I have had an AMICA cooker for just…

I have had an AMICA cooker for just over 12 Months and both elements have perished already. They replaced my bottom oven element after 3 weeks of me contacting them. The engineer booked the grill element replacement while he was here on the 9th March and they cannot attend until the 26th March. So another three weeks from date of reporting.
I am also extremely disappointed with the quality of the appliance. I have had it just over 12 months and both elements being replaced is ridiculous My last cooker lasted 10 years with only one repair needed in it's lifetime and whilst I am fully aware in our throw away society appliances are not built to last anymore, but still I would expect to get more than 12 months usage out of it before repairs are needed. Don't buy AMICA appliances whilst they are middle of the road in terms of price, they are not cheap and they are definitely bottom of the pile in terms of quality and value for Money. I am now in the position that once the grill element is replaced if they go again it will be out of warranty and I will have to replace the cooker after only 2 years!!
I must say this review is no reflection on the engineer who attended, he was extremely professional and courteous.

But you don't listen

At the request of CDA here is a review of their products. A number of years ago we purchased a CDA oven whilst have a new kitchen. 2 service visits in 18 months oven replaced. The dish washer we had, again CDA needed a new control board in the first 12 months. Move on to mid 2023, moved house new kitchen. Not all CDA appliances this time. However, after 3 months seal on the micro wave combi oven needed replacing. After 18 months over packed up, this being the evening of the 23rd December, CDA, can be with you late Jan...oven meet tip, replacement oven, BEKO fitted. Repair needed again on Microwave combi oven as main function illuminated panel needed replacement, common fault, what can i say... CDA = Crap Domestic Appliances, no sign of an apology.

I have looked into this and I am sorry that our planning department ignored your email with the dates you were able to be around and can only apologise for the issues that you have experienced on your various appliances . It is not common for our appliances to break down on such a regular basis.

Long wait for parts.

I paid for an engineer visit and was then told that the parts could take up to 16 weeks!
I forgot about it and touched base every so often, until two months later...I received an email to say that an engineer was booked in.
Yay.
Mick arrived promptly and got on with his job. No issues. Replaced the part and all other components and circuitry linked to it, just in case.
Mick explained the repair and checked the microwave was working properly. Clean, tidy and professional.
Apart from the wait on parts, which cant be helped, I had a great experience. This is the only reason I gave a 4 start.

Friendly and professional service

Graham was brilliant when he came to fix our wine fridge. Rang up to let me know his ETA and was bang on time. He was chatty and friendly and managed to sort the problem within 15 mins. Fridge is fully functioning again!

EXCELLENT SERVICE

Graham arrived, checked the appliance issue, cracked on whilst the wife was working away in the background. Replaced the element and was done with no mess and in good time. Oven working as good as new again.

Super engineer

Super engineer, very engaging fixed the element on our oven, the only issue we had to wait nearly a week to have it fixed.
Can’t fault the gentleman however fixed in no time at all, thank you Aaron.

New appliance that does not work and is not fit for purpose. Engineer came out to fix and stuck cardboard down the back of it. Funnily enough it still doesn’t work

I have looked into the case & can see the engineer tested the unit & confirmed this is working to specification.

The noise is due to the ducting oscillating with the plastered wall, our engineer suggested a foam backing noise reducer to help with this.
