Customer service lacking

Tried to order shoes for a gala but no one ever responded to the contact form. There is no phone number listed and no indication of the shoes are UK or US sizing. Just a vague sizing guide showing the difference.

It’s been a terrible experience

It’s been a terrible experience. I’ve paid for the shoes. I’ve paid the duty. But no delivery. It went to my house but was so late I wasn’t there. So I requested that it be left at my closest UPS facility and that didn’t work either. I don’t know where the shoes are now. Hoping they show up.

I think you need to reach out to UPS again and ask for re-delivery, especialy as you have paid import.

Whilst Dobell sent an incorrectly…

Whilst Dobell sent an incorrectly labelled item to me their customer service on reporting the issue was excellent , with a full refund including all postal charges. They replied within 12 hours and sorted a refund within 36 hours . Thank you .

I was unable to purchase a tweed coat…

I was unable to purchase a tweed coat that was on your website. It simply said the transaction failed. No discussion about whether or not the coat was out of stock or not. Then I received a email saying I was being refunded. I tried purchasing another coat, but same thing. It’s unfortunate because I’m buying for someone who’s quite small. 36 regular. It’s not easy to find, but your website has it. I just can’t seem to get it.

Outstanding Customer Service!

I placed an order today with Dobell as I have a wedding next week and as usual have left it till the last minute to get a suit. I placed an order for next day delivery, as I'm only back in the UK this weekend and planned to collect it from my parents house to bring back with me. When I went to place the order, I'd entered the wrong card details, so the page refreshed and reset the delivery to 3-4 working days. Without checking, I just corrected the card details and paid.

The panic when I saw the 3-4 working day delivery! I contacted Dobell's customer service email explaining the situation asking if I could pay the additional to upgrade the delivery, or if I'd have to reorder and cancel the other. I was worried when I saw the autoreply of (up to) 2 working days to reply.

I needn't have worried, literally within a few minutes, Emelie responded advising that she'd very kindly asked the Warehouse to upgrade the delivery to next day as a good will gesture!

Just fantastic customer service that (sadly) is becoming more and more of a rarity these days.

Thank you so much for saving my wedding outfit Dobell, and please pass on my sincere thanks to Emelie! I purchased my wedding suit from you a few years back, and today's just shown why I will continue to use Dobell for my formalwear.

P.S. I think Emelie deserves a Christmas bonus!

Unclear in Information for tariffs

The information provided on the website does not thoroughly explain the tariffs. Based on how it is presented, it appears the fee would be approximately 8–10%, but it does not mention that brokerage fees would also apply. When I agreed to have the package shipped, the total cost to ship it was nearly the same as what I paid for the items themselves. This was completely unexpected and overwhelming.

As stated online there are 2 duties which apply, one is based on the product and the second is based on its country of origin, looks from your statment above you where only expecting one duty to be levid.

Unfortunatly these import fee's are out our hands and we make every effort to reach out before shipping to double check you are aware.

I agree, unfortunatly due to the value of the order being over the freshold for Informal US clearance the goods had to go through Formal clearance which is why the additional information was required by US customs authority to act on your behalf, slowing up the delivery.

BEWARE if ordering outside of UK!

I ordered a sports jacket for my son for Christmas on Black Friday. Within a week Dobell cancelled my order saying they had sent a question about tariffs. I was dealing with a family emergency and did not see my “promotional” emails right away and they cancelled my order. I lost the Black Friday deal and they refused to honor the deal after they cancelled. Do not order from this company if outside of the UK!

Cancellation Request Ignored

I received an email from dobell indicating that I could cancel the shipment because of the tariff prices. I immediately replied to cancel the order and yet the package was still shipped and I keep getting emails from UPS about delivery and owing additional money.
