Got $65 as a gift-if I linked to my debit card I would get $10 bonus. I did this but never had my debit card with me to use at the specific store. That debit card expired so I wanted to switch the $75 to my new debit card. Couldn’t do it through the website, chatbot didn’t help. Ended up creating a ticket for email correspondence and the reply was unhelpful. I ended up linking the store specific card to be able to use my GiftYa balance, but lost the bonus $10 by doing so. Went to the store and paid with the card and guess what-there wasn’t a $65 credit applied to the purchase. COMPLETE SCAM! I feel bad for the person that wasted their money by sending a gift with GiftYa.

Giftya offers PayPal as an option for payment and then doesn’t accept it!
I didn’t realize this until I noticed that the payment was processing for a day and then I had to find out on my own that the PayPal option could not be processed. This resulted in a late ecard! Evidently a lot of people had problems too because I was told customer support would get back to me in 4 to 5 hours!

I linked my debit card and got a confirmation notice. I had $60 in my account. The gift ya was for stop&shop. I used my card at stop and shop for $50. The gift ya was for $100. After I got back to my car I checked my account. $10!!! Nothing from gift ya!!!! I live in my car!!! Now I can't get gas!!! Horrible experience, its 15° out and I can't run my heater

This is a scam that uses the store's logo in their advertising. I thought I was purchasing a gift card directly from the store. There is NO live agent to talk to & their voice menu claims there are NO refunds. VERY misleading advertising especially if you have Dyslexia.

My step mother bought me a gift card-- a big one, for a local restaurant. Only issue is, I never received a notice. I went to their site and engaged with the worst AI bot I've ever encountered, but despite the bot claiming that I can chat with a human if I ask for that, they only have an email option. Every response is a new agent name and it takes over an hour between email responses. I've been dealing with this all day. Finally I just got a response that a new link was texted to my number-- but I still haven't received any text. Is this company just a scammer stealing old people's money... because I'm starting to think that's literally what it is. If you just paid them $10, you might just give up and let it slide, but in this case, it was way more $$ than that.. and we are not going to give up so easily. I have never encountered an customer service as bad as this company. I triple checked, and the email and phone number they have for me is correct.. they are just not sending me squat. They love to insist online that they aren't a scam but have done nothing whatsoever to prove that they aren't.

The most ridiculous excuse for gift giving. This website is only able to stay open because they do not give you full refunds when you realize you're not actually getting what you pay for. You have to spend your own money in order for them to put the gift card money back into your account. They Markey like there is an egiftcard option and there IS NOT! This is not user friendly and the most absurd thing I have seen!

**UPDATE** Just received a reply asking me to contact support. I tried doing this for about 45 minutes originally thru chat, web, and phone, and could not get any help. Why would it work now when it didn’t the first time around? I don’t have another 45 minutes to waste. Buy your gift cards directly from the retailer, its not worth using this site!!

It is just a scam, how do you expect someone who uses gift card to have any type of credit card. I wanted to gift a Amazon gift card to a friend who only uses cash. He couldn't even use the gift card I sent even after I paid in full, he had to make his own account and then link his card. What's the point of gift card if you have to link your card to it. Unnecessary middleman at this point just there to add in fees.

Ive used giftya twice but will never use it again! The first time was a Roblox gift card for my daughter. It was pretty confusing to figure out the redeeming process but we eventually got it. A few weeks have passed and now my son needs one so I attempt it again just because I know its at the very least a legit company and we did get what we paid for eventually. So for that reason and thinking since I figured it out the first time the second time would go a little smoother. It didnt! When I sent my daughters I sent it to her phone where she plays her game but my son doesn’t have a phone and plays on a tablet so I sent it to my wife since youre not aloud to send to yourself. For some reason the process of getting the code he needs to apply it to his game was completely different the 2nd time and way more complicated than it needs to be!

website is pretty easy to navigate and there is decent range but delivery was way slower than expected. ordered something for last minute occasion and it arrived a day late. will never rely them for urgent orders.
