Carl Hughes at ECH Group was very helpful outlining the various options and answering all of my many questions to help me choose a Solar PV installation (including battery storage) that was right for me. He was accommodating when I had some last minute changes a week before the installation to add an additional four panels to a side roof. The day of the installation went smoothly and I was up and running later that afternoon.

The system has been operating for just over four months and I've been completely satisfied. There was an initial mixup in the G99 paperwork submitted (for the SEG application) when the system was first commissioned but Kiera Bird was helpful in getting it resolved.

The GivEnergy app is great to be able to see the generation and usage. I did subsequently get a second battery installed two months later as our usage was more than expected (we have a hot tub) and I'd rather use the electricity instead of exporting it back to the grid. My only observation is that I wish I had asked about netting around the solar panels as there are some pigeons who are insisting on trying to build a nest under them. There are 'bird blocker' products on the market, but it's more cost-efficient to have it installed along with the panels on the day. I don't know if ECH Group offer that as a side product, but is something I would recommend. I've resorted to a squirt gun in the meantime.

All in all, I would highly recommend ECH Group (I was referred to them from a work colleague). Their pricing was very competitive and their installation workmanship was excellent.

I recently had a solar panel installed by ECH, and I must say that I am extremely pleased with the outcome. From start to finish, the entire process was handled with professionalism and efficiency. Allow me to share my experience and highlight the exceptional individuals who made it all possible.

First and foremost, Carl Hughes, who managed the project, ensured that everything ran smoothly. His attention to detail and ability to oversee the entire installation were remarkable. He was always available to address any concerns I had, and his expertise was evident throughout the entire project.

Kiera Bird, the point of contact for communication, was proactive in keeping me informed every step of the way. Her timely responses to my emails and calls were greatly appreciated. Kiera's dedication to ensuring clear and open communication was commendable, making the entire process much more streamlined.

Lucy Watson and Ysabel Francis, the sub-managers of the project, were instrumental in coordinating various aspects of the installation. Their efficiency and organization were truly impressive, ensuring that everything progressed smoothly and on schedule.

Dave Hall, the technician responsible for the solar panel system, showcased excellent knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the technology. Despite the complexity of the system, Dave patiently explained everything to me in simple English. His willingness to go the extra mile and ensure that I fully comprehended the intricate details of the installation was highly commendable.

Lastly, I must acknowledge the installation team consisting of Steve, Sean, Nick, and Adam. Their professionalism and expertise were evident from the moment they arrived. They worked diligently to install the solar panels, leaving no room for error. Their attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality installation were truly commendable.

Although it may be a bit challenging to reach ECH via phone due to their high demand, I discovered that emailing them for a callback proved to be a more efficient method of communication. The team promptly responded to all my emails, exhibiting their proactive approach and ensuring that no queries went unanswered.

From the initial planning stages, ECH's team demonstrated their commitment to providing a personalized solution tailored to my needs. They actively listened to my requirements and offered valuable suggestions on the optimal placement of the PV system. I was impressed by their efficiency and genuine interest in delivering the best outcome rather than merely pursuing profit.

Having researched and contacted numerous PV system installers, I can confidently state that ECH surpassed all others. Many of the companies I approached seemed focused on making exorbitant profits, while ECH stood out as a genuine and trustworthy option. Their pricing was fair and reasonable, making them the clear choice for me.

The most astonishing aspect of my experience with ECH was their ability to complete the installation within a month's time. Other installers had estimated a minimum of three months, making me skeptical at first. However, ECH's organized and efficient working style exceeded my expectations, allowing me to save time and reap the benefits of solar energy sooner than anticipated.

