They will take your money, charge you extra, and they will raise prices!

They take more money than they tell you, they will raise their prices and they will cut your allowance because they can.

Their data is not unlimited and they make you pay high prices for extra.

Don't bother, they are awful and you will regret signing up with them.

Customer service is rude and horrible. Had an indian lady on the phone being really rude.

So yeah, DON'T go with EE, they will take a lot more money than you signed up for, also don't pay by direct debit.

Worst mobile company I've ever had

I've never had a good opinion of telephone companies (I've tried 3 in 15 years in Italy), but this one is by far the worst among all.
As a new comer in UK, I picked a monthly contract plan at first, to have the possibility to change if I would not be happy. The price was 17 pounds per month (not so cheap... But I was monthly). I must say that in Italy prices are shown VAT included usually... So the total price was actually about 21 a month.
Because I was going to call a lot my family in Italy, I asked explicitly to the advisor in the shop in Manchester (Market St) if there where any add-on to call to Italy. The answer was that an add-on was already included in the plan and calls will cost 3 pence a minute to mobile numbers. At first I tried to call Italy and calls where disabled. I came back to the shop and they wanted 50 pounds of deposit to enable international calls (to be returned back at the end of the contract). Reluctantly I accepted.
That day I made some calls to my wife in Italy and with a great surprise I discovered (texting to 150) an extra charge of 10 pounds (much more than what I was expected to be charged).
I tried to access MyEE on the web and mobile application, but I couldn't for two days. I went to the shop and they told me that the lady I spoke was going to call me the next day to resolve the problem. She hadn't call me.
I went back to the shop again and, after 30 minutes, the same lady with whom I signed the contract a week before told me that, because my plan was monthly based, the fare was 15 PENCE A MINUTE INSTEAD OF 3. She told me that they would give back the difference of 8 pounds in the next bill, but anyhow I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 5 TIMES WHAT I WAS SAID I HAVE TO PAY WHEN I SIGNED THE CONTRACT. Unless I bought an add on of 10 pounds per month to call up to five numbers outside UK (why only 5 I ask to myself). I didn't want to start from scratch with another company, so I bought the add-on, with a lot of care in reading all the details of the add-on. The result has been: 3 POUNDS FOR 10 MINUTES OF CONVERSATION EVEN IF I HAVE 500 MINUTES INCLUDED IN THE ADD-ON.

Moreover: the Internet application and the mobile app to check costs are both crappy. They not only have a lot of technical problems (50% of the times login page doesn't load), but they are also absolutely not transparent in the information they give to customers. For example: they have a section in which they show the add-ons you have. Obviously, when something is wrong you want to check the details of your add-on to find out if there is something you have missed in the conditions: but there is nothing other then the title of the add-on (that is also a little different with which you chose) and a link to ee website.

Tomorrow I am going to brake the contract.

BTW: the also don't have a mail box to which forward this review. Unbelievable.

Mildly vexing...

I was an EE customer for about 3.5 years and decided to close my account last October (as I felt my contract was way overpriced considering what it offered compared to other providers, plus every other week they kept trying to sell me stuff I had no use for...).

Upon closure, naturally there was a final bill of around £64 which was due and I was okay with that. However, when the time came to pay the bill, I (unknowingly) had no direct debit set up so the bill went unpaid. At this point, one would expect EE to have made some form of contact in order to chase payment, but instead I heard nothing from them (no phone calls, emails, text messages, postal mail etc) so was totally unaware of the unpaid bill and to make matters worse they also submitted an 'Account Settled' status to my credit file with Experian.

As it turns out, EE also opened up a new credit file for the amount of the unpaid bill and for the past 4 months have being filing unpaid statuses to it. This record is not shown on the Credit Expert report and the only reason I know it exists is because I recently registered with Noddle which, fortunately, has it listed.

Edit: I have modified my review because I wrote to EE on the same day as writing this review and, even though the events still took place, in a relatively short space of time, they have contacted the credit reference agencies to remove the negative entries and the bill is now settled, so giving credit where it's due, EE can't be that bad.

Leaving after 10 years of custom

Just received a phone bill with £30 extra charges due to their access charges for calling customer service lines. Absolutely disgusting as when I looked up the number the info lead me to believe the charge would be 7p a minute and didn't mention the additional 42p a minute charge they would be billing me for!! Will not be renewing my contract and leaving them after 10 years of customer after this!

EE shop - 2nd Floor, Thames Walk, Bluewater Mall

I came in the shop asking for assistance, as I am an EE customer ( since 1998 it was still called One to One ), because I the battery in my mobile phone (Samsung S3 mini) has failed and it won't even re-charge.
I was approached by Edward - Customer Service Adviser, I informed him of the issue and he then suggested straight away of a possible mobile phone upgrade. I told Edward, I was not interested in an upgrade and I just wanted a new battery for my mobile phone, he then said I will see if there is any batteries for my mobile phone and maybe test it at their backroom, he then went in and closed the door and came out after a few minutes and said the battery he used won't work, I then questioned him and asked to show me the battery he was trying to fit in my mobile was bigger than my mobile phone! I told him forget it and told him what do you take me for an idiot! Edward was just interested in signing me up for an upgrade and is not interested in helping me! Shame on him and shame on EE for hiring questionable, scamming people! I for one have been telling people to avoid going to the EE shop in Bluwater particularly the one in the 2nd floor, Thames Walk!

