**COVID-19 Update 2/22/2021** Container Inventory and Pricing remains in a highly unstable environment. Our published pricing is based on our prime suppliers' inventory availability. Pricing and delivery times are subject to rapid changes based on market conditions. If your needs are critical to a specific timeline, please contact our support specialists in advance of placing an order. As of today, shipping container pricing has officially doubled in the last 120 days in some of our key markets, with rapid and unannounced price increases daily from our suppliers. This inconsistency is particularly problematic to our ability to project up to date pricing in our web-store, and the shortage of supply continues to cause delays on delivery lead times. ContainerDiscounts.com was built to be a marketplace for consumers to easily find and purchase containers online. Our platform is disruptive by design, and often not welcome by some of our competitors and suppliers. Our business model was developed to give some level of transparency and data to the consumer, to help make faster and more informative purchase decisions. Prior to this rapid change in market conditions we were executing that plan very effectively. The last 90 days has been challenging to manage supply and more importantly customer expectations. So what are we doing to correct some of these issues? - We have reduced our margins to help offset price increases. This includes setting markups at a flat rate versus pct% to better control consumer price increases. - In areas where stock is not available by our supply partners, we are offering referrals to local retailers that may have stock on hand. - We are verifying stock immediately after purchase, and presenting our consumers with available options if the exact stock is not available. - We are processing refunds as soon as funds are received from our merchant in the case of cancelled orders. Ordered 2 45’ containers and paid in…

I ordered 2 45’ containers and paid in full. They seemed nice and were courteous and helpful. 1 week later they said they couldn’t get them from “that depot” but that they found them “elsewhere” for additional money($1000) or they could cancel order. I decided to cancel and purchased two containers elsewhere. 2 weeks later I still have not received my $6k refund. They are brokers only and they do not own the containers but are basically a liaison between you and the large companies that actually own the containers. My main issue is the fact they’re holding on to my money weeks after cancellation due to unavailability of the product.

Update: Company rep reached out to me after filing review and stated they would refund asap due to the fact I wasn’t returning a product but that it was canacelled before they even arranged to have it picked up(No Stock) Refund finally received. Again, company reps were pleasant.

Stay away from this company!
They will scam you.
They will charge you then "forget to place your order". I called countless times and finally was delivered an absolute garbage container with holes and damaged seals and this was supposed to be a Cargo worthy container which i paid a premium for.
I refused acceptance of the container and they are now telling me it will be up to 75 days for reimbursement

We totally dropped the ball, and we fully understand how frustrating this process has been for you. It has been a nightmare for you, between our failure to communicate to your standards, to deliver a product that looks the way that you expected it to receive, and to deliver a refund for your order within a reasonable timeframe. We hear you, and we are committed to doing everything within our power to make this right.

The 75 day turnaround time for reimbursement is incorrect, and that’s totally our bad for failing to clearly communicate what we meant: If you dispute the charge through your credit card provider, it is our experience that it takes on average, 75 days for resolution through those methods. This is why we tend to prefer that customers go through us for a refund instead. Upon checking my records, I see that the refund has already been processed on our end, and you have confirmed with us that it is pending on your end.

In regards to the physical condition of the container you received and refused delivery of, we guarantee that our driver and the depot both inspected the container inside and out and verified that the seals were good and there were no holes, despite the cosmetic concerns about the container. Unfortunately, most depots are down to the bottom of their inventory stacks, and while those containers are inspected and have their condition verified by industry experts before they leave the depot, their appearances are a little worse for the wear than their newer counterparts.

We apologize again that the container did not arrive the way that you expected it to, and we are glad that we were able to quickly process a refund for your order. We hope you’ll give us an opportunity to fill your container needs in the future and that we’ll be able to provide service that is consistent with your expectations moving forward.

SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT!!! Try to purchase a 40 foot container back on December 22nd 2020 3 times running the debit cards through to no Avail. Applied for a credit card and ran purchase through, Low and behold it goes through. Except one problem the price jumped $300+ In less than two weeks. Not nice. Will see how the rest of the transaction goes? Well today is Jan-6-2021 at 1pm central time. They had the gall to call me for a $450 price increase after payment Of $6000 after the $300+ jump, I hope crapy companies like this go bankrupt. Nice way to treat newly In listed NAVY personnel to store their stuff while serving this country. Shame on you. Canceled order. Jan-6-2021 4pm central time. Your reply is incorrect. The definition of a scam is when somebody pays FULL ASKING PRICE then you hold the product as hostage to get more money, That is the very definition of the word scam. Stop using CV-19 as excise sick and tired of it. Stop trying to use words to justify your scam. I suppose you want me to go to Walgreens and get to I tunes gift cards to make up the difference?Or do i get the Nigerian Prince That owes me 40 million dollars involved.UPDATE. January 21 2021, still have not seen charge back on credit card.

Hi Scott! As a prior enlisted airman, I appreciate your service to our country. I am sorry to hear your transaction did not go as anticipated. Unfortunately, Covid has not only left our friends and family ill, and taken many lives around the world, it has caused a shortage and demand on shipping containers. This is due to individuals' lives changing daily.
This has also impacted our industry as a whole. The price of containers right now in the United States are unstable and changing every 48 hours in our smaller markets as we discussed on the phone together yesterday January 5th. From the 22nd of December to today, the price of your specific container increased $750. I understand the impact that has on you, as well as the rest of our customers undergoing the same scenario in this time of need.
Please know our goal is to be transparent with you and within a timely manner. Your purchase was made on the 4th and we helped you cancel by the 6th because of cost difference. This is not the definition of a scam and we appreciate the opportunity to serve you. I hope to see you in the future.

Do Not Expect Quick Delivery

On their website, it says 2-5 day delivery. This is a lie. I waited over a month after paying for my container to be delivered. It was incredibly hard to get ahold of anyone and when I did I was told there were no more containers in stock. I ended up paying another $900 for the promise of a container and then I was told the container was sold out from under them. After almost 2 weeks of daily delays, I finally received my container. If you are on any kind of schedule it would be better to go straight to the source and buy from a port or shipping yard. 2-5 day delivery is extremely inaccurate and should be changed on their website.

Easy purchase process

Easy purchase process. Kevin Bell was very helpful in answering my questions. The online purchasing process was easy. Also, since this was my first purchase of a container, the online information was detailed and very helpful.

Delivery was great

Delivery was great. Doors work good on one and will not latch on one and the bearing blocks holding the latch shaft from top to bottom are bent with half bent so bad the bearing is missing.

This is an update to my original review.
I have now received my container and it appears to be in excellent condition. Can't see daylight anywhere, the floor is solid and firm and the doors function properly.

* I would have happily given five stars if the communication side of things had been better from the very beginning... It was not awful or a bad experience just a hiccup as you'll see below.*

(In case you did not see my original review, unfortunately, on my originally scheduled delivery date, I had crew waiting for delivery and 2 hours after delivery window had passed I finally called the trucking company to find out when they were going to show up. Only to find out they did not have me scheduled because apparently a repair needed to be made to the container and Container Discounts was supposed to call me and let me know, but did not. It then took another 3 days to determine when they could set a date for delivery. Arielle was very professional and did admit to the error and apologized which I appreciated very much.)

Despite the hiccup, and it taking 11 business days instead of five, I have to say that Arielle was on top of things thereafter and communicated very well, and got me rescheduled for delivery the following week. The delivery showed up on time as scheduled. The delivery company was courteous, skilled and professional and I'm very satisfied with my container. I would purchase from Container Discounts again.

40' Hi-cube One-Trip

Overall very good experience, especially Nielley Transportation. One-Trip container arrived on scheduled day, on time, and was put in place without any problems.
I deducted one star for the fact that container came with a cockroach infestation.
