyester. Crap. Clothes were shipped from China and if you try to return you are given a factory address in China to return them (which will cost you an arm and a leg).

Cheap cheap goods and terrible service
This company is terrible -- avoid and save your money! It is not a NC company as described. Goods come from China and take forever to arrive. Then when they do arrive, they are cheap quality. The fabric is cheap polyester. The sizing is off. The designs are not as described -- the dress description said it had a partial button placket, but it did not (had only a cheap looking seam). When you try to return it, they try to get you to accept a 10 or 20% refund and keep the item, and if you insist on returning it they make you jump through hoops and tell you you have to pay the original and return shipping to China.