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD

Worst company I've ever been with, untrustworthy, terrible customer care, disgrace of a company.
Charged me £500 one month £250 another, charged me two final bills.
Called up to question this hung up on twice.
Paying £60 a month for a terrible contract. The worst part is just how useless the customer service team have been. Friendly advice stay away.

kind of neutral

been with ee and also t mobile for a long time. not impressed that ee have now put up the cost of t mobile monthweb by more than double from £5 to £12. yes, ok put it up but that by that amount all at once is a bit much. also im still getting text saying i can buy a monthweb from ee for £5 even though i cant?
had a bit of an issue with getting an ee phone unlocked they said there was a problem with my account. they dont tell you what the problem is they just say there is a problem with your account so we cant unlock the phone so you have to contact them and chase them up to find out what the problem is and get it sorted but once i spoke to them it i was sent an unlock code for fast and for free. also they try to charge you 25p if you need to talk to them. the only way to get to talk to them for free i have found is to call 150 press you want to top up and then press you want to top up by talking to someone then you get put through to a human and just tell them what the problem is and they put you through to someone who will help.
im still with ee and t mobile but im in 2 minds as whether or not to go elsewere.
these are both pay as you go accounts by the way. i would never sign up to a contract with any mobile phone provider.

If I can help just one person ...let it be you

This company are really lovely and very helpful ....until you decide to leave !
....Then they are going to come after you and bleed you to death... NOBODY walks away from EE , they will make it awkward and then delay your pac code transfer and then add charges for the month you should be free of them .... I'm now free of them (I think) and am in a good place....... just like to add that their legal team are better than their customer service as when you have a dispute they will turn it into a default and ruin your credit rating for a while

Northampton EE Mobile Store - Abington Street.

The store manager (James) and his team are truly outstanding! One of the best Mobile Phone stores I have ever been to and James runs a very professional team. Ben was awesome, very knowledgeable indeed and despite quite a delay on my upgrade to i-phone 7+, caused by non EE issues, they were really good. I have used them several times as a 'business customer' and so I do have quite high standards, but my daughters have also used them on their own phones and they been equally brilliant.
Well done team you are a credit to the EE brand and I hope the Senior Team and the Shareholders know how damn good you all are.
Regards - Craig (Northants)

APALING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Since 7.30 on the 29th October my phone suddenly stopped receiving network coverage from EE. I am not getting calls, neither can I call. The sim card do no longer and strangely recognise their network. I have been sending a complaint through their website and checked or the relevant information that I could get that showed that apparently their network worked. Since 8 . 00 am this morning I have been in contact via facebook and I must say I am quite shocked by the level of customer service received so far ALL THEIR DO IS COPY AND PASTE INFO FROM THEIR WEBSITE to assist you and do SHOW HOW A CS AGENT SHOULD WORK helping AND RESOLVING ISSUES for their customers. I HAVE BEEN TELLING THE AGENT WHAT HE SHOULD DO BUT HE JUST REPLIES BY PASTING SOME IRRELEVANT INFO . SHOCKING AND APALING IS THE SERVICE YOU RECEIVE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

rip off service

I have had many issues with data on my mobile, I do not use it!! only if I am shopping and stays on no less than half an hour and they reckon I have used my data for the month when it has only just renewed. I have called them, emailed them and still get no where, I threatened one of the advisers that I was going to ofcom, and his response was ok not a problem and hung up. am still having issues with the mobile and they do not want to know, as long as your direct debits are set in place they don't give a dam. So off to ofcom I go now, I have all the documentation and E-chat scripts and conversations we have had.

price hikes and contract trapped and sucess

Well where do i start

I was originally with t mobile who sold me a rubbish insurance policy.

Then moves to ee cool went fine for awhile

Moved house, signal ok (by ok only being able to receive calls from the living room window nothing new ee is the only network so we can't argue)

Eventually signal worsened when 4g came, came to a point I was standing on my car on the drive with no signal. Sadly 4g is reserved for the animals in the forest.

Another contract in 2015 great deal nice new phone. THEN a month later the rpi price rise which was wrong haven't been in my contract 1 month and incorrect billing information with the price rise came correct by call centre.

2016

Tried to sell my partner another line saying it was an upgrade 2 months before the contract ended. Tried to get me to upgrade it (I'm not the account holder).

Out of bundle price hike, this was unexpected and a disgrace. Why should i have to pay 50p a minute to pay for an area with the worst signal imaginable with the only provider (or so I thought) to pay for somebody else's bt sports as 500 minutes a month ain't good enough. Keep in mind BT already screwed my internet by moving the exchange which boosts the phone signal. (Yes i hate bt)

After 4-5 phone calls ee gave way and allowed me to leave early based on the price hike, going over bundle and refused upgrade price plan.

Now I've moved to asda who uses the ee (BT) network.

Cheap, friendly and works couldn't ask for more.

EE you are plebs for selling to British t*ssers sadly it's nice to know bt ain't changed As my +net (bt under a different name contract) is going to be ending soon.

So NOW everything is BT, Competition doesn't exist here. BT mobile network, BT phone line rental oh and the ok bt company plusnet who was created due to bt's failing Indian call centres.

Yea i seriously believe a company should get their butts here to sort this out.

Issue with bt, forced to stay it's like that movie going postal.....clacks clacks clacks why does anybody want to use the post office....

Rubbish store in SE18 Woolwich

Went in to take out a broadband package and queued up for ages only to have someone cut in front of me. I told the assistant and he said his colleague was almost free only to have another man cut in front. When I told the assistant he ignored me so I left. How can you run a store in such shambles? never had such poor customer service before..

Horendously ill mannered and poor service

I have a phone with an services discount reducing the bill by £5 a month allegedly. This has never happened only at point of purchase and has since been charged £29.99 a month for the last 3 months . I advised and EE and they refuse to refund as their is no such note on the account. Don't trust these cowboys. The customer service advisor was rude and arrogant and didn't give a s##t. For training purposes EE listen to the sales advisor on how not to gain a customer.
