I took part of the second edition at Food and Sustainability program and it was amazing! We had a live session weekly with experts related to some part of the food system and another informal meeting to know colleagues from every country.

The team of experts was really impressive and this made it possible for us to know more about the challenges of each stage of the food system, from planting to consumption, passing through the challenges of transport, storage and access to healthy food.

I recommend this course to everyone who wants to understand the impact of our food choices in the near future. It is the best way to be aware of the present and to be able to move towards a more sustainable future in an active and conscious way.

Thank you to everyone involved for making this course possible!

I did a course on Food & Sustainability with EIIS and it was an amazing experience. The course was a perfect mix of theoretical and practical content with engaging digital content and weekly a LIVE session and an informal event. I would highly recommend going for it. Sustainability in the food sector is equally a matter of concern as transportation and building construction. Give it a try and you will thank me later :D

This course was exactly what I hoped it would be. The project seems daunting throughout the whole course but is very interesting and a great way of putting everything we’re learning into practice. Each module kept me interested and the professionals that would come and speak were truly brilliant.

Grazie per aver portato alla portata di tutti temi scientifici non sempre semplici, grazie per aver dato visibilità e importanza alla biodiversità italiana, grazie per dare speranza alla natura, grazie per far capire quanto ci possa essere un profitto da un'area naturale.

Questo corso è stato veramente illuminante per me fino dall'inizio. L'idea di mandare una foto su cosa fosse per noi la biodiversità ha subito acceso la mia curiosità e sono queste piccole richieste, i piccoli regali come l'albero piantato, che hanno fatto si che il corso fosse apprezzato da tutti.

Nonostante conoscessi già buona parte degli argomenti trattati (studio ecologia all'università), tutti i lunedì non vedevo l'ora di passare due ore al computer ad ascoltare dei bellissimi interventi degli esperti da voi contattati. Molto bella la possibilità di interagire, poter chiedere domande anche dal vivo, parlare direttamente con gli esperti.

La challenge è stata una bellissima parte del corso che mi ha dato la possibilità di mettermi veramente in gioco, capire le problematiche di un'area protetta e quanto nella concretezza sia in realtà difficile mettere in pratica un progetto, ma ti fa anche capire come se credi nelle cose tutto è risolvibile. Non è stata soltanto un esercizio, ma è un metodo di insegnamento che ti fa capire i concetti facendoti arrivare da solo alla soluzione; che soddisfazione scoprire le cose da solo, senza che l'insegnamento ti sia imposto dall'alto e dato per scontato senza spiegare il perchè!

Il weekend in oasi poi è stato veramente bello, peccato fossero solamente due mezze giornate. Tanto viaggio per venire lì e poco tempo per visitare il tutto. Bellissima l'idea di fare la visita alle prime oasi del wwf italiano, ma abbiamo parlato solo di uccelli. Il corso non era incentrato solo su questi bellissimi animali, per cui sarebbe stato anche bello che ci fossero altri educatori a parlarci di altra biodiversità italiana.
Nonostante tutto anche lì in Toscana è stato stupenda l'accoglienza e la disponibilità di tutti e avere la possibilità di conoscere alcuni compagni di corso che altrimenti rimanevano un volto simpatico sullo schermo.

Nonostante ciò, mi è però mancata un po' la parte di manager, come saper gestire un'area protetta, cosa fare nel concreto. Le 10 lezioni trattano solamente la parte di biodiversità, mentre la parte di manager è lasciata alla parte della challenge, ma avere qualche lezione anche di manager sarebbe interessante, soprattutto perchè l'attrazzione del corso è proprio avere la possibilità di saper poi gestire un ambiente naturale e questo non viene spiegato in nessuna parte del corso.

Last, but not least, ho trovato in generale la community di EIIS fantastica. Il sito è fatto molto bene, le persone sempre disponibili e gentili, che bello!

The Food and Sustainability Certificate Program at The European Institute for Innovation and Sustainability is excellent! I recommend it to everyone. First, I want to thank EIIS and everyone who has been involved in the development of this course.

This course has been exceptional and has elevated my awareness of the challenges in recreating a new food economy on a local and global scale thru public policy as an element of the food system. Secondly, we need multinational corporations, institutions, and trade organizations in global food production and access. And lastly, efforts in community education and food literacy are an essential part of the solution.

The course has also shown me how communities worldwide have met the challenges of climate change, social justice, and inequality. Implementing regenerative organic farming is significant in meeting these challenges, and these challenges are not insurmountable!

If we can appreciate that the current system is a product of human choices and that human decisions can radically improve the food system, we will be one step closer to change.

The EIIS' Food and Sustainability course has been a pretty amazing platform to learn best global practices geared towards building resilient food systems. I had the opportunity to listen to and learn from a fine array of experts. The learning also came from the participants, a keen and diverse group of food and climate conscious individuals from across the globe. I would say, the diversity of the participants and the experts brought in is the key to the success of this program. I consider myself privileged to be part of this team. I would recommend this course to anyone who is keen to contribute to or be part of fixing our broken food systems.

Food & Sustainability course by EIIS is one of the essential course at present time for everyone to know about the food systems.

I wasn't aware about the situation of food systems around the world. The course provided me with a deeper understanding, greater insights, best practices, various policies, innovations in food system sector.

Interacting with experts such as Chefs, policymakers, CEOs, journalist, professors, etc during the weekly sessions enables me to get in depth knowledge of the food system. Also participating with classmates from all over the world was a great learning experience.

Another great feature was the challenge which enables me to apply the knowledge which I gain during the course.

Digital Campus was at its best!!! especially the discussion feature and pdfs. The coordinators were very supportive. Luca, Francesca, Sveva, Biagio and the whole team, thanks a lot for such an interesting course.

My experience with the EIIS exceeded my expectations. During the Food & Sustainability Certificate Program I learned a lot about this topic from great experts in the field and also from my fellow participants. A multidisciplinary approach to the course topic, the possibility to interact with experts during the lectures and a network of participants from all over the world are the strengths of the Certificate Program I attended. The challenge-based learning approach allowed me to put into practice what I had learned during the lessons and to work in a team with other motivated course participants.
The whole EIIS team accompanied us during these months with great competence and attention to our needs and suggestions.

As a person who has both received and conducted adult education, I cannot speak higher about the quality of this course. The content was relevant, comprehensive, and delivered by industry experts, not conceptual textbooks. Finally, the ability to interact with others live from around the world enriched the experience even more. I am coming out of this course a different, better, better-informed person.

It has been amazing! The lectures'level was really high and the organization was perfect. What I loved the most was Food Talks. A great moment to meet each others and have a little fun even if behind a screen!

I believe this sense of community is the greatest strength of the course.
