Connectd Avis 

Have seen a few people say the same thing, but was contacted via LinkedIn and invited to a Google Meet call. I joined and nobody ever arrived/couldn't contact via email or telephone.

Disappointing and makes me think it perhaps isn't legitimate.

We had a great experience working with Connectd and our healthy and beauty CPG go-to-market and digital strategy advisor Celine opportunity to work with Celine. The process was very streamlined and easy and the Connectd team did an excellent job with introductions and helping keeping kick-off meeting on track, etc. Our advisor was well-suited for our needs and provided tremendous value.

I guess you could say that they do what they say on the tin - connections. It's an excellent platform that hosts a great network of tech Founders and Advisers. Connect'd provide value add through in-person networking, training and really high quality mentors. There's a buzz and an energy about this community that's infectious and bang on the money as more of us seek fractional careers.

I’ve had a positive experience with Connectd overall. The training is good, well-structured, and genuinely useful, and the mentors I’ve worked with have been excellent.

My pro bono work through the platform did eventually lead to a paid role, which was a great outcome. That said, it’s worth knowing that you still need to put in a fair amount of your own effort to build a pipeline and find further opportunities. The platform can help, but it isn’t a completely hands-off route to paid work.

More recently, the Connectd team have become more hands-on in helping me use the platform effectively, which I’ve really appreciated. Overall, I’d recommend it, especially if you’re prepared to be proactive and make the most of the support available.

I requested to cancel and asked for a full refund within 24 hours of signing up after realizing the service was not the right fit for me and that I was uncomfortable with how quickly I was pressured to make a payment decision during the sales call.

I never used the service, never logged into the platform, and never participated in the program at all after signing up, as I realized almost immediately that I did not want to move forward with their services. My cancellation request was made well before I received any measurable value from the offering.

I also attempted to resolve the matter directly and politely with Connectd over the course of more than a month, but I feel I was repeatedly given the runaround rather than receiving a clear resolution. I even contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge, but the payment ultimately remained protected.

In my experience, paying more than $4,000 for this service did not deliver value that matched the expectations set during the sales process. I personally do not believe advisory or board-related opportunities should require this level of upfront payment.

What was most concerning to me was how heavily the fine print appears structured to lock customers into paying and staying, even when concerns are raised immediately afterward. In my opinion, companies that are truly confident in the value of their product should not need to rely so heavily on restrictive terms and pressure-based sales tactics.

What has been most disappointing is not just the financial loss, but the feeling that customer concerns were treated as obstacles to manage rather than legitimate issues to resolve fairly and professionally. I made every effort to address this privately and respectfully before escalating the matter publicly.

Given that I requested cancellation almost immediately and attempted to resolve this repeatedly in good faith, I do not believe the company’s response reflects fair or ethical customer business practices.

Great course and great fit and community. Really enjoyed going through the great training material, it is very well designed and have given me confidence in my role.

A great place to gather insights if you're new to the area. I found the training quite light as experienced self-employed person. Nevertheless the mentoring has been invaluable. The network and support on getting me a placement, though it took longer than expected. Has enabled me to get a head start and build a very good understanding of how to progress as a board advisor and fractional executive.

Great networking opportunities

The platform includes a thriving community that supports each other and gives a launch pad into being a leader whose amount of years of experience in corporate roles can be put to use as an independent executive in fractional roles filling the gaps in governance or operations for small to medium Startups or scaleups. One year ago I could never have imagined myself in these roles. Connectd made it possible. Thank you Connectd.

The team were very helpful with my requirements as a startup and finding the right advisors to enable the scaling of my business.

I've been on the Connectd platform for a few years now and it is a really good platform for not only reaching out to startups but also the training. I first went with the NED/Advisory training on the academy platform, and this really helped me understand what is needed and what i need to do to up skill. Following the academy training, it helped me onboard to two startups and was able to put my newly learned skills to good use.

I then decided to undertake the fractional training on the academy platform as this is something i feel strongly about pivoting towards in my career. Again the training was brilliant, not over the top but right on point. Looking forward to using the skills i have gained to good use.

I would highly recommend using the Connectd platform if you are starting out your advisory/NED/fractional career. There are lots of startups on the platform but also lots of ways to interact with fellow people and attend events.

Very well structured training material with. Real life examples, exercised which makes us think and questions to help us apply what we have learnt.
This is a must have learning for anyone moving to advisory role or even just contemplating . This helps visualise and provide steps to move.

They totally got it. Connectd understood right away that I needed a part-time CMO, not a full-time hire. I keep getting contacted by people related to this company, asking me ask whether I am interested in board advisory, or non-executive roles.
They are all contacting me with the exact same message, and every time I have replied that I am not interested and they should remove me from their contact or marketing database.
Today was the 3rd or 4th time I have been contacted, and it is becoming so repetitive that it is starting to feel like I am being targeted by some sort of Pyramid scheme...

I got a lot of value from this course. It was well structured, at a good pace, and provides a good framework for those wanting to begin with a board advisory career.
