They are not based in the UK, suspect China. They took my money £35 then took 2 weeks to ship. The product is terrible and not fit for purpose. I requested return and refund and they will not do it.

They are breaking every consumer law in the UK and will continue unless they are stopped.

Their website says ‘30 day returns’ and ‘skip the cheap plastic drones’ - 100% incorrect! I ordered a remote control helicopter £47.90 RRP ( £97.99 ) . The quality was sub-standard. I should have got one from Poundland! Their customer service boshed me off stating blah, blah, blah - saying that the product is what was specified on their website. I cant find anywhere where they mention that its a cheap, rubbish product

I bought a tiny hand held hoover for my car in Sept 25, about 8 weeks later it stopped working, and I reached out to Gear Tech in December. I thought it was just the charger in my car that was the issue, not the product.

I was told I can retunr it after 30 days, and even if I had been able to return it it could cost at least £30.

Avoid this company. Goods must be coming from China directly, hence the poor aftercare service.

Do not trust this company, it's 100% a scam. Took my money and then sent me a fake SD card from Ali express and refused to pay bk my money

Do not buy anything from this awful company. They think their own company policies trump the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
They just keep referring to their returns policy, though even this is different to what their website says which states - 30 days for whatever reason. I’ve contacted Citizens Advice who have passed this on to Trading Standards and I’d recommend anyone else does the same if they have a complaint. I know it takes time, but Gear-tech will just keep fobbing you off and will do nothing but Trading Standards need to know. Be warned!

Bought a robot mop it doesn’t even work After testing it I wanted a refund but they won’t refund as I’ve opened it !! Horrible company avoid them as they are crooks . Chinese shite goods as well with no instructions.

Ordered a heated car seat which was too small

My son's godfather bought him a helicopter from this site, and what arrived did not resemble the item shown in any way. In hindsight, the only 4* and 5* reviews of the product appeared too good to be true. The product that arrived was all plastic, very cheaply made and broke within the first 10 mins of use. Clearly a scam!

Bought some Waterproof Fleece LIned Thermal Trousers. They were too small, poor quality with no labels at all. Sent an email asking for a return number. No reply, but after second email got a reply, with excuses for not giving a return number. After the sixth email, and many excuses, referred to PayPal and was refunded. Wish we had read the reviews before ordering.

Terrible items delivered (eventually) completely mis sold and not fit for purpose. Refused a return despite their website clearly saying easy returns. Avoid buying anything from these sellers of poor quality Chinese rubbish. I am trying a dispute through PayPal but unfortunately I think I have wasted my money. Absolute crooks.

Do not use this company. There is no customer protection and their customer service is terrible.

Avoid Avoid Avoid. P9 headphones that are styled around the Apple pod headphones are awful. Look cheap, sound awful and are not worth even half the money. The sound quality is like listening to music through a drainpipe and it doesn’t even sound very wide in stereo quality. The company advertises itself as uk based. It isn’t! It’s based in China and takes many days to reach you. My advice, simply avoid. Money down the drain. Save up and get the real quality you deserve. I’ve got sennheiser in ear pods that will be fine for now.

What a complete shit show, bought a toy helicopter for my grandsons Christmas present

I paid £50 It’s true value was £5 max and that was if it worked which it didn’t

Bought a robot hoover which did not work, had to send a video in to customer services. They then sent me a replacement which I really didn't want and the same thing again. I requested a refund and offered to send both robots back. They emailed back to say they did not offer a refund and as a good will gesture offered me 30% of the cost. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY..ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL. It does say on their website that they will refund but that is a lie! Totally disappointed what a waste of my hard earned money

Don't buy anything from this dreadful company. There description are wrong and the reviews on the website are made up and very misleading. The return policy is no existent, they will pretend to care to string you along until there next made up returns policy policy kicks in and they don't reply to you emails. Don't be fooled by the deals or cheap prices nothing is worth buying. In the process of talking with Trading Standards as they really are a bunch of scammers.

So appalled I am with my experience buying from this company, I felt compelled to finally join TrustPilot and leave my own review.

If only I’d read what other reviewers had written beforehand – it would have saved me from a very frustrating and long protracted process in dealing with this company. A painful lesson learned.

As so many others have already said and I cannot echo enough, do not buy from this company. Despite them stating they have a UK address in Dunstable, when attempting to return an item within 14 days of receiving it, they then state they do not adhere to or comply with UK’s Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Their “General Return, Cancel & Exchange Policy”, “General Return, Cancel & Exchange Policy”, “Within 14 days of receiving your goods” are misleading and in my view, have been deliberately written/worded to lull potential customers into a false sense of security/consumer protection on their purchase.

In my case, I raised a disputed transaction with PayPal, I did get a full refund.

Terrible company selling rubbish gear. I bought a 4TB external SSD drive which stopped working a few weeks after receiving it. When I asked for a replacement I was told that it was out of their 30 day warranty and they wouldn't replace or refund (which seems to be against UK government trading policy, although because I formatted the drive for Mac, I can't be bothered to follow it up as it was advertised as a Windows 10 drive). After a string of emails back and forth, they still wouldn't replace it (£40!), so I'm left with a useless drive which is going to have to go to the tip. Would have given it no stars if I could.

Minus stars! Scam. Not a UK company as advertised, Ships from China. Ordered heated seat, tracking said it was delivered but I did not receive item. Company finds this acceptable, shocking attitude. Wish I'd read reviews before ordering. Paid for item I have not received, no recourse:( Merry Christmas.

I ordered a magnetic keyboard case for my iPad Pro 2024, advertised at a heavy discount (£74.99 down from £124.99). The website (gear-tech) looks professional, with UK branding, a uk domain, and a listed address in Dunstable – everything suggested it was a legitimate UK retailer.
What arrived weeks later was a cheap, low-quality case shipped directly from China. It completely lacked the advertised magnetic flap/lift mechanism for the rubber separator/protection, and the build quality was poor – nothing like the product images.
I immediately requested a return and full refund, citing my 14-day cooling-off rights under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations (change of mind is perfectly valid). Their response? Endless template emails refusing a proper refund, claiming “discounted items are non-refundable” (which is illegal in the UK), insisting the product “matches the description”, and saying I must return it at my own expense – which they warned would cost €40+ to their overseas warehouse, with high risks of loss/damage invalidating everything.
They repeatedly offered insulting partial refunds (20% cash or 50% store credit) to make the issue go away, while ignoring UK law entirely. This is a classic dropshipping tactic to deter legitimate returns and keep your money.
Gear Tech has over 1,000 reviews on Trustpilot averaging around 1.3 stars – the vast majority describe the exact same experience: misleading UK appearance, cheap Chinese dropshipped junk, misrepresented products, and systematic refusal of statutory refunds.
Do NOT buy from them. Save yourself the hassle and order from a genuine retailer. I’m now escalating via my payment provider for a chargeback – wish I’d checked independent reviews first.
