A Total Disgrace – Avoid Edisons and Their Faulty Electric Mower at All Costs!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so outrageously bad that I feel obligated to warn others. I purchased an electric lawn mower from Edisons, and it worked a grand total of three times before completely dying. It became an overpriced piece of scrap metal overnight.

I contacted Edisons' support team immediately, provided clear evidence of the fault—including photos and videos showing the mower refusing to start—and still, they refused to send out a replacement. Their customer service was slow, dismissive, and downright insulting after we asked for a replacement or refund. They acted like I was trying to scam them instead of acknowledging they sold me a defective product.

For a company that prides itself on innovation and reliability, this is a shocking level of incompetence and disregard for the customers experience. A product that breaks after just three uses is bad enough, but to be stonewalled and ignored when seeking a replacement or refund is unforgivable.

Do yourself a favor: spend your money elsewhere. This mower was a complete waste of time, money, and trust. Edisons has lost a customer for life, and I’ll be warning everyone I can to steer clear of this sham of a company!

Great product, accurately described. Prompt service.

Product arrived within a few days. Mower was easy to assemble, fill with oil and fuel and started first pull. It is already doing a great job on thick lawn. I bought it to replace same brand mower that was almost 10 years old and never missed a beat.

Customer service is dreadful

Customer service is dreadful. I bought an electric ride-on mower ($3700+) which worked fine for about 2 years then died. It's fine that it was out of warranty, I just wanted to find out from Edisons how it could be repaired. After going through all the hoops of sending them a video of the problem - how do you video a mower that won't work? - total silence. They just ignored all emails I sent.
Happy ending though - a local auto electrician picked up my mower, repaired the wiring and returned it, all for $150.
Seems like Edisons is happy to take your $$ then couldn't care less after that.

We believe you attempted to send this video via email, but unfortunately, due to a large file size, we did not receive it. We also provided an upload form link with a maximum file size of 80MB. It's possible the file exceeded this limit, or that you encountered a browser compatibility issue. Had we been able to receive the video, we could have provided more specific troubleshooting assistance.

This was not our intention. We are committed to helping our customers, even after the warranty period. On the bright side, We are glad to hear that a local auto electrician was able to resolve the issue for you, and we appreciate you sharing that information.

Overall, great experience and great service (Mower was delivered Sat morning 😁 very excited!!)

Great service, great delivery person......a little sad after being told I'd be notified about delivery and wasn't, but I made contact with Edison's, was responded to the same day, and the person who responded was beyond helpful and supportive and boom, prob solved. Over all, I am very happy with the ordering process, the service etc....and will def use Edison's again...oh, and I just want to say, I looove my new mower, she is beautiful 😊

Fantastic Deal.

I already have your cordless mower, blower and line trimmer, and have been very happy with them.Time to try out your power tools.
This is a combi tool, with interchangeable heads, utilising the same battery and grip handle. The kit has 3 attachments 1- Jigsaw with 3 blades, 2 - Oscillating head for cutting square holes in drywall (gyprock), minor sanding etc, 3 - a variable 2-speed reversible drill with hammer function, and 4 - a 2.0Ah lithium battery and charger, all contained in a smart carry bag.
This is a domestic use tool, for the occasional handyman. The function is a little rough, as gear noise is apparent, mostly in the drill attachment, however, there IS abundant torque. Also, the drill attachment seems to be "heavy duty" (solid) and therefore is heavy. This makes the drill quite off-balanced (front heavy) compared with dedicated battery drills. That being said, it's hard to find other fault with this versatile tool. Given the current promotion, you will not find a better deal for a multifunctional lithium battery tool for the great advertised price $59 (reduced from $299).

Purchased a 2 stroke petrol pole saw…From Edisons

Purchased a 2 stroke petrol pole saw and the throttle will not tighten , I have actually exceeded the tightening on the screw threads, absolutely a total waste of $199.00 tool was 149.00 shipping was 50.00 , they wanted photos and videos, which I fail to see the reason why, I have since stopped purchasing from this company.

Equipment is below par... in my opinion, save your money and go to Bunnings, at least you can personally take it back and get it sorted.

You have been warned.

Update :
Edisons sent me an email telling me that if I took down my review, they would send me the replacement part " free of charge " .

I will not take this review down as I am sure other people may have a similar experience with them in the future.
