a lovely store to visit and the staff are always helpful

Had a coffee in Gillies Perth and was just having a browse on the way out. My father was looking for a recliner chair and Kaylie gave us helpful advice. The prices were on special and we felt including delivery we got a great price. Kaylie was lovely to deal with and not pressuring. A lovely experience.

Great service from sale to delivery

Again, we have had outstanding help and assistance with the purchase of a new sofa from the excellent team at Gillies. Gillies is an excellent firm who are fantastic to deal with. The knowledge and expertise of the staff is second to none. For example, Marcelina helped us today with getting the right sofa for our living room. She advised us on the dimensions, the design of the sofa and the fabric. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Our family has been customers of Gillies for a long time and would recommend them to anyone. The staff are lovely and are always on hand to assist without being over-bearing. Everything is done at your pace and you definitely get a very comprehensive service. What is also really great is that the staff remember you and are able to look up their records to find out the colours and fabrics you already have whether this is in respect of furniture or floor-coverings. The products that Gillies are of excellent quality and good value for money. The choice and range of products mean that there is something for everyone.

Required hall carpet and as I shopped at Gillies years ago for carpets I decided to visit the shop in Holburn Strret, Aberdeen. I spoke to Natasha who was very friendly and let me browse then joined me so I left the shop with a sample carpet. At home I decided it was not for me. 2 days later visited shop to return sample and decided on my choice and I had already booked a date for measurements. After quote I went ahead with order. Carpet now futted and I am very happy as fitters were really good and very friendly.

Sales staff, delivery team and after sales all excellent

The two gentlemen were so careful with the dining room table and chairs and the two suites . They positioned the two suites as they wre heavy for me to adjust . First class service from arrival until finished

My hall carpet has a very noticeable join as fitter says the caroet has been cut with wrong grain. Disappointed

Extremely disappointing experience with Gillies

We purchased Invictus flooring from Gillies in Perth in April, believing we were buying a quality product from a reputable company.

From the beginning, we were given conflicting advice. The surveyor who measured our hallway advised that the floor needed to be screeded before the new flooring was fitted. However, when we returned to the store, we were told by the salesperson that screeding was unnecessary because the flooring had a built-in backing that would compensate for any unevenness.

We relied on that advice and proceeded with the purchase and installation.

Within only a few months, the flooring began lifting at the edges. We contacted the Perth store several times and were repeatedly told someone would call us back. Nobody did. We also contacted customer services twice and were given the same assurances, with no follow-up.

Eventually, Gillies came to our home to address the problem. We understood that the solution would involve screeding the floor to make it level for the replacement flooring. Instead, the contractors began lifting the existing flooring, exposing old tiles underneath dating back to the 1960s.

They then told us that the tiles could potentially contain asbestos and stopped work, leaving our hallway in a state of complete devastation.

We are now left with an unfinished hallway and a potentially serious issue concerning the old tiles. We did not ask for these tiles to be removed, and we have been given no clear explanation as to why they were disturbed in the first place or what Gillies intends to do to put the situation right.

What is particularly disappointing is that this follows an already extremely poor level of communication. We have repeatedly been promised callbacks that never happened, and we are now left waiting for an explanation and a proper plan to resolve the situation.

We have purchased many products from Gillies over the years and have never previously experienced anything like this. Unfortunately, the combination of the flooring problem, the way the remedial work has been handled and the lack of communication has completely undermined our confidence in the company.

We are simply asking Gillies to take responsibility, properly assess the situation, deal appropriately with the potentially asbestos-containing tiles, make the floor suitable for the replacement flooring and restore our hallway to a safe and satisfactory condition.

At present, we are extremely disappointed with both the product and, more importantly, the way our complaint has been handled.

Great service from shop staff, with the picking of your furniture to it being delivered to your house by the friendly and efficient delivery guys.

Karen from the bedding department was excellent and informative.

We spent an hour testing mattresses in the Inverness store with the excellent help of Sales Consultant, Amy. She offered us great advice and we felt happy to make a purchase. Buying a mattress is a big deal. It has to be perfectly right, as we'll spend 1/3 of our lives in our beds! Amy wasn't pushy, just informative and pleasant. She helped us narrow down our search according to our needs and she gave us lots of time and space to discuss each mattress we tried.

Great service through the sale to the delivery

Started with a very knowledgeable sales team and the capers are great value for the money. 4 room fitted and the team that fitted my carpets were first class, very professional and helpful.
