My overall experience was pretty good and smooth with the fllat team. The location was great for me to commute, the building was safe and the team was very friendly and attentive.

I had a great experience with Fllat. The staff were always friendly, professional, and quick to respond whenever I needed assistance. Their support made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate their dedication and excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

Do not go with this agency!! Rented a flat through them in London. The flat was cluttered with old tenants things. The bathroom was dirty and had to pay out of pocket for a cleaner. Was also gaslit to believe the heating system worked when it never did. When I moved out, after losing myself to health issues and being mentally drained, I was ghosted and did not get my deposit back (which was also not protected).

This company was very disappointing to deal with. My son was specifically looking for a short-term lease, and that was made clear from the beginning. He completed the background check and was preparing to sign the lease, only to be told afterward that short-term leases were not accepted at this location. It felt like they continued the process while looking for another tenant willing to sign a one-year lease, and my son was simply a backup option. As a result, he lost opportunities with other apartments while waiting. Very frustrating experience and poor communication.
There was no confusion or misunderstanding. My son was told vis text, email and in person that he could rent the room for 5 months as the add indicated. He paid the $40+ for the background check and was approved and when he was sent the lease it was for one year which was frustrating because my son had repeatedly told them he couldn’t commit to a year lease. My son asked to be refunded for the amount he had to pay for the background check, but they just keep ignoring him. I would never let my son consider renting with these people, even if it was his last option.

I stayed in a Flatt property (Mansfield location) for approximately 2.5 months.
I had just moved from Miami and specifically chose short-term housing to give myself time to find a long-term place in New York.
The location was great and the staff I interacted with were generally helpful. However, the overall experience turned out to be very stressful.
For about a month, there was no hot water in the building. Because of this, I had to move out earlier than planned, around mid-December. This created a very difficult situation for me, as finding short-term housing in Manhattan during that period is extremely expensive and challenging.
The finance team agreed to refund half a month of rent and my security deposit, which I appreciated at the time. However, despite this agreement, I have now been waiting for over 3 months without receiving the money.
I have followed up multiple times and continue to receive vague responses, with no clear payment date or resolution.
It is also concerning to see similar reviews mentioning ongoing issues with hot water in the building.
While the location itself was good, the lack of basic living conditions and the ongoing delay in refunding a confirmed amount have made this a very frustrating experience.
I would advise others to be cautious, especially regarding refunds and overall living conditions.
I hope the company resolves this situation soon.

The apt I rented out was fine and they took care of my concerns. The lease agreement process was smooth. However like others on this site I also moved out end of Jan and still haven’t received my security deposit back and it’s almost end of March. The law in NYC says the security deposit must be returned 14 days after vacating the place. The fake finance team is always processing it but they can’t provide a date, so be careful if you rent from them.
I moved out more than a month ago and my security deposit has still not been returned. Despite weeks of follow-ups, the agency has failed to provide any documentation or proof of deductions for damages.
This situation remains unresolved.

I moved out on January 31st. I am yet to receive my security deposit. I have contacted them several time but they keep saying they will speak with the finance team. The finance team is always active when they want to collect rent but hard to reach when you need your deposit.
We had to evacuate the bulding because they had a court case with the management, basically while we were paying rent, they were not remitting it to the main housing management allegedly. It took me a week to quickly move in somewhere before I became homeless.

Moved out on 10/31/2025 and STILL have not received my security deposit - almost 4 months later. Have emailed multiple times and get the same canned email response each time they they are "working with their finance team" and are backed up on returning deposits. This is illegal! I am furious. Do not use this "company!" It is clearly a scam.

Was told that deposit would be returned within 30 days. I moved out on Dec 20th... It's now feb 10th and still nothing. I have chased on numerous occasions, and even though they've replied saying they're working on it, there's still no deposit return.
I know I'm not the only person who's had this issue too. I have had 3/4 friends move out the same block with the EXACT same issue.

Terrible platform, illegal operations... not returning people's deposits, customer service is nonexistent, seems like just robots writing the same jingle over and over again. NO phone number to address customers' concerns. Whatever you save with them, you will waste on legal fees. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
