Ordered a paw patrol toy for our grandson. Was $10 more than competitors who had sold out, then hit with $7 charge for a 10 day delivery service (why do online retailers think customers should pay their delivery costs?). But hey ho it's for our grandson. At checkout was offered $1 off if I clicked First. Didn't explain what First was and it appeared to be a marketing programme and in return I gave them permission to use my email account. $1 is $1 so worth a click and I can always junk mail them.
Fortunately I read the whole confirmation email as I had time on my hands and at the bottom there it was - First would cost me $180 a year unless I opted out. No single click to opt out though. This is sharp practice - shame on you D**ksmith.

If I could choose no stars I would.
Their customer service is terrible.
They have not helped with my wrong order and blamed me for ordering incorrectly. I didn’t.

Ordered an ‘Anycast’ streaming dongle from the website, there was a lot of confusion around delivery. Saying it was delivered days before it actually was. When I finally received the product and tried to set it up I realised it was just a cheap knock off of the real thing, have emailed and am waiting for a response in regards to a refund. Will update.

Another FIRST membership complaint... it's a rubbish service. I have asked to have my account deactivated and won't use DSmith ever again! it's obscene that customers pay for service that DSmith should already be extending to customers. This is rubbish and like most rubbish, I've trashed and canned the site

BUYER BEWARE! D!ck- Smith have turned into a really poor version of Temu. At least when you have an issue at Temu they answer messages and promptly issue refunds.
D!ck Smith take no responsibility for the sellers on their site. So when you run into a problem, the seller just stonewalls you until you go away. There’s no provision for faulty product return- the buyer has to pay for returns, so refunds are impossible.

Bought a maceration pump. Didn't work at all. NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THEM. Trying to get any information leads to chasing your own tail. There is no contract number and the help line and or any other contact possibilities is useless to say the least

This is a warning do not buy off this company I've been trying to get a replacement of my son's tablet that is faulty I've sent in videos and no replies

I am gutted to have been unwittingly joined up to their First membership when I never wanted to. This to me is a scam. I think you need to untick a box to not have trial that they will then charge you annual membership of $149 per year (for free postage apparently). I have puchased items about once per year so am feeling very rippied off now.

PLEASE, DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM D*CK SMITH. IT IS A SCAM WEBSITE. YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE YOUR ORDER.

Total scam. Don't be fooled into thinking this is the old trusted D**k Smith brand. All the products are sold by individual scammers and fake shops who use fake postal tracking websites making you think the product you paid for actually exists. It doesn't. Once you've paid for something on D**k Smith - kiss that money goodbye, you'll never see it again.

Do your research - D**k Smith went into liquidation and is said to be $245M in debt. Whoever has hijacked the D**k Smith website is doing a world class scam. Be warned!

The Arrow rest is way out of alignment. Literally had to find two screws to mount it where it was never meant to go. The quality is fair though. I replaced sight with 200mw red laser 🤣.Max at 50 pound draw but can be altered easily to 35 pounds. Think the design is similar to dragon x8 bow, but made of much cheaper material 😅.

I have tried to raise a dispute and even tried to do this through after pay.

I have been ignored apart from a generated email saying its been dispatched. Feels like I have thrown my money away

A MacBook I bought has lines appearing all over it. I've sent multiple emails to customer service and no replies. Do not buy from DickSmith!

I ordered an item and got a notice a couple of days later to say it was shipped along with a tracking number. Since then (a good few weeks ago now) there’s been nothing. Tracking status is the same, but if I check with the courier company they don’t have a record of the tracking number logged. It appears to have vanished. I’ve emailed several times to different customer service contact options with no response. Starting to feel like I’ve been scammed. I’d seriously not order from them again.

It is only because I have ordered successfully through this company before that I am not giving it a one star rating, I ordered on the 6th December and still have not received parcel, I would be ok with this if I had information that I could track it (the tracking number I have been given still isn’t active after 19days) or actually get hold of a person to help me find out what is going on! I have emailed with no success and cannot for the life of me find any other way to contact them to get some clarity or help! Think I can kiss my money goodbye this time, sad as these presents were for my grandson so I will now need to go buy something else with money I do not have after all the other Xmas shopping done! Please D.Smith listen to your customers and get some kind of “people” help to improve your service!

Asked for an expected delivery time at time of placing order. Still no updates. Received one order and absolutely no clue of the whereabouts of the remaining items. No response when emailing. Last time using the site.

I ordered an item on 4th December. 'Dispatched' but hasn't left Christchurch.17 days and no movement. And anyone who's tried to get help from Customer service will tell you you don't get the run-around, you just don't get ANYWHERE.
Can't update my address, never could lodge a password, or change it for a new one.
Can't get anywhere with their carrier.
If I do get this item it will be the last.

And here's a coincidence, and is, of course, a coincidence. Later today a USA company who I've never had any dealings with,has tried to scam me for $426.50
Just sayin'.

Terrible customer service.
