Gillies was founded in 1895 by James Gillies, moving to Broughty Ferry in 1906 as cabinetmakers, upholsterers and removal contractors before finally opening on the current site as 'House Furnishers' in 1939. All the workers in both the Inverness and broughty ferry stores were very helpful.

Both men took great care with my new chair!
Both men took great care with my new chair. Since it couldn't go through our front door, they carried it around to a back door and brought it into the house.
The men could not have been more helpful and friendly despite the additional distance they had to carry the heavy chair! Usual great service from Gillies delivery men!

Excellent service in the shop in Perth to organising delivery as the suite was about 4 weeks earlier than expected. The delivery drivers were courteous and very helpful with nothing to much trouble. Bought most of our furniture from Gillies and never had any problems what so ever. Always first class service
