We paid extra for the “American Hardwood” frames. They feel and look chintsy, like low grade Home Depot lumber, and the joining was poor and sloppy on each of the frames (lots of visible seams/gaps). The price wasn’t markedly cheaper than some real high quality artisan frames made in America. The print quality was mediocre, nothing much different from Amazon photos.
Disappointing. This company advertises local stores, and fast next day service. I walked into the store near my house, and found out that they print and ship everything from India, and it's just the same cheap garbage quality stuff you can get everywhere else on the Internet. The physical stores are simply showrooms but the product comes from India. Pointless. I can order cheap garbage from China on the Internet if I want to. Avoid this company.
The associate who greeted me was very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable about Framebridge’s product. The store is nicely laid out with a good selection of framed pieces to use as a starting point for the uninitiated. I had a general idea of how I wanted the frame and mat to appear when finished, but the associate walked me through the final details with some great recommendations specific to the work I was having framed and clearly explained any cost exceptions for product upgrades. She also provided a pro- forma view of the final product. After I was satisfied with the preview, the associate clearly explained the cost, timing (reasonably quick compared to competitors) and a pick up / delivery option (free). I follow up email was immediately sent with a preview photo and cost breakdown. I was also given a card with the associate’s name for any follow up questions. In summary, a great customer experience that was quick and clear!
Maybe this company is good at framing, but they can’t send me a quality digital print to save their lives. They blame my computer screen, but I have had no other issues between my screen and prints either from my own printer and other companies. They send very dark prints and claim screen photos are 70% brighter. When asked to correct, they sent me another image that was only mildly brighter. Photographers should avoid any digital print services through framebridge.
I took a canvas into the Greenwich Village location on a Friday morning to be outfitted with a floater frame and by the following Wednesday, I received an email, that my canvas was "skewed/bowed" and work could not be completed unless I opt for a frame change or "un-stretch and re-stretch" the artwork. My artwork was not skewed or bowed!
My reply was of disbelief and I asked to have the canvas returned immediately as I needed it for an upcoming exhibition. I was told it would be returned "ASAP" and a refund was issued.
The return was anything but "ASAP"; after multiple calls to the store and email follow ups with customer service reps, telling me my artwork is on it's way, my canvas was returned from their New Jersey factory location, to the Bank Street store, an entire week later.
And to top it off, the painting was returned to me without it's original back wiring.
DO NOT TRUST
They lost my package and are offering me some sort of BS investigation with UPS and asking me to wait 10 days as though that will do anything. I should have just paid more $$ and gone with someone in person.
I had a fantastic experience with Framebridge! Their website was super easy to use. You can upload a pic of your artwork and visualize it with any frame. Once you buy, then send you a flat mailer for your artwork, so you just stick it in, then drop it off at UPS. Then a week or two later, my perfectly framed artwork came back! Fantastic communication along the way. The frame seems perfect, super high quality, really nice hanging hardware. It was a perfect experience for me.
UPDATE 12/16: I want to be fair to this company and am adjusting my review to 3 stars. Customer service did ultimately succeed in "expediting" my order (i.e., meeting the original delivery timeline), and it looks like they upgraded my shipping to Next Day to do so. I appreciate the effort they took to make this situation right, but do wish that they had notified me of the risk of the delivery date slipping proactively given that I had notified them in advance of the criticality of meeting the delivery timeline.
Original Review 12/13:
I elected to use Framebridge to print and frame a photo for my my family member's memorial service. They provided an estimated delivery date that would have more than met this date, and I clearly emphasized in my order comments how important it was for the delivery date to be met, or for me to informed ASAP if there was a risk that this could not be met. I did not receive any further communication until the original estimated delivery date when suddenly any delivery estimate disappeared entirely from the order. I had to reach out to customer service myself to be told that they did not believe they would be able to meet the original shipping date. I cannot speak to the quality of the actual product but be warned that you should avoid using Framebridge if you have anything resembling a time sensitive request.
