Terrible communicators. Lots of emails (that you cannot reply to) stating there will be a delay, but they did not give an initial delivery date, so I have no idea when we'll be getting this delivery. I have emailed them and asked for information, but they have not replied. It was clearly a big mistake on my part to order from this company.
Be warned. Go elsewhere.

Ordered 10 bags of coal 2 weeks ago. Received an email stating that there was a slight delay with our delivery. Still not received our order. I've now had to order coal from a local hardware outlet and pick it up myself. I won't be using this company again.

It's now 8 days since ordering. An email arrived saying there would be a delay. We have phoned twice to ask about a delivery date but no one at customer services can tell us. We have now asked twice for someone to call back and just give us a delivery day but despite promises we are still awaiting a call. I'm informed by the customer services that they are too busy dealing with other customer which would imply that some are favoured over others!! Customer services at its worst!!!

Easy to order but still no delivery and no forecast of delivery. So much for 5 to 7 days. I also have discovered that the smokeless coal at B&M is cheaper than coals2u's housecoal! Won't be using this company again. I note that the company doesn't react to reviews on Trust pilot so that gives you an idea of their customer service ethos.

26 bags of very wet coal. I need to start a wood fire to get the coal going.

The best of customer service from point of order to the delivery, excellent communication throughout coupled with an amazingingly helpful delivery from Mr J Ayling.

Ordered coal; was given no date for delivery. Telephoned them to ask; was told it would be within the 5 days; then got an email saying there would be a delay of an indeterminate length. Had to phone again; coal finally delivered 12 working days later, simply dumped on my front porch without the delivery man even ringing the doorbell - I only found it there when something else was delivered. Will not be using again.

2nd bad experience, with driver dumping big load of prepacked coal and logs just where he felt like it, redirections for safe unloading on 2 previous occasions ignored. Complaint to Cpl has achieved nothing. There has never yet been a process by which I can contact the delivery company. I cannot move these huge bags, cluttering up my garden myself.

We've ordered from Coals2U for many years, but had a few unpleasant experiences with drivers who refuse to drop bags into the coal bunker or wheel into the garden.

This year I'm delighted to report that normal service has been resumed! Polite driver and a smooth delivery!