In conclusion, I am exceptionally satisfied with ECH and the remarkable team behind it. It's been 3 months since the install and they were excellent. My set up is a little complicated with 2 solar arrays about 30m apart on flat roofs. There were challenges with the MyEnergie "Harvis" communicating because of distance, but ECH sorted out all those challenges (by laying some cable and installing a box on my fence) and more. The result is, I have enough solar at the moment (summer) to pay for all my electricity including the EV charging. The excess flux tarrif also covers all my gas cost at the moment with some money to spare. Other solar companies I contacted said it couldn't be done and some others designed a much more expensive system with 2 batteries. Dave at ECH knows what he's talking about and is able to explain it very well. 6 out of 5 stars! The only regret I have is that I didn't get them in sooner. The only thing they were not accurate on was the payback - with the new flux tarrif it's going to be at least 1 year sooner!

Poor workmanship which was reported during the covid pandemic. But I was told no repairs taking place due to pandemic. Today after months of chasing it up. They tell me I only had 6 months guarantee on a system that cost over £7000.
Awful service. Avoid this cowboy outfit.

I contacted several companies getting quotes before deciding on ECH. It wasn't just the competitive price that made me choose them, I just got a good feeling about the company when speaking with Carl. He listened to my requirements then gave me good advice and various options. Provided me with new quotes each time I tweaked the design slightly without any complaints. He didn't try to over sell me or under sell me a system (some companies don't want to complete the G99 forms so will under sell you a system that doesn't require the form, but may not meet your needs).
Once we agreed on the system, they kept me informed and updated with regards to equipment delivery and so on. On the day of the install they arrived on time, the guys were polite and did a wonderful install. They cleaned up after themselves and I was surprised at how quickly they carried out the install.
Overall I am very happy with the price paid, the system and the install. I would highly recommend ECH to anyone that is interested in getting Solar.

The team to install the solar panels on the roof arrived promptly at the agreed time. They completed a physical survey then checked with me that I was happy with the layout. Then worked quickly and efficiently to install my 14 panels. All done cleanly and all waste removed.

ECH installed a solar panel array + battery at my house. The initial quotation process was excellent, with David in particular being outstanding in his technical knowledge and willingness to have a long, thorough discussion with me to decide on the optimum system for me (which is somewhat unconventional, in having panels on my NE as well as SW-facing roof sections). The survey team was also excellent, with a practical, no-faffing about attitude. Supply-chain issues caused several delays in installation, but this was not unexpected, ECH kept me reasonably well informed, and, when we were hit by a substantial battery price rise, David worked with me very well to find an acceptable solution. Although we had some glitches connecting over the phone, ECH responded well to emails, so communication overall was fine. Installation was done on the date scheduled, was very efficient and well organised. Most importantly, the system has subsequently worked flawlessly, has exceeded my hopes with respect to power generation, and I am super-happy with it.

They were a recommendation, although having spoken to the recommender again, seems their experience now is much like mine. I had arranged visits they didn't turn up to, or arrangements for them to call that never happened, meaning time I had specifically made available was wasted. Incorrect contact information on emails. No way to contact them as they don't answer their telephone. If there had been an apology rather than just arrogance as a parting shot I might have let it slide, but now I can't - and I am a potential customer looking for panels! UPDATE: For the avoidance of doubt, I did not not receive any the claimed calls!

We were really impressed with ECH Group from start to finish. We took a while to decide what we wanted and there were only occasional friendly emails to see if we had decided, we didn’t feel harassed like with other companies we had engaged with. When the installation day came we were really impressed with the team that fitted them, so quickly and professionally installed, and left everything neater than they found it. We are also really impressed with the performance of the Solar Panels and battery that we had fitted, especially as fitted during a rainy period.

I was considering getting a battery and wasn't sure if I needed one with the amount of panels I had. Most of my roofs face north. My south facing roof is fairly small, which has the panels. I also got my panels free from the government scheme in the summer of last year. I phoned ECH and explained the situation and was advised about taking note of my winter and summer fuel usage and they would be prepared to come out and assess the situation once I had these figures. The information given, over the phone, was extremely helpful and I will be going back to them for the possible installation of a battery. One of the few companies who explained in depth the pros and cons of needing a battery. Also had a branch locally to where I live.