They are extremely SLOPPY. I had 6 items framed there and 3 of them had issues. The first one was an issue with the frame. The joints weren’t lined up. I mean I know it's a discount framing place but really?? They aren’t even that cheap. The second was a photo. They scratched the photo and got gum marks all over it. They apologized and offered to frame it “complimentary” If I supplied them with a new photo. What kind of crap is that??They didn’t even offer to pay for printing or shipping on a piece of artwork they damaged. The third which is the icing on the cake was a valuable lithograph which I had framed by FB. They got a fingerprint on it!! And their solution was to increase the matting to cover it up. This was really upsetting and I told them it was an unacceptable offer. They emailed back saying they fixed the litho. They didn’t ask me it that was okay. Alot of the time more damage can be done and its really risky. Just totally unprofessional behavior.
I do not like leaving negative reviews. I had several pieces framed by Framebridge. Unfortunately with very mixed results. Some of them came out reasonably well, although not flawless. However two unique art pieces were in fact destroyed by Framebridge and the company casually offered a refund, not truly appreciating the damage. I will not use their service -which is not exactly cheap- again
I worked for Framebridge. Loved my job. Framebridge does not support victims of domestic violence, however. I was falsely arrested because of domestic violence, because my boyfriend lost his job, and was jealiues of me ,he had me arrested on made up charges. Because of this of course I could not report my absence. I have been fired even tho thet kniw nothing was my fault woe to the poor man in the coma, the woman pulled into a van on the side of the road, the kidnapped hitchhiker , all would be fired from frambridge.
The first time I tried Framebridge it didn’t go well. To their credit, they gave me a free medium frame so I decided to try them one last time only to find the promo code they gave doesn’t work and customer service said it may be fraudulent. It came from your own company!!! I will avoid this company after this. First impression was bad and they continue living up to it.
After a nearly three month wait to get my item back:
The framed item, a feather from a recently deceased parrot belonging to a close friend, was glued backward (muted color and sheen) directly to the matting.
Why it was mounted backward is anyone's guess, but what I do know is that it looks like something a middle schooler would put together and is effectively un-giftable.
Worse, the feather is ruined due to being glued directly to the matting and can't be used again. You get what you pay for.
overpriced and not worth it. Both of the ones we ordered came in with issue
The backs on one of them were uneven and could not be installed flush against wall
the other was completely out of the frame and actually damaged the art work
Dont waste your money here
I really didn't want to leave this review, as I had a decent experience with Myranda during my gallery wall consultation. But after getting sent a gallery wall with an entire photo&frame missing, and now a faulty hook on one of the frames that fell off immediately after hanging- I'm left feeling like I got MAJORLY ripped off. After spending $1,000+ dollars for this gallery wall, I expected to not have to go out and buy super glue for the frame hook. Ridiculous. Save your money, do a gallery wall on your own.
One of the worst customer experiences of my life. HORRIBLE QUALITY. Every. Single. Thing. Was. Wrong. Find a local frame store to deal with. Framebridge doesn't know what the hell it is doing.

Slow order fulfillment and delivery
Review by Anonymous UserDo not waste your time or your money with this company. They will give you an unrealistic shipping time, then drag their heels on fulfilling your order. The customer service people are nice enough, but cannot get anything expedited for you. The "happiness guarantee" on their website, "If you’re not 100% happy with your order for any reason, let us know and we’ll make it right," is an outright lie. If I could give zero stars, I would! The framed print I ordered is a gift that will not be delivered in time for the occasion. Use Mpix! They have never let me down.
I've used framebridge multiple times, and have yet to be disappointed. They've made so much of my artwork look incredible, and their customer service is top notch.
I had an amazing framing experience (we used them for our wedding photos). I had only ever used a local framer before, so I was a little nervous, but Caroline and Laura really took care of us, andI will only frame with Framebridge from here on out. I highly recommend them to everyone I know.