If I could give no stars I would! This is a shocking company. I have been trying since March 2022 to get them to pay me the money I am owed from the feed-in tariff for my solar panels. The office telephone number is an answer machine that just tells you to email the person you wish to speak to or complete the online complaints form. Neither of which ever respond. I have reported them to the Financial Service Ombudsman and am awaiting the outcome.

ECH were suggested by a collegue, on doing some research they still came out top. Pre installation wasa bit difficult due to volume of work. Went they startedthe installation they we excellent, sorted all the small niggly issues which were not there fault and the after service has been great

ECH were one of 10 companies I invited to provide me with solar panels and batteries for my home. Their proposal was extremely attractive, very price competitive and of high quality. Their representative, Carl Hughes was excellent, being informative, understanding and helpful. I cannot speak too highly of the company

Good communications - there was delay due to global shipping and ECH kept me up to date.
Install went smoothly and guys were willing to go extra mile.
Advice and guidance from Dave and the team spot on.
Certificates etc sent in timely manner and competitive quote - what's not to like! Can't comment regarding ongoing support as nothing gone wrong yet.

Extremely competent team came and installed all the systems. They were very patient too, taking the time to explain the various software's and links to control the equipment remotely. That was really needed and appreciated.

I selected ECH Group as the best value of 6 quotations received for a 12 panel, 5.2kWh battery and iBoost water heater system. The quotation process was straightforward and efficient, and all my questions were answered in full and quickly by email, pre-arranged phone calls and a visit to the office - all by people with genuine expertise. There were no salespeople involved. I accepted the quotation with an installation date around 2 months later. At my request, aluminium-coloured rails were swapped for black ones at no charge. The installation team arrived on the due date and completed the work to a very high standard, providing me with a good brief on system operation at the end of the day. All warranties, MCS certification and DNO approval were provided quickly. The installation is working as expected and looks very neat. Everyone involved, from the office team to the installation team, have been efficient and a pleasure to work with - I don't want to single anyone out because they were all good. It has been an exceptionally good experience.

Note: Usually feedbacks are provided when we are unhappy or extremely happy with the service received at given point of time. But to provide honest feedback without any personally biased view I am providing a delayed feedback. This is to also ensure consistency in services received over a period.

I contacted ECH group in the month of December 2021 for getting quotes for installation of solar panels with battery along with other similar service providers. Positive oint duting cycle was their promptness in providing transparent, competitive and flexible quotes based on your need. Sometimes I received revised quotes in few minutes from Carl Hughes. I didn't find any negatives during sales cycle. Procurement cycle was long due to supply chain issues which ECH didn't have any control (Large global companies e.g Tesla, Ford were also struggling 😀). However ECH team were professional and tried their best specifically Lucy who kept me informed and prioritised my installation. Installation was smooth and above expectation.Special call out for Nick, the electrician who went above and beyond to connect my zappi CT clamp to the solar system. Finally the system is running without any issues since last 6 months and reducing my grid dependence on every day.

I would have given 4.5/5 but giving 5/5 as ECH team were going above n beyond for managing things which are not in their control. I have already given their reference to my friends and colleagues. The quote and installation were fine, but ECH had to return a few days later to fit (rather messily) the anti-bird mesh. The system included a battery and software from GivEnergy. All worked OK well until the start of the year, at which time the dongle on the inverter no longer communicated with the software. I contacted GivEnergy and they referred me to ECH as the dongle and inverter are not GivEnergy products. As with many other reviewers, communicating with ECH is impossible. They don't answer the telephone and tell callers to email, but they obviously can't be bothered to reply to them. How can one deal with a company that, effectively, is incommunicado? All in all, I can only advise potential customers to avoid ECH as either they are going bust (so no longer has a broadband supplier) or have made so much money that they can now retire and forget about all those who have paid them and move to Spain.
